Maddie
Maddie would look at her mom she was spending a lot of time in Alcor's stall, "Mom is something wrong with Alcor this is the fiffth time you have come to visit her maybe Ari should look at her" Maddie said, her mom Esma shook her head "Alcor is fine I just am worried about her emotional state that accident at the gate still scares her, she seems fine in the stall but when Circe bangs on the stall wall that spooks her" Esma said to Maddie she nodded her head, "I'm working on that with Circe she had a long bad road with her former owner remeber how long it took us to trust us enough to enter a stall" Maddie said as she petted Alcor's neck, her mother paused thinking about it "Yes I know that Circe was in such bad shape we weren't even sure she would survive how dare someone just leave her in a field to fend for herself with no water and little grass to graze on for weeks" said Esma as she grabbed a brush and started to work on Alcor's mane and tail, she then left Esma to groom Alcor and went to check on Circe, "Hey girl how are you" she spoke softly to the mare as she entered Circe's stall she started to groom the clinic horse speaking in a soft tone to her as she calmy checked each of her hooves for stones or anything else that could be trapped, satisfied that Circe looked good she put on Circe's halter and lead rope and lead her to a pasture, she then greeted Chess "Hey fella I see Colby is taking good care of you" she spoke softly to the gelding as she turned Circe out into the pasture, she stayed to watch Circe gallop circles around Chess daring him to join her in a game of chase it made her happy to see the change in Circe, she had worked hard with the mare it hadn't been a easy road as Circe had been severly under socialized, probaly was a reject broodmare as was the case unfortunatly with so many mares that came to this place most of them were just tossed aside because they couldn't be sold because of behavior or personality issues from being isolated from other horses for so long.
Note about Alcor: Her racing name had been Royal Angel and she had been ridden by Esma at the time of the accident, when a accident in the gate happened where the mare (who was already agitatied) in the gate stall nearby Alcor had tried to bite her through the gate bars, she had then rammed the gate knocking her jockey off in a attempt to get at Alcor, that had spooked Alcor badly and she had reared in the gate knocking Esma off of her as her one rear leg struck the gate (breaking it) in her desprate attempt to escape the agressive mare both racehorses were scratched from the race before it began, that had ended Alcor's racing career as she was deemed unfit to race anymore, rather then let Alcor be sold to a stranger the owner of the stable gave Alcor to Esma telling her she was now hers to keep, Esma nursed Alcor back to health and retrained her for ranch work " She was beautiful when it came to working with cows and would often try to outrun them" Esma had said in a local newspaper when people had found about a former race horse being trained in a discipline many thought wasn't suitable for a throughbred.

Caitlin
Caitlin pulled up to the barn at Chasing Dawn Ranch. She pulled to a stop and got out of her car, opening the back door so her golden retriever, Lucky could hop out after her. Caitlin walked to the back of the trailer and she pulled the door open. "Hi Rose" she said, untying her lead rope and leading her down the ramp. Caitlin gazed around and found the barn. She headed toward it and when she got inside she found a stall that had Rose's name on it. "This must be your stall" Caitlin said, taking off Rose's halter and putting her inside the stall. Then, she closed the door and threw her a bat of hay before she headed back to the trailer to get her tack things and brushes, along with winter blankets for Rose. She headed back to the barn and found the tack room. Then, she found her name and started to set up her stuff. She kissed Rose on the nose before she got back into her truck and drove to the guest house. When she got there, Caitlin got out of the car and grabbed her bags, whistling for Lucky to follow her. When she got there, she gazed around. Wondering which room would be hers. She couldn't see anyone in the guest house, so she decided to do what she thought was best. "Hello?" She called, gazing around some more before she set her stuff down and decided to explore the house some more.

It was early afternoon as Sorya was driving down the road towards the address she had been given a few days prior to her drive from Elk City, Oklahoma all the way to the foothills of Alberta, Canada. Luckily she had her GPS telling her where to go since she was not from the area. As she drove, she was singing along to Brooks and Dunn's My Maria as she drove. "Her Daddy gave her, her first pony Then taught her to ride She climbed high in that saddle Fell I don't know how many times He taught her a lesson that she learned Maybe a little too well
Cowgirls don't cry
Ride, baby, ride
Lessons in life are going to show you in time
Soon enough your going to know why
It's going to hurt every now and then
If you fall get back on again
Cowgirls don't cry," Sorya sang as she drove through the plains that reminded her somewhat of home. Her parents thought she had an amazing voice and thought that she could maybe one day become a country music star if she wanted to. She would often blush when people mentioned her voice when she sang. She was not embarrassed to sing in public as she sang when she could for events back home. Looking in the rear view mirror of her 2023 Dodge Ram 3500, she checked on the gooseneck trailer behind her before her eyes went back to the road ahead of her. Her Friesian and dun paint mares were in the trailer behind her. During the 23 and a half hour drive, Sorya had stayed at truck or rest stops as it saved her money instead of staying in a hotel with the living quarters attached to the trailer. She was kind of tired from her long drive and could not wait until she arrived at Chasing Dawn Ranch. She was only about a mile or two away from the ranch. When she finally found the driveway, she pulled carefully into the driveway. It was only a few minutes later that she pulled up the barn. Luckily, Midnight and Grace had been quarantined before the trip for 30 days at a holding facility at the airport in Oklahoma City before she picked them up for the drive. It was a long 30 days, but she was glad to finally be reunited with her horses. Sorya stopped the truck and got out of her truck. This place reminded her so much of the ranch she grew up on in Elk City called Lonestar Ranch. With the side ramp put down, Sorya was met by her Friesian mare, Midnight's Wildfire. She nickered the moment she saw Sorya. "Oh, I am so glad that we are finally here. I was getting kind of exhausted driving here," Sorya said as she untied Midnight from the trailer tie and led her down the ramp and into the barn. It took a few minutes to find her stall, but once she did, she made sure that Midnight was set. She placed the halter and lead rope on the halter hook on the stall and went to go get Grace. Grace was a different story than Midnight. She was a rescue horse that Sorya had worked with and trained after Grace had been abused by her past owner. She did not entirely trust humans at the time. So, Sorya had a hard time working with her. It took her 3 months to even be able to touch Grace for the first time. And a year to be able to ride her. Grace was still a bit uneasy in new places and new people. But she was improving. As soon as she placed Grace in her stall next to Midnight, Grace started to pace the stall as she was not used to this new place. It would take a few days to get used to the new sights and sounds. After she was done with her horses, she headed out to the trailer to grab her western saddles and a jumping saddle. She mainly rode western. But with Grace, the mare loved to jump. So, Sorya had learned how to jump for both show jumping and cross country. Though, she also did use Grace for western trail riding. She placed her saddles in the tack room and then placed her things into a locker with her name on it. She was nervous about meeting the people she would be living with. But she knew that this would be a fun opportunity. Once her trailer was placed with the other horse trailers, she headed up to the guest house where she would be staying.

It was early afternoon as Austin was returning to the barn as he had just finished taking care of a few broken fences on the ranch. He was riding his blue roan stallion, Twister AKA Accept the Blue. As he walked through the barn, he noticed that there were a few more horses than he had remembered from that morning as he walked through the barn. He then put Twister into the cross ties so that he could unsaddle the stallion and put all of his tack in the tack room, then placed Twister in his stall. He made his way outside as he saw two vehicles up at the guest house. He figured that those were the new employees of the ranch he had been told about. He was not sure whether he should head up to the guesthouse to make sure that everyone was settled in properly. No one had yet greeted them most likely. So, he headed up towards the guesthouse in his truck.

William shuts off the engine to his truck, glancing through the rear-view mirror, at the sleek, silver horse trailer, that he was pulling behind him. It had been a rather long drive, but Aurora seemed to have handled it well. He had been working hard for the past few months, to get his horse used to the horse trailer, especially for long distances. He knew that this place was known to have both western and English riders, and he wondered which riders he would see. Aurora was a tough, yet soft mannered horse, that he was using for showjumping and cross country. So far, she was making excellent progress, but now it was time for dressage. Normally, he wasn't the type to entertain that, but he knew that it was an excellent discipline, since it helped encourage the horse to listen to the rider, with as subtle hand and body cues as possible. Shutting off the engine, he steps out of the vehicle, shutting the door behind him. He could see other people, with different horses around, and he began to wonder, if perhaps he was the only English rider here. That would definitely be awkward, but he would make do. It wasn't just that he was riding here, since he had also gotten a job, as a vet assistant for Ari, whom he had already met.
Backing the sleek, jet-black mare out of the trailer, he gives her some time to do small circles around him, both at a relaxed walk and a bouncy trot. It was definitely important to get that energy out, especially since she had been cooped up. He would need to turn her out for a bit, get her some food and water, and then head over to the small barn, where he knew that Ari worked. It would be nice to socialize with the others, but he would be content, if this place was all business. Everyone had their own priorities. Shutting the door to the trailer, he leads his horse over to the barn, so that he could, both find her a stall, but also figure out where he could turn her out. From the way that she was prancing, her head held high, and her tail lashing from side to side....she needed to get a good run, before being brought in to relax, and rest.

Maddie would leave Chess and Circe to get to know one another right now she needed to welcome the new hires in the guest house, she would debate tacking up Halo or Ryder to ride there but instead, she decided to walk there it took her maybe fifteen minutes to get there but she didn't complain, the new employees were more important she calmly entered the guest house to welcome the new arrivals she would wait until they all were here before she would greet them, she remebered that soon the first horse would arrive for a training session a fiery roan gelding that used to be a bucking bronco until he had lost his ability to buck, this would be a big challange one that Maddie would defintly need help with as a bucking horse was very unpredictable and could be hard to read, it was like her working with Ryder he had been unpredictable too but that was mostly out of fear of being hit she had saved the gelding from being put down by a cruel owner who claimed he was to agressive to be around anyone that was until Maddie arrived and intervened.
Edited my former post so that it flows better also you're welcome for a bit of backstory on Ryder too

Sorya was just getting out of her truck when she saw another truck pull up to the guesthouse. She thought it was another person who was going to be staying in the guesthouse with her. She watched as a cowboy stepped out of the Ford F350. He was super cute with storm cloud blue eyes, short, well groomed brown hair, and tanned skin from hours of working in the son. He was wearing a black t-shirt with a pair of wranglers, a black cowboy hat and cowboy boots.
"Are you one of the new staff members around here?" Sorya asked as she looked at the cute cowboy. She almost blushed when she looked at him.
The cowboy smiled as he shook his head. "No, unfortunately not. I am just one of the ranch hands. My name is Austin Woods. And you are?"
"Sorya. Sorya Jones," Sorya introduced herself as she shook Austin's hand. Something about his hand in hers felt right. "I am the new riding instructor. I was wanting to a horse trainer...but the job was already taken when I applied. So, if you are a ranch hand, what are you doing here?"
"I just thought I would come up here to make sure everyone got here fine and to see if Maddie had come to greet you," Austin said.
"I just arrived up here, so I am not even sure if Maddie is up here," Sorya said.
