Echorunner would tell her everything she knew "The kit had been abandoned by her mother and would have died had I not heard its cries of hunger it was found on our hunting patrol in the bushes" she meowed as she watched the kit suckling some of Maple leaf's milk, she then walked out of the nursery and saw some apprentices making fresh moss nests, she purred as she recalled her days as an apprentice almost tripping over a nest she had just made and an elder scolding her for being clumsy, "normally I wouldn't help apprentices but you two look like you need it" she meowed noticing the large bundles of moss they carried, she could see they were trying very hard to please the clan as the only two apprentices but she felt bad for them as it was a lot of work for two apprentices to carry alone, it would be a few moons before Maple leaf's kits were even ready to be made apprentices.

Mapleleaf
Mapleleaf let out a small gasp of shock. "Who would just leave their poor kit here?" She asked, as she licked the small bundle as it suckled. Mapleleaf purred and she watched with a mothers gaze, as the kit nursed. She was now this kits mother, and Foxpelt was now this kits father. They would be the only parents this kit knew of.
Cloverpaw looked up and bounced excitedly. "Really?" she asked. "You'll help us?" she asked. "We need to do the warriors den next...but theres a lot more nests to do in there...so" she broke off as she felt her brother nudge her.

Hail looked at Bark awaiting his answer but then he saw a wildcat that smelled like herbs coming in their direction, "I live here because I love catching fish and don't mind having wet paws" Bark meowed as he climbed down from a willow tree with the grace of a much younger cat, "who are you might I ask" Hail said unsure if the cat would hurt him he didn't fully trust wildcats, but his curiosity was slowly winning over his sense of caution and he dropped his hostility and gave a friendly flick of his tail, "I'm Hail just a rogue curious about groups of wildcats I want to help them get well" Hail said trying to make up for what he said before to this stranger.

"Interesting..." Morningpool thought and asked the two again, "Is everything alright here?" She said staying a little bristled and was weary of Rogues after a bad experience with one. She was a bit muffled with the herbs she was carrying in her mouth.

Willowbreeze
Willowbreeze pounced on the mouse she was hunting, killing it with a swift bite to the neck. It was a nice plump mouse, fat and defiantly juicy. Willowbreeze picked it up in her jaws and padded back to camp. When she pushed her way through the thorn tunnel, she padded inside and placed her prey on the fresh kill pile. Then, she turned and headed for the nursery. She poked her head inside, and saw Mapleleaf nursing her 3 kits and her adopted kit, Crowkit. "Mapleleaf" Willowbreeze meowed. Mapleleaf rose her head. "Hi Willowbreeze" Mapleleaf purred, flicking her tail to indicate Willowbreeze come inside. Willowbreeze padded into the den and nuzzled her friend. "I was just wondering if you wanted some prey" Willowbreeze asked. "Oh. I think I'm alright for now, thank you though" She purred softly. Willowbreeze nodded, turning and padding out of the den.

Morningpool walked around the rogues and made her way back to camp. Padding up to Willowbreeze perking her ears happy to see her clanmate, "Hi Willowbreeze, how are you?" She smiled lightly. "Oh, sorry I am all muddy from the hike to Mountainclan and back." Morningleap said with a purr, flicking her tail. "I heard you are deputy now!"

Willowbreeze let out a purr when Morningpool passed up. “I’m doing well, how are you?” She asked, then she looked around and padded closer to Morningpool. “I know Owlstar is sick” she whispered to her friend.

Morningpool flattened her ears. "Yes, its getting bad." She whispered back. "Ive been gathering other herbs from the other clans since the other clans just have herbs we dont." She said with an eyeroll.
"Anyways.." She said with a sigh, "He looks stable now but I hope he will be around for your Deputy ceremony when highmoon comes." She paused for a moment lost in thought and then smiled at Willowbreeze, " Well I am glad to see youre in the deputy spot. It suits you!"

Willowbreeze purred lightly. "thanks Morningpool" she meowed. "I just caught a fresh mouse, would you like it?" she asked, as she lead the medicine cat to the fresh kill pile. Then, she got serious. "Morningpool....as Owlstar is quite sick, can I come to you for help?" she asked

"Yes please." She picked up the mouse and placed it by her paws. "Yes, I will help in any way I can. I do think Owlstar should be in the loop even when he is unwell. But anything you need I'll help out" She purred lightly.

Willowbreeze purred. “Thank you” she said. “I may take a rabbit to Mapleleaf, she’s nursing an abandoned kit now, along with her three” she said with another purr.

"An abandoned kit?!" Morningpool perked her ears, shocked with the news. "I have been out longer than I have thought! Ill come with you" She said with a purr. "That reminds me now that youre Deptuy, There are rouges out there. I was alone and I didnt want to be confrontational so I just passed them. But maybe we can investigate more with that as well" She flicked her tail lightly at the thought that there could be potential danger.

Willowbreeze nodded as she picked up the rabbit and headed to the nursery with Morningpool. She padded inside and set down the rabbit. “I got you a rabbit, Mapleleaf” Willowbreeze meowed. Mapleleaf purred. “Aww thanks” she said. Willowbreeze padded out of the den so Morningpool could talk to Mapleleaf. “Hi Morningpool” Mapleleaf purred as she snuggled her kits closer to her with a swipe of her tail. “Could you look over my adopted kit, Crowkit?” She asked

Morningpool padded over to Crowkit, "Yes, Id love to make sure this little one is doing alright.." She purred lightly giving the kit a little smell. The scent was a little unusual but she just figured that she was outside for a little bit. She did smell some of the illness on her but just lightly on her fur. She looked at Crowkit seeing that she didnt seem too malnourished. "Looks like everything is alright, I think Echorunner found her at a good time, dosnt look like she has been alone for long." She said with a purr. "She does smell like the illness but I dont think she has it. Ill bring some herbs by just in case for you and the other kits." She smiled lightly.

Mapleleafs eyes widened. But she nodded, “alright” she purred. “Thanks” when Morningpool left the den, Mapleleaf put her head close to her kits. “Illness?” She questioned out loud. “Oh my sweet girls…please be ok” she whispered as her four kits slept soundly
