The Tournament of Blades (Private rp with Abbster)

"They'll probably call the match to a start in a moment." Gale says. "Ahh there they go" he says as the match was announced. Right on cue, both riders directed their horses to charge forward, lances at the ready as they advanced.

[Abbster]

Kennadee locked her eyes on Cass. "Come on Cass" Kennadee whispered to herself. Dang was she good. Kennadee was very impressed at everything going on in the arena. She had faith Cass would win, but of course, like always she wouldn't get her hopes up.

As she gets within striking distance, Cass knocks the other rider off their horse with her lance before they could get a jab in, ending the match swiftly. She slows Bayberry down and dismounts a moment later to help the other knight back up to their feet. It was supposed to all be in good spirit after all.

Kennadee clapped as the stands erupted in applause. She cheered loudly and clapped again. "What happens now?" Kennadee whispered to Gale. "Sorry, never seen a jousting tournament before" she admitted

"No need to apologize. We don't know what we don't know and asking questions is the best way to learn. Now the two competitors shake hands and exit the arena. The goal is to either break the other person's lance or unhorse them depending on the rules. In this case it was the latter." Gale says.

[Abbster]

"Wait, so did Cass win?" Kennadee asked, looking slightly confused at everything that had just happened. If Cass had won, then that was amazing, but Kennadee still exactly understand what was going on in the arena at the moment at all.

"Yes, she did. She knocked him off his horse, which in this case was the condition for winning." Gale says. He and Cass had been jousting from the time they were both fairly young, so he understood what he was watching quite well.

[Abbster]

"Well, good for her" Kennadee said, standing up and going to meet Cass outside the arena. When she got there, Kennadee smiled. "Congratulations!" She said. "That was absolutely incredible" Kennadee said. "You need to teach me how you did that" She said, with a smile. "You were brilliant Cass! I've never seen anything like it before" She said.

Cass chuckles slightly as she stows her lance in a scabbard on her back. "I'm sure I can show you at some point. It takes practice, but you'll get there" she says. She had Bayberry's reins in her other hand. She'd have to get him settled in his stall.

[Abbster]

"That would be amazing, Cass" Kennadee said with another bright smile. "You would really do that for me?" She asked her. No one had ever actually done that for her before. These people were her real friends. Wow. Kennadee had real friends.

"Certainly. That's how we all learn." Cass says. If she was willing to put in the effort needed to learn then Cass had no qualms with showing her the ropes of jousting. The concept was quite simple, but it did take skill and practice to learn.

Kennadee smiled. She finally had friends who understood her. She had never actually had that before. "Thank you" Kenandee said. "I think everything else I have may be tomorrow." Kennadee said, although of course she had absolutely no idea what she had tomorrow as her schedule hadn't come out yet.

"Gale has one more slot today, and then I think we're done for the day as well." Cass says. She wasn't sure if she had anything on the second day aside from supervising the juniors section of the tournament. Several squires were set to compete, but since they were just kids, they needed supervision.

[Abbster]

“Good.” Kennadee said. “Honestly, I’m quite tired. Of course I will stay for Gale, but I’m very tired.” Kennadee admitted. She knew she was very tired, but she wasn’t about to leave and not watch her friend for his slot.

"Shouldn't be much longer before you can turn in for the night. But you will want to get used to long days. Every knight has them, especially as you gain more renown." Cass says.
