Chloe nodded. “Did they say how long I’ve been pregnant for?” Chloe asked. The nurse actually nodded. “Yes.” She said. “Mrs. Woods, you have been pregnant for about 3-4 weeks” she said. Chloe’s eyes widened. “What?” Chloe exclaimed. The nurse nodded. “If you wish, we can tell you the gender of your baby” she said. Chloe felt her heart drop. “So…as I’m 3-4 weeks…does that mean I could’ve hurt my baby?” She asked. The nurse nodded. “Yes, but you are both doing fine” she promised. Chloe looked over at Austin. “But…that’s….how is that possible?” She asked. “Your husband mentioned you had a miscarriage, that was about a month and a half ago, so yes, you’re 3-4 weeks pregnant” the nurse said.

Austin gulped. Did he want to know? Or did he want to be surprised? He didn't care if it was another girl. As long as it was happy and healthy. He looked at Chloe. "Well, what do you want? Do you want to know right away? Or do you want to be surprised?"

“I…I don’t know” Chloe admitted. “If it’s a girl…then we’ll be fine with all the clothes we have….but if it’s a boy….we need to buy boy clothes.” Chloe said, as she looked at Austin. “D….do we need to buy boys clothes or no?” She asked. The nurse looked at her and then at Austin. “You say you have a baby girl at home, yes?” Chloe nodded. “Then…you need to buy boy clothes” she said. Chloe looked at Austin, and she smiled. “We’re having a son” Chloe smiled.

A son?! Then that would mean that he would continue the tradition of giving the ranch to the first born son when it was time to pass it down. A smile came to Austin's face. He could not wait until he could tell his grandparents. This boy would even carry on the Woods name.

Chloe felt a tear roll down her face, and once the nurse left, Chloe turned away from Austin. A son that her father would never get a chance to meet…just like he never got a chance to meet Lia. Chloe put her hand on her stomach, and sat there for a few moments before she turned back to Austin. “I wanted to have a son” she admitted. “So…so you could carry on the tradition of passing this ranch down” Chloe said. “But this boy…he’s not the first born…he’s just the first born son.” Chloe looked down and then back at Austin. “After he’s born….I domt think I want to have any more children, don’t you think two is enough?” Chloe asked.

"It's perfect. I only wanted a couple of kids of my own," Austin said as he looked at Chloe. "Just know that I will always love you no matter what," Austin added. He leaned down to kiss her when an idea came to his mind. "What if we name him after your father?"

Chloe’s eyes lit up. “A-are you sure?” She asked, as she looked at him. “That would mean a lot to me” Chloe said, as she smiled. “What if…we named him after my father, and his middle name after yours?” Chloe suggested, as she felt a light flutter in her stomach. She smiled before looking down at Austin. “I love you with my whole heart” Chloe added, as she kissed Austin deeply for a while.

"Of course. We already named Lia after your grandmother. So, I think that it is perfect that we use my father's middle name," Austin said before she kissed him,. He gently climbed into bed with her after placing his hat on the table next to the bed. Wrapping his arms around her, he lays her head on his shoulder. "I love you, too baby," Austin whispered.

Chloe almost looked at Austin, and said do you? But she didn’t. She looked at Austin, and she smiled. “Are you absolutely sure we can name him after my father?” Chloe asked. “I know you probably wanted to name our next baby after one of your parents” she said, looking down and then back up at Austin

"Lauren already named Levi after my father. We can use his middle name if Wyatt as his middle name," Austin agreed as he looked at Chloe. He smiled as he closed his eyes, glad that she was safe.

“I like that” Chloe said with a smile. “Jack Wyatt Woods” she said with a smile. “I really like that” she yawned and lay her head down on the pillow as she slowly fell asleep.

Austin woke up the next morning feeling well rested after not sleeping well the night before. He had his arms around Chloe, which felt amazing.

Chloe hated hospitals with a burning passion, but having Austin beside her…well that made everything better. She slept a while longer than Austin, and when she woke up, he wasn’t beside her. As she knew he would come back, Chloe rolled over and looked at the screen that was tracking Jacks little heart beat. It was still going strong. Chloe smiled. “Our little miracle baby” Chloe whispered to herself

Getting coffee, Austin looked at his reflection in the coffee machine. He was not even sure that he could look at himself after what he had done just a few days ago. Did Chloe really forgive him? Did she want to be with the man who cheated on her? He looked away as he threw his coffee in the trash, suddenly not having the appetite to drink it as he slid down the wall. He was a fool for what he had done with Emily. And then finding out that Chloe was pregnant again really pulled at his strings. He didn't know how to feel anymore.

Chloe closed her eyes once more and she thought about everything that had happened the last few days. Austin had cheated on her...Chloe was pregnant again...with a boy this time, and Austin was no where to be found. Sometimes Chloe wondered if being with Austin was what she wanted after he had cheated on her. She shook her head slightly. "of course I want to be with him...and I know Lia loves her daddy, but how can I trust him right now?" Chloe asked herself, as she didn't hear Austin walking towards her room.
