ok as our chararachters are almost done i think it's time to figure out a few things for the rp.
why do they dislike eachother
what is the quest(s)
what is the wording of the prophecy

Ideas for why they dislike each other:
- Conflicting personalities
- Paired together in a competitive camp competition/activity, that goes terribly wrong
- My character accidentally or intentionally attacks yours with electrokinesis
- You character could use my character's father as a way to antagonize him, knowing the type of father that Zeus is.
Possible ideas for a quest:
- A different interpretation, with different challenges, for the Hero's Quest
- Maybe Cronus gets out and wreaks havoc, and they have to stop him
- Maybe a fight amongst the Greek Gods and Goddesses, causes all of their legendary weapons to be scattered around the world, and they are tasked to find them.
- Maybe their fathers are butting heads, which could cause a cataclysmic disaster, and they have to work together to settle it.
Don't have any ideas for the words for the prophecy.

they're pretty similar personality wise, but that could have/and can still cause issues.
i feel like all the reasons mixed together could be a reason for them to strongly dislike eachother.
i like the 3rd one, and we could combine that one and the 4th. an ongoing fight between the gods, mainly zeus and hades and the people on their side.
i can see if i can make the prophecy

i can't really word a prophecy but i made some lines. i like the first and second one. but not totally sure of the third and i need more words on the 4th one
lightning and death will save or destroy
betrayal and lies will scatter your task
find the items that are lost
trust and teamwork

Maybe part of the prophecy could be: Son of lightning and daughter of death. Unless we don't want it to be obvious from the start, just who the prophecy is addressing. Do we want it to be clear and obvious, who is taking the journey, or do we want there to be time to discover, that Sage and Grayson are the ones who must undergo this task?

i feel like it needs to be obvious, if not they probably wouldn't go together. I'll just change it to son of lightning and child of death. just to make it fit sage's gender identity.

Alright, that will work. I'm not always best on terminology for things like this. We could have them have some sort of dream, or the gods and goddesses could come to the camp, and select the two of them for the task.

that could eliminate any need for a written prophecy. we could say it would be a dream and it could include places they would end up being and then end with seeing the other person in their dream. also having chiron be told that they had to do the quest, to actually have someone help them over the hardest part, actually getting them on the quest.

How do we want our characters to meet? They've both been there for three years. Would their age difference be what kept them from meeting before??

I would say if they dislike each other they have to had met before. And also with all the reasons we've given for them to dislike each other they had.
Sage probably also tried to talk to him when they were new at camp. Due to who their parents are.

Sounds good. Is there anything else that needs to be done? I can look for a list of important things for every major Greek God and Goddess, so that we can determine where they end up. The more spread out they are, the further they'll have to travel. Maybe you could create the thread, and maybe put up a world map, that way we have a visual reference for their travel path?

This is the folder, where all of the main rp threads go. Usually, there is a huge blank box, sort of right above where the rp actually starts. You can look at other people's rps to see what I mean, since it's tricky to explain. You can probably b=paste images of the map, and we can decide where we want the symbols to be spread. horserealityrpgs.proboards.com/board/4/rpgsBecause the original book had Zeus' lighting bolt stolen, maybe we should have a different symbol stolen from him this time. |
