Tvar walked towards Lwazi moving with stiffness because of his age, "I'm getting too old for chasing intruders off" Tvar said to Ato as he woke up, they both started to head towards Lwazi and he could see that Ato was watching this intruder carefully as Zuri was his daughter, he didn't want any harm to come to her or Lwazi, "Relax Ato I know him he is my brother" Lwazi said trying to convince Ato that Zuri would never be harmed as long as she was there to protect her daughter, Tvar knew soon he would leave the pride but the day was not yet to come for him to leave as that was in a few days among the next wet season.

Lwazi greeted her brother drinking in his warm familiar scent, it had been seasons since she last saw him his creamy golden fur seemed to shine along with various scars some as old as he was a cub, he then looked at Zuri "Your cub is beautiful sister I wish I could stay longer but I only came by to see you I am leaving this place I used to call home by tomorrow" her brother said as he rose to his paws and started to walk off, "follow the stars my brother for they will guide your paws" Lwazi said as she watched her brother disappear into the African wilds, she had really wished he had stayed longer but he was a nomad they hardly ever stayed long with a pride.

Kalia looked at Lwazi she seemed worried about the male lion that had visited her perhaps it was her brother she thought as she came over towards Lwazi, "Aza is leading one final hunt you better be ready Lwazi as you could make huntress chief" Kalia said as she sat down cleaning her paw pads getting rid of the debris that clung to her paw pads, she knew there wasn't a chance she would even be considered as she was young and inexperienced when it came to hunting, but Lwazi would be a great choice besides her older sister Kyri she was smart and knew a lot about the prey they hunted and where the danger spots were but so did Kyri, it would be a tough choice for Aza to make one which Kalia didn't envy.

Tvar watched Ato the older male seemed bothered by Lwazi's brother although he didn't say anything Tvar could read his thoughts he didn't trust Lwazi's brother there was something odd about the visit, Tvar shook his head and mane he could feel the heat of the African sun beaming down on him which brought irritating flies that buzzed around his face, "Let's go eat Ato I am starving and besides tonight is special Aza is leading her final hunt as cheiftess" Tvar said as he walked over to where the food was and then waited for Ato to join him at the kill, his tail flicked as he waited for Ato he didn't like waiting long as it made his body ache a lot.

Lwazi would join the other lionesses her paws ready for the chase as were her other senses "I am going to miss Aza she was a great huntess cheif I only hope her replacement is just as good" said Kyri the other experianced lioness, she nodded her head in agreement "I am sure Aza will make the right descion she knows us better then any other lioness even Suvala" Lwazi said as she waited for Aza to give her last roar ever in the Ancient roar pride as hunting cheiftess, they didn't have to wait long as Aza was very ready although Lwazi could sense that Aza was going to miss them she knew it was better for the pride if she left it behind in capable paws she let out one last roar that seemed to echo across the plains themselves.

Kalia could not wait to go hunting her paws were itching to get out and leap onto some unsuspecting prey, she then turned her head to see Kyri and Lwazi they seemed deep in conversation so she moved away from them letting them talk, she was focused on Aza waiting for her to tell them which direction to head for a ambush they were setting up on a herd of gazelles, she knew she wasn't as fast as Kyri but she could leap pretty high much higher then any other lioness in the pride she knew her skills would be needed for now and for the future of the Ancient roar pride, she could hear Aza let out a soft roar "Hey are you even listening to me Lwazi and Kyri I am talking about our plan to ambush the herd of gazelles" Aza said with a flick of her tail.

Tvar would wait for Ato although his tail flicked with impatience he looked up to finally see Ato coming towards the kill, his jaws ripped into some leftover meat which he shared with Ato, they started to talk about the time soon coming when they both would leave the pride that had become there home, he would wince in pain as his injuried leg bumped against a rock as he hunched over to eat "You okay Tvar" Ato said looking over at him he shook his head and mane, "Yeah I just hit my leg against the rock" Tvar said back before going back to eating the leftover meat scraps of the zebra.

Lwazi would look at Aza "Sorry hunting cheiftess I got distracted talking to Kyri were all unsure how to approuch the situation of you leaving" Lwazi said as she gave a flick of her tail, "I understand your concern Lwazi and Kyri but this needs to happen for the good of the pride" Aza said as she explained there parts in the ambush with Kyri being a runner she would startle the gazelle herd and Lwazi would drive them towards Kalia and Aza who would cut off there escape route, Lwazi was ready and so were the other lionesses who were taking part in the ambush on the gazelle herd, she waited patiently for Kyri to drive them towards her where she would then drive them towards Kalia and Aza who would be waiting in the brush.

Kalia would wait patiently for Lwazi she was completly still not daring to move a muscle until she saw Lwazi running towards her with the gazelle in front of her, she looked over at where Aza was hidden they were in a deep field of tall grass that completly obsecured there prey's view of them, she could hear the sounds of running paws and was suprised to see a young male, he seemed curious about why two lionesses were hidden among the grass but then walked away not daring to join there hunt, she looked at Aza before hearing some fast moving paw steps that sounded like Lwazi's, they got into position rather quickly and cut off the gazelle herd's path, she leaped high landing on a female gazelle her jaws making quick work of her kill she looked at Aza who had also managed to catch a gazelle there pride would be eating good tonight.

Tvar and Ato would drag the zebra remains outside of there territory for the vultures to finish off but then a strange scent caught there noses one they have never smelled in a long time, "What is that smell..no it can't be it's heading right for the pride's territory" Tvar said as he saw smoke and orange flames leaping across the plains of Africa, "We need to get everyone away from the flames" Ato roared as he ran over to get Zuri who was still asleep and completly unaware of the danger that was fast approuching them, Tvar would run towards Suvala and gently help get her to her paws they needed to flee the flames that were chasing them.
