Griffin's growling stopped as he heard small little whines. "Hadassa....we can't hurt them." Griffin said. "How old are your pups?" He asked. Winter was trembling. "a few minutes." she said as her pups whined. She pulled them closer to her and nuzzled them. "please." she whispered. "don't hurt us...I just delivered them" she muttered. Griffin looked at the female and then at the pups and then at the male. "Hadassa....we can't harm them..." Griffin said again

Hadassa ceased growling as she heard the small squeals as well, she sat down to show that she wasn't going to attack, ''your right Griffin,'' she said looking sympathetically towards the newborn pups, ''but what are we going to do, we are going to have to report to Storm.'' Skylar had stopped growling but his hackles were still half raised and he watched the movements of the other two closely.

"We can't!" Griffin said suddenly. "We have to keep this a secret." Griffin told her. "We just need to make sure that we're the only ones to scout this way." He decided. "What do you think? Is that reasonable enough?" He asked.

''I guess your right,'' Hadassa said, she didn't want this family found out and driven away, but she knew that sooner or later the Alpha would find them... she could not think what would happen if that occurred, ''alright, we'll keep this a secret for as long as we can. Skylar relaxed a little more, ''you aren't going to report us,'' he asked, still suspicious.

Griffin shook his head. "no" He said. "In fact, we're going to help you." He said. "You are?" Winter asked. Griffin nodded. "I can tell that your mate wishes to remain with you, so until he feels he is ready to leave your side, I think its safe to say that Hadassa and I will hunt for the both of you and we will make sure that no other wolf finds you." he promised.

Hadassa nodded, ''yes, we will. We aren't the best of hunters since scouting is our job, but we can do it!'' Skylar cocked his head thinking the offer over, he still distrusted the two a little but he also really wanted to be with his mate. Eventually, love for his mate won over and he nodded, ''that is very kind of you,'' he answered Griffin, ''considering how we are on your pack's territory. But I thank you.''

Winter smiled a bit. "thank you" she said. Griffin nodded and padded out of the den with Hadassa. Winter relaxed when they left and once more lay her head down. "Now, back to my sleep." She joked a bit as she closed her eyes.

''Yes,'' he said, ''you need it.'' Skylar was still very agitated at the suddenness of the visit, he paced the den mouth a few times before finally calming down and laying down at the entrance as the scent of the scouts slowly drifted away. He was glad that Winter could rest, this sudden visit had raised her adrenaline which was not good to a wolf who had just given birth to pups, hopefully everything would be alright, he thought worriedly.

Winter slept soundly for a good few hours before she woke up a little while later. She looked over at her mate and nuzzled him from where she lay. "How are the pups?" she asked, gazing down at the little fur balls, wiggling at her belly. "Have you come up with any names for the other two?" Winter asked as she licked their heads lovingly

''They're wonderful,'' Skylar answered nuzzling her back, ''and very quiet, at least for now,'' he smiled. ''Well, I though Brechin could suit the darker one, and the other white one looked kind of like a lichen,'' he said looking back to winter, ''what do you think?''

Winter just smiled. "those are perfect." She said, with gleaming eyes. The night before, Winter was still pregnant with these pups, and now, here they were. She gazed down at them as they were curled up in a pile asleep. She smiled. Suddenly, a thud was heard outside of the den. "two rabbits for you." the voice of Griffin said. "We will bring more tomorrow morning." He said before trotting away. "Well, guess they kept their promise" She said as her mate went to the entrance to retrieve the food.

Skylar smiled, glad that his mate approved of his name choice. He got up to fetch the food and brought it back to Winter, ''it seems they have,'' he answered, ''but im just glad that I get to be with you he said nuzzling her. He looked down at the pups again, ''I wonder what each of their personalities will be.''

[Abbster]

"we'll have to see" She said as she began to devour the rabbit. When she finished she looked down at her pups and smiled. "Well hello my little ones." She said. Eclipse, turned her small head and looked towards the voice...or tried. She wiggled around a little bit and let out a whine. Winter smiled and nudged her daughter back over to her belly.

Skylar smiled, “quite the curious one isn’t she,” he said bending down and gently licking the tiny dark furred pup, “who are you feeling now dearest,” he asked laying down near Winter.

Winter shrugged. “Still quite tired, but other than that, pretty good.” Winter said, licking her mates ear. “Thanks” she said with a smile. “How are you?” She asked.
