Cassius raises one arm to knock on the door. Thankfully it was still in tact. Whomever had been guarding the door to the children's quarters had done well. "Coast is clear children, you can open the door" she calls out. The door opens just a crack a moment later to reveal Yenna. When she realized that it was indeed Cassius, Yenna opens the door further. "Is it really over?" Cirdan asks, peering out from behind her. "For now." Cassius says, pulling off one bloodied glove to tousel the child's hair.

Farjon smiled at the children as the door was opened and the timid youngsters peeked out as if expecting another ambush or an enemy to be at the door. "Are all of you all right in there?", he asked gently, bending down and picking up a young boy who looked about four years of age. He turned to look at Cirdan, whose leg seemed to be doing better, and gave him a chreeful smile. "I see your legs better, eh?", he asked in a much more cheerful tone than he felt inside.

"Everyone appears to be accounted for." Cassius says, running a hand through her hair as she studied each of the children in the room. She wraps an arm loosely around Yenna as the girl clung to her waist as she turns her mismatched gaze over to Cirdan. His ankle was bound well, though she knew his ankle would need time to heal properly. "Mr. John said I could walk as long I'm careful. He gave me more of that milk of the poppy. It really helps" he says.

"I'm sure it does!", affirmed Farjon with a smile, putting the little boy back down and standing up again. "It will heal quickly, take my word for it." He winked at Cirdan before turning to Cassius and Yenna. "What will become of them now?", he asked in a low voice.

"The guild will try to find adoptive families for them. Or at least people who will take them in until this place is in living condition again." Cassius says, rubbing her forehead absent-mindedly with her free hand. She knew that it would be hard on many of the children, but at this point it was probably the best decision that could be made for them. They wouldn't be safe here, at least not until the place could be fortified and repaired. But that was a job for adults, not children. At the very least they needed foster families to look out for them until they could return to the guildhall.

"I hope they do. In times such at these it is more often than naught very difficult to find good families that will be good parents and a pleasant enviroment for children.",Farjon noticed, smiling at the children again. It was important to keep them safe, but it was also important that whatever was left of the guild be saved, although he thought that perhaps it may be wiser to rebuild rather than repair. If the guild had come under the King's vision, it was hard to disappear from under it, especially in large numbers, and another raid like this would be severely devastating indeed.

"Unfortunately that's all too true. But everyone in the guild will do their best to find them homes, even if they are only temporary ones. I'd take some of them on myself. But I'm not fit to be anyone's mother, and the life I lead is far from safe for a child." Cassius says, reaching up with one hand to rub her forehead absent-mindedly. At this point she was thinking it was in the guild's best interest if she were to hit the road. Her presence put them in grave danger, and she cared deeply about these people. She might not show it often, but she did. And most people here realized that she wasn't as cold or indifferent as her exterior might suggest. Though hitting the road was no small task, and she was feeling a bit light headed at the moment. But there was still the night to rest... she could think on it more in the morning she mused.
