"And I'd be undoubtedly sentenced to death had you not decided to break me out. A bit of advice is the least I can do in return." Cassius says, glancing over at the door to her quarters opened up and a curious face poked in, one of the kids. Yenna, she recognized the little girl. She beckons her forward with one hand and then scoops her up to balance the child on one hip. The little girl immediately wraps her arms loosely around Cassius's neck to hold on. "Varies greatly... but quite a lot. Especially when he sets his sights on someone who has a lot of wealth or valuable possessions. As if the king doesn't have enough wealth to last him several lifetimes already" she says.

Ok, so mabye he does it for monetary gain, Farjon thought to himself. As the girl walked in he smiled as she ran up to Cassius with childish delight, and hugged her. He smiled at her kndly. "And what be your name?", he asked the girl. At the sight of her he remembered that he had promised Cirdan he would check up on him later, and he made a mental note to do that later.

"My name is Yenna, what's your name?" The little girl asks. She was definitely not shy, she hadn't been from the day she first arrived at the guild. Cassius wasn't sure what happened to her mother. According to the little girl, she had gone to go get some herbs to treat illness. The child had said that her mother told her she'd be back the same day. But she had never returned. Chances were she had perished, but how was unknown. But Yenna had adapted well to life in the guild. She had been here for about a year now, give or take a few days.

The corners of Farjon's mouth quirked up. He admired the little girls pluck and spirit, and was amused by her openness. "My name is Farjon.", he explained. "I came here yesterday with Ms. Cassius." He searched his pockets for something like candy, but found none. I have to remind myself to get some later, he told himself. Out of the corner of his eye he saw something approaching from down the road. Still very far off, yet just visible in the morning gray. He narrowed his eyes slightly as he gazed out the window. It was a group of people, he made out, all dressed the same, walking and some riding in an ordered fashion. "Someone's coming.", he noticed quietly, his smile clouding slightly.

"Someone's coming?" Cassius asks, making her way over to the window to take a look at what Farjon was seeing. Her pupils narrow slightly at the sight. Each of the individuals in the group wore matching attire, and some of them were on horseback. She could make out the glint of the sun on metal. They were armed. She glances over at Farjon as she draws the curtains shut. "An armed battalion from the looks of it... could be a fight if worse comes to worse" she says gravely. They needed to lock this place down and keep quiet in the hopes that the soldiers would think this place was abandoned and move on. She sets Yenna down. "Yenna, I need you to listen to me and listen well. Go with the other children and hide. Lock the door and don't open it for anyone. Do I make myself clear?" She asks. Her tone brooked no room for argument from the child. Yes Ms. Cassius, I will" she says. "Good girl, go now." Cassius says, nudging the little girl towards the door. Anyone who could fight would need to be armed and the children kept out of sight just in case.

Farjon stepped away from the window and pressed his lips together, contemplating the gravity of this unfortunate situation. Wether or not the battalion actually believed that they were hiding here he did not know, and something told him it wasn't a very good idea to go and ask them about it. However, at Cassius directions for Yenna to go and hide with the other children he assumed that there would very possibly be a fight. This bothered him because other than the knife he was keeping in his boot, he had no weapon. When the little girl left the room, he turned to Cassius. "where can I get a weapon?', he inquired determinedly, slightly peeking out the window at the ever approaching ground of men.

"The armory, we'd best head straight there and arm ourselves. Hopefully it won't come to a fight, but if it does we need all the blades we can get. Or a long bow if you'd prefer a ranged weapon." Cass says as she quickly pulls on a set of leather armor over her clothes. "We'd best get you armor to, just in case it comes down to it" she mutters as she opens the door to step out of her quarters. She had an extra set of armor in here, but she doubted it would fit him adequately. But they'd likely be able to find something that would. She wasn't exactly in the best shape to fight at the moment, but if it came down to it anyone who could fight would need to and she had fought with worse injuries. They had children here, some elderly individuals as well. They couldn't allow any harm to come to them.

"I agree,", Farjon said, glancing out the window one last time before beginning towards the door with quiet yet firm steps. He hoped it would not come to a fight, but in case it did they would do well to be prepared. Hopefully the others who were in hiding here already had spotted the group of soldiers. Multiple times had he keenly observed some knights or warriors training while he had still worked at the kings court, and he knew their combat and sword fighting skills were nothing to mess around with. He hadn't't really done any swordfigthing himself, but he had a keen memory and had remembered some of their strategies and stances that they seemed to use during a dueling or sparring session. However, you cannot really gain such knowledge solely from observing, and he knew that, yet he believed that although not being an outstanding fighter at the time, he could do more in battle than being a hinderance who stood in the way or died within the first few minutes.. "Although I must admit I've never done much with a sword before, I do believe I would be of some use at least. Hopefully they don't even find us out, but if they do it would probably come to a great fight.", he said solemnly, beginning to go out the door.

Cassius' eyebrows furrowed slightly as she opened up the door to the armory. "I see... well that doesn't bode terribly well against trained soldiers. Even experienced soldiers often die on the battlefield. But that being said... if it comes down to a fight, we could use every blade we can get. Experienced or not, even a single blade can mean the difference between victory and defeat" she says. All around the guild hall, people were locking doors, bringing down heavy wooden bars to latch doors shut and shuddering any windows. Everyone knew the drill at this point. Few of the rogues here had the formal training of a soldier, most were self taught. But a few of them, Cassius included were formerly knights or soldiers with formal training. But even those who were self taught had experience at least. Everyone had to start gaining experience somewhere though. It was better to start as a squire learning from an older knight rather than picking up a sword and launching straight into a real skirmish. But right now they didn't have that luxury. He would just need to do the best he could. The time for learning would come later.

Farjon looked about the armory at the swords, armor, longbows, crossbows, and other weaponry. He immediately began looking about for a sword. They all looked good, and many of them had a beautiful aged tinge to them, but he was looking for a specific one, namely, a double hilted one. He briskly looked up and down the many rows of swords. Finally he found one like the one he was looking for. It wasn’t the most intricately made or exotic one, but it was beautiful and had a clean, black blade that gave off a dull reflection. It had a maroon leather hilt and an obsidian arrow head at the edge of it. Farjon picked it up carefully, examining the blade and hilt, delicately probing the edge with his fingers, testing its sharpness. “I like this one.”, he said decidedly, hoping the his fighting skills would do it justice. He knew he hadn’t ever really fought, but in his opinion experience made the best teacher, as he had learned from his childhood when trying to escape out the bedroom window at night, and he was determined to give his best should it come to battle.

Cassius' mismatched gaze studies the blade for a moment before she nods in approval. "A wise choice, that is a fine blade. It should serve you well. You will want armor as well in the event that this turn into a battle" she says, sweeping her gaze over the room until it lands on an nearby armor stand that was decked out in leather armor. It was well used, sporting many repairs, but it was a good set nonetheless. It would do it's job effectively, even if it wasn't looking brand new. "Try that set over there, it should fit properly" she says. She returns her gaze over to the wall where the various weapons were mounted on the wall. She could see long bows, lances and even longswords. "I suppose this will have to do for now" she mutters to herself as she slides a simple looking longsword into the scabbard at her back. It wasn't her preferred weapon. She had always favored the larger great-swords over a longsword, but she could make do with this one as a loner until she could get a new great-sword like her old one. It would at least do the trick if this came down to a battle.

Farjon nodded, still scrutinizing the blade carefully as the dark metal gleamed in the dusky light of the flickering lanterns. His gaze fell upon the armor Cassius had indicated. "It did look about his size, and after finding the sheath to his newly attained sword, he walked over to it. His fingers felt the leather, it was already older and had a soft yet tingieing sharp scent about it. "I do believe it would fit", he confiremed, then looking around, he continued,"Is there anyone here responsible for the weapons whom we would need to ask before taking anything from here?"

"Ordinarily, we've got a logbook of all the weapons to check the communal supply in and out just so we can keep track of what we have. But in this situation you need not worry about it. This is an emergency. A census of weapons can be dealt with later, once the danger has passed." Cassius says as she checks the blade she kept hidden in her boot. At least the soldiers had missed that dagger when they took her in. Though it was no greatsword. Nor was the longsword at her back. But it would do for now, should it come down to a battle.

"That does make sense, speaking of which, the men are probably considerably closer now than the last time we set eyes upon them.", Farjon said with worry in his voice whilst taking the armor off the stand. He noticed with slight bemusement that Cassius also kept a knife in her boot. He still had the one he had sneaked from the kitchen the previous day, but all in all he was rather surprised that she had one as well. He quickly put on the armor, struggling slightly with some parts since this was his first time, yet rappidly getting the hang of it. To finish, he girded the sheathed sword around himself, he was ready to battle now, or at least as ready as he would ever be.

"Most likely... armed battalions like that tend to move quickly, especially when they have horses. Which it appeared that several of them did. They'll probably be knocking on our door at any time." Cassius says grimly. "Hopefully it won't come down to a fight, but best be prepared in the event that it does" she says, opening the armory door back up to step outside. Most of the guild members were self-taught in combat and lacked the formal training of a former knight or soldier. But they fought with more mettle than most nonetheless. "Carson, Blackwood, Beaumont" she calls out, spotting three men heading towards the armory. "Once your armed and ready, I need you to gather a few others and station yourself by the back entrance to the guildhall. We need to cover all entrances, catch them by surprise if they manage to break in" she says. The three men nod slightly, exchanging grim glances with one another before heading into the armory. Cass turns her gaze back over to Farjon. "You feeling ready for this?" She asks.
