Winter smiled as well. "They are doing just wonderfully" Winter said as she gazed down at her four pups. "They haven't opened their eyes yet, which is to be expected, but they have been trying to move around." She said. "Just this morning, Eclipse waddled away from me and over to Skylar" She said with a chuckle. "Oh, right, we should introduce you to them formally." Winter decided. "This black one is Eclipse, and then Avalanche, Lichen, and Brechin." Winter said

Hadassa smiled, ''those are beautiful name,'' she said. ''Hello little ones,'' she said to the pups, though she knew they could not speak yet. ''We had a rather close call yesterday,'' she looked back at Skylar and Winter, ''our Alpha wanted us to report, and we did but it was difficult to keep you guys a secret from him, we were lucky he had been called away suddenly,'' she looked at Griffin.

Winter stiffened. "Thank you" She said with a small smile. "It means a lot to both me and Skylar that you kept us a secret." She said. "And it keeps our pups safe." Winter added. Griffin nodded as Hadassa spoke. "If he hadn't been called away I don't know what might've happened." Griffin admitted as he looked at both Winter and Skylar. "we're doing everything we can to keep you guys a secret" he promised

Skylar nodded, ''yes thank you, we appreciate you both greatly, and we and our pups are deeply in debt to you,'' he said backing his mate. Hadassa shook her head and shuddered slightly at the thought of her pack finding her new friends. ''Well, we should get back now before we are gone for too long and the Alpha asks us what we were doing,'' she said, ''but we will came back as soon as we can, ''she promised.

Winter nodded again. "Thank you, again" Winter added. Griffin nodded. "of course" he said as he padded out beside Hadassa. Winter smiled. "I thought they weren't going to keep us a secret" She finally admitted to her mate by the time the other two wolves had left the den. She gazed at her mate. "What if they do give us away?" she asked

“I wasn’t so sure about them either,” Skylar said gravely. He shook his head, “I don’t know,” he said slowly, “I don’t know if those scouts would give us away on purpose. But they can’t keep us a secret forever,” he said quietly.

Winter sighed and lay her head down on her mates shoulder. “We just….we just need to trust them I suppose.” Winter finally said. She gazed down at her four pups. “Skylar, what if…what if you’re not here and the pack finds us while you’re hunting one day?” Winter said. “What will I do them?”

''That's all we can do,'' Skylar said slight worry in his eyes. He was silent for a moment at his mate's question, he didn't quite know how to answer that, ''well...'' he was at a loss, he did not know how to answer this, ''lets not worry about this right now,'' he said quickly, but he knew that they would have to figure it out, it was an important question, he fell silent in thought.

Winter nodded. “Alright.” She said as she licked her mates nose. “I’m just….” She sighed. “I’m scared” winter muttered. “I don’t want to our pups to die….if the pack finds us…they could kill them” Winter said, eyes glazed with fear.

One month later....

Skylar coudnt help but wag his tail at the sight of his pups, just a month ago their pups were helpless little fur balls. Now, while they were still fur balls they were a lot more mobile now and had even opened their eyes. Skylar smiled to his mate, ''I cant believe it, I really cant,'' he said shaking his head.

Winter smiled. “I know!” She said. “We managed to get through the entire month without the pack finding us!” She said. “And, I was right. Eclipse has your eyes.” She said as Eclipse tumbled towards her fathers paws. She let out a sneeze as his fur got in his mouth and she gazed up at him with huge wide blue eyes.

Skylar laughed, ''she does, and Brechin yours,'' he exclaimed as the small pup nuzzled against his mother's coat. Skylar played around with his daughter by gently pushing her around with his paw, ''quite the energetic one aren't you,'' he said laughing again.

Eclipse let out a high pitched yip and she stumbled backward at the sound. Winter chuckled. “Alright you four, how about you get some milk. It’s getting late.” Winter said. Eclipse was playing with her fathers tail when Avalanche rushed passed her and snuggled up by his mother to nurse. Winter smiled as the rest of the pups joined. “I hope we’ll still be safe out here.” Winter admitted.

Skylar laughed when Eclipse immediately dropped his tail when food was mentioned. Lichen and Brechin kept tripping each other over as the both scrambled to their mother's side and tried to squeeze into a place. ''As do I,'' Skylar answered his mate laying down beside her, ''I say once the pups get a little older we'll go and find a new home, what do you think my love?''

Winter nodded a little bit to her mate as their pups nursed. "I know you're right." Winter said. "But don't you think that traveling will be a lot for them?" Winter asked as she looked down at her nursing pups. She sighed a little bit and curled her tail close to them. "I just hope we don't have any problems before then"
