The Tournament of Blades (Private rp with Abbster)

Kennadee nodded. She wouldn't get upset if she wasn't able to go, but she wanted to. She wanted to badly. "Thank you" Kennadee said, smiling a bit and then turning her attention back to the arena.

"No need to thank me." Gale says, turning his attention back to the arena. He could see Cass and the other knight coming out onto the arena now. Bayberry was walking calmly to the starting point as Cass had directed. The blood bay stallion's ears were relaxed. He didn't recognize the other knight or the dark bay stallion he rode.

Kennadee nodded. “Alright” she said. She knew that she had to believe Gale, but she still felt like thanking him anyway. “Do you think Cass will allow me to join you guys?” She asked.

"I'm sure she will. That's not what I have to talk to her about. I have to talk to her about whether or not we'll actually be leaving. This is the only home either of us have known." Gale says.

[Abbster]

“Ohh!” Kennadee said, nodding. “Ok. Yea, I get that” she said. “Although, I don’t usually ever stay in once place.” Kennadee admitted. “Growing up, my father was in the tournaments. So I moved around a lot.” She said. “I didn’t like it, but eventually, I just got used to it.”

"My family has always been here, so I grew up here." Gale says. He knew it wasn't his place to speak of Cass' childhood. That was something that he didn't have the right to reveal.

Kennadee smiled a little bit. "That's cool" She said. "Did you grow up watching these exact tournaments?" She asked him. If he had grown up watching these tournaments, that would be absolutely amazing

"I did from time to time. But they've certainly grown over the years." Gale says. He was fairly certain that Cass hadn't had the chance since unless one was competing, there was a fee to enter the stands and the orphanage wouldn't have given the kids any money to spend.

Kennadee nodded. "Huh" She said. "Who was the king at the time?" She asked him. She didn't think the king had been the same king it was now, but Kennadee didn't know as she hadn't grown up there.

Gale chuckles, quirking an eyebrow slightly. "Exactly how old do you think I am?" He asks, his tone amused. He and Cass were a bit older than Kenn, but not by all that much. At least not in the grand scheme of things. The current king had been reigning for some time now, including the majority of Gale and Cass' life. Though when they had been very little kids, there had been a different king. But that was before he had really been old enough to sit through entire tournaments.

Kennadee rolled her eyes. "Oh shut up" She said, shoving him lightly. "You know that isn't at all what I had meant." Kennadee said. "I just thought you may have known who the other king was, thats all" She said, laughing.

"Oh I know what you mean, but it was just too good of an opening not to take." Gale says, his tone amused. "I was just a toddler when the last king's reign ended, so I'm not actually sure exactly who he was" he adds.

[Abbster]

“Ah.” Kennadee said. “Well like I said, I didn’t grow up here, so I have no idea who the old king was.” She said laughing. “The jousting should start soon I assume.” Kennadee said.

"Most likely, it looks like they're getting lined up to begin now." Gale says. He could see Cass getting Bayberry lined up on one end of the arena and the unknown knight on the side getting his horse lined up as well.

"So it does" Kennadee said, with a smile. She wouldn't cheer to loud for Cass as she knew her friend was now focused. Although it was amazing to see her in her gear and Bayberry in his gear as well.
