"Me?" Winter asked, looking at her mate. "How did I teach you?" She asked. "The only thing I did was talk to you at first, and then you really did everything else from there" She said, licking his muzzle. "I was just by your side, like I will always be" She promised lovingly.

Griffin was bouncing with excitement. "I've wanted to tell you how I felt for ages now" he said

Skylar looked at her, love plain in his soft gaze, “that is just it, you’ve always been there for me. I found that I didn’t have to do everything myself or hold back my feelings. You are always ready to help me with a problem or hear me out on my thoughts and ideas, no matter what. My father taught us to be independent and figure things out on my own. But with you, we can lean on each other and help each other. Winter, I just love you so much,” he said suddenly putting his head over her neck in a hug.

“I did too,” Hadassa confessed with excitement, giving him a playful buffet with her paw, “now we have to get ourselves a den,” she said thoughtfully.

Winter smiled and licked her mate lovingly all over. "Oh Skylar" She said. "I'm always here for you, you know that" She said, her eyes gleaming with love. "I always always always try to help you, no matter the situation....when I can" She added as she indicated their four sleeping pups. Then, she looked back at her mate. "We really need to talk about the wolves finding us" Winter decided. "We really haven't yet and if we're going to keep our pups safe from them...then we need to figure something out." Winter said.

"Really?" Griffin asked, eyes wide with shock

''Thank you Winter,'' Skyler said with love overflowing into his voice, ''I dont know what I did to deserve you, you mean the world to me.'' His face grew serious again, ''you are right, we do,'' he thought a moment, ''the best we can do is speak with the Alpha,'' he said shaking his head.

Hadassa nodded rather shyly, ''yes, I have.''

“I know” Winter whispered. “But we don’t know where they live so how are we going to find them?” She asked as she suddenly began trembling. “Skylar…I’m scared.” Winter whispered.

Griffins smile grew. “Oh Hadassa!” He said

''Your right,'' Skylar said slowly, ''I suppose we have no choice but to wait for them to come to us...'' He noticed Winter's fearful eyes and shaking body, ''Oh Winter,'' he said full of concern, ''please dont be, I'll protect you, I swore long ago that I would. Nothing will happen to you if I have anything to say,'' he said firmly, he gently started grooming her pelt.

Hadassa flashed a smile back, ''so, where are we going to live now? I suppose we get to have our own den.''

“Thanks” Winter said with a bright smile. “But I just hope the alpha isn’t mean….he won’t be if he has a mate and pups of his own I hope.” She said.

Griffin thought for a second. “We’ll have to talk to omega about that” he said to her

“Me too,” he answered, “but we can’t expect him to be, he does have an entire pack to look after after all. True, most alphas would have a mate… maybe he’ll be softer to us with that in mind, but let’s no hold our breaths,” he said.

Hadassa nodded, “should we go now,” she asked tail shifting eagerly.

Winter nodded. “Do you think he has a mate?” She asked. “I….im kind of hoping he does as…well he won’t try to kill us” Winter said pressing her muzzle against her mate. “I just…” she sighed. “I don’t know.” She mumbled.

Griffin nodded. “Yes! Let’s!” He said

“I don’t know, alphas generally do…” He nuzzled his mate back, “I know this is hard for you,” he said laying his head on her’s, “especially since you are still nursing pups. I’m sorry you have to go through all of this.”

Hadassa grinned and scampered beside Griffin as if she were a young pup. They found the Omega soon enough, he was cleaning up around camp. As soon as he saw the two wolves approaching he immediately flattened himself to the ground and averted his eyes, awaiting orders.

Winter nuzzled Skylar. “If we meet with the alpha, will you do the talking?” She asked hopefully.

Griffin nuzzled Hadassa. “Dusk. I was hoping you could find a den for me and Hadassa as we have just become mates” Griffin said.

Skylar nuzzled her back, ''of course I will, Winter,'' he said gently. He looked at her, ''you doing alright?'' he asked quietly.

Dusk's ears perked up, ''congratulations to you both,'' he said with a smile. Hadassa smiled and nuzzled her new mate back. ''I believe I have just the place in mind,'' Dusk said after some thought, ''follow me,'' with that he trotted into the forest.

Winter shrugged. “I don’t know. I guess?” Winter shrugged. “It’s just…..I never thought that we’d be in a position where our entire family was threatened with our lives” winter said. “What if…..oh Skylar, what if we can’t talk to the alpha….what if….he kills us?” Winter asks.

Griffin smiled. “Thank you Dusk!” He said

''That...'' he paused a moment, ''that cant happen, I know it wont. Everything will be alright... I know it,'' he said moving in closer to his mate. ''Things like this are to be expected to happen in life, we just have to buckle down and wait out the storm. Everything will come out alright in the end... I know it will,'' Skylar said with conviction, though there was the look of slight worry in his dark eyes.

Dusk smiled back. After passing through a cluster of gooseberry bushes he stepped aside revealing a cozy roomy den nestled very close to a small stream, ''what do you both think,'' Dusk asked. Hadassa smiled, ''Oh Griffin... what do you say?''

Winter smiled “ok” she said, pressing her muzzle against her mate as she heard paw steps. Winter stiffed as two wolves poked their heads in. “Ugh, you’re still here?” Nova growled as she looked at Everest. “Come on” Nova said as she nudged Everest. “We need to tell the alpha.” Nova said to Everest. Winter looked at her mate. “They’re telling the alpha” she whispered.

Later that evening, Storm had Hercules watch his pups as he and Etain headed out to find the two interludes. “Alright, stay behind me. I don’t want you getting hurt” Storm said. “You’re still nursing pups” He added, licking his mates nose. “I found the scent of Nova from earlier, we can follow it” he added,
