''No, your Aunt broke that, remember,'' Eldor pointed out, ''Hmm maybe we could take Gerenway's flat treasure trunk of junk, I'm sure he has no use for it.''

Kastron thought a while. “His trunk might do…. Yeah let’s get it.”

Eldor dropped the bed and led the way towards the sailor's quarters, he reached the trunk after making sure no one was around, ''what do you think is inside,'' he asked fingering the latch.

Kastron shrugged. “Probably some stupid little things from his wife or something. I hear her cooking is terrible, but not as bad as Aunts. No one has beaten her at it so far.”, he said, a little tinge of pride on his voice. “Just open it and spill it.”

Eldor flipped open the lid and heaved the thing over, ''whoa, look at all this stuff!''

Kastron fingered a lobster claw. “Ha! This will make amazing red paint!”

Eldor glanced at it dubiously, ''the things cooked out, it wont be any good for paint. But this-,'' Eldor lifted out a beautiful gold medallion, ''where do you think this beauty came from?''

Kastron observed the gold piece almost hungrily. "This,", he almost whispered," this is from Isla de las palmas. Very unoriginal name, I know, but the piece is very valuable. There are twenty seven of its kind, and ledgend has it, Ratherford the Cros shanker minted them all from the spoils he stole from some king or other. It is said he was a lunatic. He ran with the spoils and turned to piracy, and whenever he looted something hard or murdered one of the kings admirals, he took up a medalion and added an imprint on it. Whenever something happened and he was supposed to be dead but wasn't, he imprinted on a medallion. The amounts of times he was tried to be murdered are unknown. Each tells their own story. The one you have in hand, I believe it's the thirteenth. One day he was caught, and according to story when he was captured, by every stop they made at some port, he took one homing bird, like a dove or an albatross, and took them with him. He had a way with birds. Then on the day of his killin, he gave each the birds a coin, tied to them gently, and they carried all around the world, and some say beyond. Some say the coins bring good luck, some say they bring bad. That is probably why Gerenway is hiding it. It is also said, and I don't know too much about this, but it is also said that when one comes in contact with a medallion, it pulls you in, or makes you feel the urge to do something, depending on wether its a good or a bad one. The way to contour it is to find the medallion that comes AFTER it. The bad ones are odd numbers, the even ones are the good. Only the twenty seventh doesn't have a contour. If Gerenway is keeping this medallion, it could mean he is trying, or being made to do something, something that could potentially initiate our demise." Kastron had gotten so much into his story he seemed to be somehow hypnotized himself. "I see why people would want such a beautiful thing.", he said. "It looks ravishing. What do the patterns say? Is there the fourteenth?"

Eldor examined the coin closely, ''I can't tell what it says, I only know Geek and Laryton, this is probably some very old language, and no I don't see any other,'' he thought for a moment, ''how do you suppose he came by it?

Kastron's brow furled. "I'm not rightly sure.", he said thoughtfully. "Maybe he stole it from someone. Does it have any pictures on it?"

Eldor turned it over in his hands, ''ya theirs a picture of sea dragon eating a featherless chicken who also seems to be dancing a Russian Polka.''

Kastron looked at the image solemnly. "It must mean that he, the captain got turned into a polka and ate the russian chicken with a featherless dragon. By the way why can't you know what it says on there? I thought you could read!"

"I don't know, its not in any language I know either, but you said you can READ the words. So then do it."

“These aren’t words there just a bunch of scribbles,” Eldor said incredulously.
