“You can stay here” Nala said, as she finished the rest of the antelope and through the bones out of her cave. “It’s raining, you’ll never be able to find your way back in this weather” she said.

“Oh I will, don’t worry about me. I’ll make it easily.”,she looked into the rain. “But if I am to go it must be soon, it’s darkening. Thank you for letting me in your home.” She smiled and started on her way.

Nala was about to decline, and tell her to stay, when she sighed. “Id you really want to go” she said. “You can. But you’re always welcome in my cave” Nala said with a smile.

Osaraka turned back, smiled and nodded, and then disappeared into the night, the shadows engulfing her like some strange mist. She ran a while through the rain, stopping to shake herself every few paces, trying to figure out where the creek was. She eventually found it, the spot she had thought was the one she had been at earlier. She really wasn’t quite so sure as it was very dark and raining. She settled down, under the shelter of the rock, then fell asleep.

Nala sighed, and she yawned. She stood up, stretched and then circled her bed before she lay down, and curled up, falling asleep. When she woke up the next morning, Nala stretched and yawned. She saw sun seeping through her cave entrance. She padded outside, and jumped on top of her cave. She stepped forward, and let out her morning roar. “Oh…shoot….Osaraka and I didn’t think of a place to meet this morning.” Nala said to herself, sitting down on her cave

Osarak woke up early the next morning, and stretched. The sun hadn’t come up yet, so she stalked around, and noticed that something was off. She wasn’t in the correct place. A wave of anger overcame her. How could she have been so stupid as to go to the wrong place. “You are a stupid, stupid tiger.”, she told herself reproachfully, then walked along the creek a while, until she noticed something that looked like a rock cave in the distance. She quickly ran up to it, only to realize it was a wrong cave, a cave where another lion lived in! This was bad, VERY bad, as they would easily discover her scent. Osaraka thought for a second on what to do. Part of her told her to go find Nala but another part of her reminded her that she was to keep Nala safe. She didn’t want any harm to come to her, and if she joined her now, the other lions would find out, and things would get very ugly for both. Odaraka turned and ran as far as she could, she didn’t know where, but she ran along the creek, where she stopped for a breath and thought about everything. If the other lions found out that she and Nala were friends, they would be angry, but if she didn’t go to Nala, Nala would think that she had betrayed her. Osaraka didn’t know what to do, so she climbed up a tree, thinking if there was any earthly way of somehow telling Nala that they were in danger.

Nala looked around, and sighed. She let out another roar. “OSARAKA!!!” She suddenly called, leaping off her cave. She scented the air, and found her scent from the night before. She followed after the scent, and ended up finding a stronger scent. She went racing after it, ears pricked forward. “OSARAKA!” Nala called again, letting out another…very….loud…ROAR.

Osaraka perked up, her ever listening ears picking up the sound of the roar she knew to be Nala’s. “No no no…”,she thought to herself. “This isn’t good.” She thought about what to do, run, or go to Nala. Finally, she decided on the latter, and raced towards the sound.

Nala looked around. But she still didn’t see her friend…when all of a sudden, a lioness stalked up to her. “NALA!” The lioness named Kiara growled. “Kiara…” Nala mumbled. “Why do I scent tiger” she growled angrily. Nala felt her ears flatten. “ANSWER ME!” Kiara growled.

Osaraka was still sprinting at top speed, when she noticed Nala and another lion in the distance. She slowly stepped up to them, staying in the shadows, trying to find out what was going on.

Kiara looked at Nala. “NALA!” She spat. “Who is this tiger!” She demanded. Nala stiffened. She had to lie. She could see Osaraka in the shadows. She flicked her tail behind her, as if to say, don’t move. “I…I…I don’t know” she lied. “LIER!” Kiara growled.

Osaraka smothered her desire to growl. The lion was onto them! She wanted to step in but noticed Nala motioning her not to, so she stayed very still, ready to spring the other lion at a moments notice.

“Does Simba know?” Kiara asked. Nala stiffened. “Yes.” She said. “Is he ok with it” she demanded. Nala nodded. “Yes. He’s ok with me being friends with the tiger” Nala said simply. Kiara sighed. “Fine. If Simba is ok with it, then….I am to. Only because you’re to lame to have any friends” Kiara growled before padding away. Nala felt her ears pin in sudden sadness.

Osarak noticed Nalas downcast mood, and walked up to her. “What did she say to you? Are you okay? Did she do anything…”, she looked at the retreating lion.

“She…she said…” Nala stopped, her heart pounding in fear. “She said I was to lame to have any friends” Nala whispered finally
