Aboard the Rum Cask

Eldor’s face got very red for a moment but since the weather was so cold it immediately cooled his temper and he was semi genial again, “can’t,” he responded, “I’m holding the egg,” he said with importance.

[Chloriosus]

Kastron scowled. "Give me the egg." He reached for the egg. "Give me."

“Alright alright here, my goodness haven’t you ever been taught manners!” He stepped onto the rope, “ok all I got to do is cross, simple,” he said to himself quietly.

[Chloriosus]

Kastron nodded, triumphantly taking the egg from Eldor and patting it gently with a smile before diverting his gaze back to Eldor. "Yep, real easy.", he said, but wether he was being sarcastic or serious is debatable.

Eldor took another tentative step towards the ship, then another. After an hour he was half way across.

[Chloriosus]

Kastron meanwhile had already taken a nap, coddled the egg, told it the swashbuckling story of his Great Aunt Morgenditch, jeered at Eldor, and taken another nap,, from which he had just awoken from. Stirring on the cold ice, he turned and squinted his eyes at Eldor who was tottering about. "Boy what are you doing? That's not a way how to cross! If you were forced to do this as an escape mission you would be captured, tried, found guilty, read to from the good book, fed the last meal, received a visit from a priest, executed, dead, and buried from being exceedingly numb of brain. Step a bit more lively, imagine a strange hybrid of Aunt, Pa, and Emmalinda after you along with muttonbutt's head."

At this Eldor's concentration broke and he threw caution to the winds as he VERY quickly ran all the way the ship in less than half a second, after catching his breath he yelled back at Kastron, ''YOU WERE SAYING?''

[Chloriosus]

Kastron through the egg into the air and huzzad, catching neatly again and crossing the rope quickly. "Thee hybrid doesn't exactly exist, but aunt is heading this way with the dragon in tow." He motioned towards the horizon. "Remind me to never let you cross first again."

Eldor folded his arms, ''I tried to tell you,'' he argued. He glanced up at the horizon, ''great galloping aunts she is coming back! Come on we got to hide this thing! Where did we decide on? Was it the rum room?''

[Chloriosus]

Kastron nodded frenziedly. "Yes yes it was the rum room. Oh man we better run." Aunt was flying in, fast, yalowing like a wild cross between a banshee and a screech bat mixed with elephant.

Eldor took the cue and ran down the steps to the hull, once they'd reached the rum room he searched about frantically for a siuitable place to hide the egg, ''consent your father have any secret compartments or something,'' he asked Kastron as he looked.

[Chloriosus]

Kastron nodded. "Yes he does. Give me a fathom..." Her rummaged amongst many kegs and barrels, moved many, and then moved some pieces of wood which led to another smaller rum filled room. "His secret stash. Everyone protects it.", he said proudly.

Eldor looked at him blankly, ''wouldn't that mean everyone knows about it,'' he asked with annoyance.

[Chloriosus]

"No, it in fact does not. The reason I say they all help guard it is because this room is guarded, since the crew don't like it so much when Father drinks all the time, seccondly, its guarded by father who doesn't like it when people go too far back into the rum room, and thirdly, because he was drunk when he made it so he doesn't even know its here."

''oh, then why didn't you say so,'' Eldor asked irritably as he started to clear a comfortable place for the egg.
