"I may just have the ranch hands take care of the work today. I can't even think of last night without wanting to yawn," Austin said as he yawned before taking a drink of his coffee. His eyes still looked tired.

"I can lend a hand" Molly said. "it'll take my mind off Aidan being gone" she admitted, as she went downstairs to get her clothes on for the day. She came back upstairs a while later all dressed in her riding outfit. "what chores need to be done today?" she asked, before checking her phone to see if there was any new messages from Aidan. She sighed and put her phone back in her pocket when she saw nothing

"let's see," Austin said as he ran his hands over his face. "Stalls need stripped and cleaned. I need to get Crow worked with a bit...the black mustang gelding worked with. He is having problems with accepting new riders...but I can deal with him later. Horses need water filled in their troughs. There is just too much to remember," Austin announced as he sat up.

"Why don't you let me try with Crow?" Chloe suggested, after all, that was her job. "I can handle him, I worked with Lightning remember, and now he's a winning show jumper" Chloe said, as she remembered selling Lightning to a winning show home.

"I promised his owner only I would ride him right now. One of his trainers has a broken wrist because of him. He was supposed to be a calm lesson horse. But he suddenly changed," Austin announced. "It's an insurance issue," Austin added.

Chloe sighed slightly as she sat down. "I don't have a single client ever since they found out about Taffy" Chloe said. "word gets out fast" she put her hand on her chin and sighed again. "this is how I loose my job" she admitted

"Chloe, even if you can't train anymore, we still have the beef business and the horse breeding business to fall back on," Austin pointed out. "Demons, even Aidan and my jobs as pilots. We are fine. You next job is to be a mother if you can't get any clients," Austin said as he stood up. He walked up behind Chloe, placing his hands on her shoulders. "We are okay."

"But...I love training horses" Chloe said, as she sighed again. "Its my favorite thing ever. Being able to watch them go around the round pen, and then figure out whats wrong" she said, with a sad smile. "But I know my job as Lia's mother comes first...I just wish I could train horses everyday like I used to when I was pregnant, and even before that" Chloe said. "but now it feels like I can't"

"Alright fine. But if Crow's owner asks, you were never near that horse. I am not going to loose our on this," Austin sighed. "Also, if you see him acting up, get out. No English saddles, either. He is only trained in western."

Chloe closed her eyes as she realized she had made a fool of herself. "forget it" She said, as she stood up and walked into the living room where Lia was playing. Chloe picked her up and put her in her lap, as she bounced her up and down. "you wanna go to the play ground today, huh Lia?" Chloe asked.

"Chloe? What is wrong?" Austin asked as he walked into the living room. "Alright, yes, I am nervous about you working with Crow. I do have another horse that does need help. Trigger. He has been shying at water the past few weeks. Maybe you can take a look at him," Austin announced as he grabbed Chloe's arm gently. "I am sorry if I did something wrong."

"its not you" Chloe said, as she held Lia. "Being a mom...is all I ever wanted, and you know I wouldn't change it for the world" Chloe said. "its just sometimes I wish I didn't have to rely on other people to look after her while I work with horses. Thats the hard part" She said. "I love being your wife, and I love being Lia's mom, just like I know how much you love being her dad, but just think about it, what if you couldn't fly because you had to take care of her 24/7?" Chloe asked. "its the same thing with me, I can't work with horses because I have to watch her and can't take my eyes off her" Chloe said with a slight sigh

His heart ached seeing her this way. "Molly, can you come in here and watch Lia for a little bit?" Austin asked as he looked at Chloe. He knew that she needed him. He placed his hand on Chloe's cheek and soon pulled her in for a kiss.

Molly walked into the living room and nodded. “Of course I can” she said. “I love hanging with my favorite mini cow girl” she said when Lia reached for her.
Chloe smiled when Austin kissed her. She hugged him tightly as he knew what she was feeling now. “I suppose I can work with trigger. I’ve got some ideas on how to deal with water shy horses” Chloe told him

"There is something I need to take care of first," Austin said as he waited for Molly to leave the room. He then picked up Chloe, wrapping her legs around his waist as he brought her upstairs. "I need to take care of you," Austin whispered into her ear and brought her to the bedroom where he locked the door. Even though he was tired, he felt that being along with her would make her forget about the stressors in her life. Laying down on the bed with him on top of her, he gently pulled her into a deep kiss.
