As he walked up the stairs and made for the exit of the castle, Farjon passed a room where the door was open a crack, just enough to let out the sounds of a conversation. Farjon passed it, not even giving it a second thought, when he hear the all too familiar voice of the commander. “The verdict you are to pass tomorrow is, “guilty beyond shadow of doubt” Farjon froze at those words, and paced back aways to listen at the door. Sure enough, the commander was there, he wasn’t facing Farjon, but the voice was his, and the other man Farjon recognized to be the judge. His curiosity nagged him, and he pressed even closer to the wall to hear better. His conscience reproached him, and his felt ashamed of himself. What was going on in here was absolutely none of his business, and it was obvious that if two higher ups met at hours like this they preferred to keep their conversation secret. Farjon wasn’t even supposed to be here at the moment, yet there he was, and the other half of him wondered what was being said. The judge was answering now. “Does the his majesty have any specific requests as to the sentence?” The commander spoke up. “Immediate death by execution.” Farjon’s head threatened to spin. “She was right, he thought to himself. “Something is up here!” He had heard enough, he began back down the stairs and headed towards the kitchen. He was not going to let them kill innocents, not if he could help it. As he bypassed the kitchen, he grabbed a heavy pot from there, and began his descent down the stairs. His plan was to take out the guard by surprise attack, so that the others wouldn’t wake up and cause a racket. Wether this would work or not was a huge question. Quietly, he slipped down the stairs, finally reaching the last one, and slowly advancing on the half dozed off guard.

Cassius was sitting hunched over on the so called bed in her cell when she heard a dull thud nearby. From the sound of it, whatever or whomever was causing the commotion was nearby the staircase. Stiffly, she rises to her feet and she makes her way over to the bars of her cell to try and see what was going on. But it was too dark for her to see anything beyond her cell. She doubted any of the other inmates could have gotten out. Every cell door in here had been locked by that young man who had spoken with her earlier. He had treated her with a surprising amount of human decency, unlike many of her former friends.

Farjon stood above the slumped over body of the guard, gripping the pot as if he had to hang on to it for dear life. He looked at the man and kicked him lightly with his foot to see if he was really out. The man didn’t move, but a dark blue mark started forming on his forehead. Farjon dropped to the ground and went through the man’s pockets in search of the keys. He came across them alright, and also came across a large hunting knife. He put that in his boot should he ever need it, and then headed for the the rouges cell. “Ok.”, he thought on his way there. “Now there is no turning back for sure. As soon as I do, I’m going to end up here, and chances are that I’m going to END here too, if it comes that far, considering the prisoners seem to enjoy my company so much.”, he thought sarcastically as he passed the guy who had tried to throttle him earlier. Eventually he came across the rogues cell and began checking all the keys to see if they would work, yet still trying to stay quiet whilst doing it. He couldn’t quite see the rogue at the moment, for his eyes were unused to the lighting, but he knew she had to be there. “Ok, forget about what I said earlier about not being able to help, I’m breaking you out now.”, he declared, getting straight to the point.

Cassius quirks an eyebrow slightly as she takes a moment to process what she was hearing. "You're serious?" She asks. Surely he had to realize what kind of trouble this could get him into, freeing a wanted rogue. He wouldn't be able to come back here afterwards. Not without risking getting thrown in one of these cells himself. They'd suspect him first after he had been seen conversing with her earlier. So... why was he doing this? He had nothing to gain from freeing her from her cell. At least not as far as she could surmise. And what could have caused him to have this change of heart enough to come back for her? Had he actually believed her innocence? He'd be the first aside from her friends in the guild.

Farjon gritted his teeth together as he rattled the key in the key hole, finally coming across the right one. “Yes, I’m serious.”, he said between his teeth, finally getting the door unlocked. “I can’t change my mind now anyways, I sort of ambushed the guard and knocked him out, and I don’t think the commander will take kindly to that.” He looked around quickly as the creaky door swung open. Ah yes, this was something he had forgotten to think about in his rush. Where to go now.? If he went home it would be a matter of time before some soldiers would show up at his house. His best option was to hide somewhere, preferably somewhere far away from here. However, his first step was to get out of this castle, for starters.

"True... your life will be in danger now too. I don't know why you're helping me like this, but I appreciate it nonetheless." Cassius says, stepping out of the now open cell door. "Allow me to return the favor, come follow me. I know some place safe we can rest for the night at least. Figuring out the rest will have to wait for the morrow" she says, motioning for him to follow her as she slipped into the darkness. She knew a way out of here, and they could seek shelter with the order of shadows for the night. She knew they would accept after she had saved their youngsters a few years ago. They couldn't stay for long since they'd have to get out of the city. But it would do for tonight.

This time Farjon took a shorter time to think about the offer than earlier. “I’ll be much obliged to you, why you would want to take me I do t know, I’ll probably hold you up, but if I could follow you to the place you mentioned earlier I would be very greatfull.” He was about to go put the keys back but stopped. “Wait, before I put these back, is there anyone else here who should be sprung?”, he asked rather unsure of himself.
(This is my last post tonight. Thank you for rping, it was so much fun! Night!)

"You're risking your life to get me out of here. Bringing you to safety is the least I can do in return." Cassius says, pausing. Her mismatched gaze scans the cells around them to see if she could spot any other innocents. "There, the kid in that cell. I know him. He's innocent too. If you can his cell open then we can all get out together. I know a place where there's a break in the wall. If we stay in the darkness then we can get out of here" she says, gesturing to a cell across the dungeons. There would be much to figure out yet, but for now escaping had to be their top priority.
(Good night, glad you're having fun too)

Farjon nodded, and quickly walked up to the cell she had indicated. He opened the door and pressed it down firmly as it swung open to avoid it creaking. A younger figure, still but a boy lay in the cell, his hair falling over his face, sleeping. Farjon gently but firmly woke him up. The boy was about to say something. Obviously he hadn't expected to be woken up this late. Farjon held his hand over his mouth. "Hush, we're breaking you out.", he said quietly, poiting at the other prisoner he had sprung.

"Come now, it's okay kid. We're going to get you back to the guild. Keep your voice down, we can't afford to draw unneeded attention" Cassius says, kneeling down to be at eye level with the child. The guild took in many orphans who had no other place to go. This boy, Cirdan was one of them. He was no more than seven or eight. Cass wasn't a member of the guild herself, but she was an ally of the guild. "Can you walk?" She asks, glancing at the child's ankle. He had been tossed in here pretty roughly, and his ankle was at an awkward ankle. That meant it was most likely broken. Cirdan shakes his head in response. "I thought as much, come on. Up we go and hold tight. We need to move quickly" she says, hoisting the child onto her shoulders, wincing slightly at the pressure on her injured shoulder. She could suck it up though, her tolerance for pain had always been high. Once she was certain that the child was holding on tightly, she slowly rises to her feet and looks over to Farjon. "Stay close, and stick to the shadows. The coast should be clear once we get out of here given the time, but best not to take risks" she says.

Farjon nodded, and was about to go for an exit, when he remembered something. He dragged the man he had knocked out into a cell and locked it, the threw the key into one of the other inmate's cells. "Might buy us time.", he whispered, before looking over the child that lay over the lady's shoulder. The ankle appeared broken, and Farjon felt a passionate anger rise in him. "Who would treat a child, A CHILD, like this? He smiled good-naturedly at the boy, before saying in a low voice,"The ankle is broken. Its a tricky break to fix, but I know how to do it. This is not a good place for it though, we'll need to lie him down. Where are we running to?"

"Only a monster could treat a child like that... I don't know which guard was responsible for this but whomever it was deserves the same." Cassius says lowly. She had one hand on one of the child's knees to further hold him securely on her shoulders in case he couldn't hold on tight enough to stay perched up there. There was no way he could walk out of here on that ankle. She wasn't in the best shape either after that fight, but she could afford to hold up his weight. "First things first, we have to get out of here and get to the order. They have beds there where we can lay him down, and some milk of the poppy for the pain. It wouldn't do to set the bone without something to numb the pain. Poor kid probably won't be able to withstand that kind of pain" she says gruffly as she gestures to an open cell with one hand. "There's a break in the wall of that one, obscured by darkness. Somehow none of the guards have noticed it. We can slip out through there" she says.

Farjon squinted his eyes into the inky dark expanse of the dungeon corners. Indeed, almost ivisible against the constant dark, the appeared to be a hole. Not a large one, barely big enough to squeeze through. He nodded at her remark. "They deserve a whole lot more than that,", he hissed quietly. "If it were a grown man that would be a great misdeed but this is a mere child, and an innocent one at that!" He advanced towards the hole, and squeezed through it, waiting for the others to come. He noticed that her shoulder appered to still be in great pain. "I can take the child.", he offered, stretching out his arms.

"Too true... if I find out who did this, then I can guarantee that there will be Demons to pay." Cassidy says, exhaling slightly as the child shifted on her shoulders, placing more weight on her injured shoulder. She had been tossed into the cell rather roughly too, but by virtue of the fact that she was much bigger than the child, the impact hadn't broken anything. She maybe had bruised a couple of ribs at worst, but nothing was broken. And she could handle loosing a bit of blood. But the thought that a child had been hurt like that made her blood boil. Society might look down upon her and other rogues as a whole, but it seemed like they operated with more honor than some. "I would appreciate that" she says, glancing up at Cirdan. "I'm going to pass you over to him, okay kid? I'll be right behind you" she says as she lifts him carefully up off her shoulders. Stepping closer to the hole in the wall, she passes him through to Farjon's outstretched arms.

Farjon carefully took the child out of the rouges arms and carefully set him down on his shoulders. The weight bore down on him quite a bit, but he firmed up his joints and shifted the boy so that he would be more comfortable. The woman had his utmost respect for carrying him on an injured shoulder without even saying anything or complaining. At her statement, he nodded. Woe be whoever did this and crossed her path, for Farjon was sure that if he were unfortunate to do so, he would bever be found on the face of this earth. He waited untill she had come through the hole,, then waited for her to lead the way. After all, she was the one who knew the location of where they were going. "What is your name?", he asked the boy softly, trying to distract him a little. He seemed more nervous being carried by a stranger than by a person he knew.
