"In a perfect world they would realize that we're not all brutes. But this is far from a perfect world. You just have to learn to roll with the punches. Sometimes you'll find someone who will treat you with due respect." Cass says, pausing to pick up her goblet from the side table beside the armchair. "Should be the only time. No tournament I've attended before has required that of the knights more than once. Barring any changes to the program, you should be free to eat where you'd like for the remainder of the tournament" she says. She'd probably either stop by the tavern in the morning for breakfast, or see about hunting and preparing her own breakfast. It was cheaper that way than paying the higher prices at the local tavern. With all the demand around a tournament, prices would rise and then fall again afterwards. It was to be expected. People were willing to pay more at times like this, so the tavern owners could raise the price alongside the demand.

Kennadee nodded. “Alright, well im going to head up to my room for bed.” She said. “Night” Kennadee said, as she grabbed her book and then headed up to her room. Kennadee opened the door, and then closed it. She pulled her covers back and climbed into her bed. She decided to read for a while longer before blowing out her candle light and slinking down into her bed and falling asleep.

"Night." Cassidy says. She and Gale would probably be down here in the common room for a bit longer before turning in for the night themselves. It wasn't too late yet, since supper had only ended a little while ago and it was quiet down here at the moment. The two of them seemed to be the last ones awake in the entire barracks. The peace and quiet was certainly nice. She leans back against the back of the armchair, her goblet still in hand. It was just water at the moment, since she had that tankard of ale earlier. It wouldn't do to drink overmuch. Especially since it seemed the king and queen already viewed them as brutes, no sense to add drunkards to their viewpoint. She'd probably finish off the goblet and then turn in herself for the night.

Isabelle was relaxing on her bed reading a book when she heard a knock on her door. “Come in” she said. “Hi Sweetie” Maria said. “Hi mother” Isabelle said. “I’m getting McKenna tucked into bed, just wanted to check in on you” she said, rubbing Oreo behind the ears as she was laying on Isabelle’s bed at the moment. “No, I’m ok. Thanks though” she said. Maria nodded. “Don’t stay up to late sweetheart” she said, kissing her head. “I won’t. I love you mother” Isabelle said. “Love you too, Izzy” Maria said before leaving the room and heading to McKennas room. Isabelle got more comfortable on her bed and continued her reading.

"Night Cass, I'll see you tomorrow morning." Gale says, rising to his feet from the armchair. Cass nods slightly. "Night" she says. She would be turning in herself fairly soon here. Tomorrow would be another busy day, as all days leading up to a tournament were. Organized chaos was probably the best way to describe everything that would lead up to a tournament. Knights would be training, the arena was being decorated, seating assignments being written out for all guests in attendance. And everyone would need adequate rest in order to keep up with all the preparation. She takes another sip from her goblet of water as Gale made his way upstairs to the floor where the rooms were located.

Isabelle looked up from her book as Charlotte came into her room. "Izzy, its late." She said. "You need to get to bed. I'm getting to bed soon, you should go to bed too" Charlotte said. Isabelle laughed but nodded. "Alright" She said, hugging her sister. "Love you, Charlotte" Isabelle said. "I love you too, little sis" Charlotte said, heading out of the room and back to her room. Isabelle got out of bed and pulled her covers back, then she blew out her candle and climbed in bed, snuggling down with Oreo and falling asleep quite fast.

Eventually, Cass rises from the armchair and begins to make her way upstairs. She unlocks the door to her room and steps inside, closing it behind herself. She was definitely relieved that unlike some barracks with a communal sleeping room with several beds along the wall, everyone had private rooms here. She greatly valued her own privacy. And goodness help the poor soul that tried to pry into that. She changes quickly for bed and slips under the covers, turning out the oil lamp and closing her eyes.

Kennadee woke up around 7 am the next morning. She stretched and then sat up. She got out of bed and put on some of her training clothes for the day. She brushed out her hair and then put it into a pony tail. When she was all ready, she left her room, closing the door behind her, and heading down to the common area. She was currently debating on weather or not she should make herself breakfast or just buy some.

Cass was kneeling beside the hearth in the common room, keeping an eye on the fresh meat she had roasting on a spit. She had been up before the sun to go hunting, and to purchase some eggs to put together some semblance of a breakfast. Gale sat in an armchair nearby, reading as she tended to the meal. He looks up when he spots Kennadee. "Morning" he says.

"Morning" Kennadee said. "I'm currently debating on weather or not I should buy myself food this morning, or just make it." She said to Gale as she continued thinking. She looked over at Cass. "What's she making?" She asked Gale. After she talked with the two other knights the night (lol) before, Kennadee was beginning to hope that they would become her friend. Of course it could just mean that they're being nice and making conversation with her, but still, Kennadee still hoped that they would all end up becoming friends.

"Roasted pheasant I believe, and eggs if I'm not mistaken." Gale says pausing. "Hey Cass?" He calls, getting her attention. "Hmm?" She responds, turning her gaze from the fire to Gale. "Think you got enough there to feed one more person?" Gale asks. "Probably" she replies. If nothing else, she could get by with a bit less. But there should be enough meat for an extra person.

Kennadee smiled a bit. "Thanks" She said to Gale. "Now I don't need to worry about weather or not I'm going to buy breakfast or make it" She said. "I'm going to go grab one of my books" Kennadee said. "I'll be back in a second" She said, standing up and walking up to her room, opening the door and then grabbing a book off her shelf before she headed back downstairs. Kennadee sat down on the other arm chair and opened her book.

"It's no trouble." Gale says. Of course, he wasn't really the one putting in the work for the meal, but he knew Cass would say the same. She was rough around the edges and could be quite prickly at times, but she wasn't cruel. She wouldn't turn someone away when they were hungry or in need of help in some other way. He knew her well enough to know that she had a good heart, no matter how much she might claim otherwise. She just, well he didn't fully know what her deal was. Just that she seemed to prefer to remain closed off.

Kennadee enjoyed reading. Usually before breakfast she would read if she was going to make it, and even if she bought breakfast she would read. She always got sucked into a good book as she read. She looked out the window and watched the sun as it was still rising over the horizon. It was always a beautiful site to see. She smiled and then looked back at her book to continue her reading. But by now, she had grown quite hungry. Of course she wasn't about to ask Cass when the food would be ready. She knew better than that. If someone was cooking or making a meal, Kennadee knew not to ask when or how long until the food was ready.

Once Cass was satisfied that the meat was throughly cooker, she removes the spit from over top the fire and sets it aside to cool a bit while she prepared the eggs. Thankfully, eggs didn't take long to cook and it was only a matter of time before she had the eggs cooked, the meat sliced and had everything plated. She sets one plate down in front of Kennadee and one in front of Gale before taking a seat with her own plate.
