The Magical World of North of North (Private w/Abbster)

One day, two friends discovered a world of magical horses through a small door in their riding academy closet. Going through this door, the two girls discovered that this world is called North of North. A land where herds of wild magical horses roam the lands, amongst humans. What the girls do not know, is that this world is in danger. An evil witch has come to this land to steal all the magic from the horses and use it to rule the world of North of North as an evil sorceress. In order to save this land, these two girls must work together to find the lost leaders of the herds. And restore balance back to North of North. What they do not know, is that two girls before them came to this land and established the kingdom of North of North, becoming the Queens of two Valkyrie warriors. The Moon Warriors and the Sun Warriors. These two groups ride flying horses who help protect all of North of North from harm. Can these two girls help protect North of North from danger? And who are these queens that came before them? All will be revealed to them once they arrive in North of North.

Malia stretched in her bed at around 5:30 am. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, looking over at her best friend. “Morning” Malia said sleepily. “Avalynn” Malia said putting her slippers on. She noticed the pictures of her two dogs were crooked, so she quickly fixed them before walking over to Avalynns bed. “Avalynn! It’s time to get up. You know breakfast is at 6:00 am, it’s 5:35 already. Come on, we have riding first.” She said excitedly as she went to the bathroom and started to brush her hair. Malia’s hair was long and curly from her braid the night before. She brushed it out with some water and then pulled it back in a slick pony tail before she stretched again and then grabbed her riding clothes from the closet. Slipped them on and then put her uniform in her back pack. It was now 5:45 am. “You getting up?” Malia asked.

Avalynn was not much of a morning person as she laid in bed. Her side of the room was decorated in purples and blues as she and had some galaxy inspired lights that gave her room an ethereal look to her side of her room. She looks over at her clock when that was sitting next to her moon lamp as she sits up in bed. "Okay...let me just take a shower. You know I am not a morning person. I hate when you get me up this early," Avalynn sighed as she pulled herself from her bed. She stretches as she hears her shoulder pop. Walking over to her closet, Avalynn pulls her uniform out and heads into the bathroom to take a hot shower. When she was done, Avalynn comes out as she pulls her calf high black socks on before putting her shoes on. Placing a bow in her hair to hold half up, she grabs her bag with her school stuff in it and kisses her cat, Luna good bye. "Be good, Luna," Avalynn says to the ragdoll cat. She then follows Malia out of the room so that they could head to breakfast.

Lola and Espresso were playing around a little bit that morning. Espresso being so tiny, Lola always went easy on her. “Good, you’re ready.” Malia joked as she rubbed her two dogs behind the ears. As Lola was growing each day, Malias parents would be picking her up later that afternoon, but Espresso would stay as her breed remained small. Malia sit the door to their room and headed down to the dining hall. “I don’t get why you always shower before our riding lessons”
Malia said. “You know we just have to shower before class anyways because we need to be clean for classes” she said as she rolled her eyes. “That’s probably one of the stupidest rules this school has in all honesty” Malia chuckled

(Espresso is named after a song by my fave artist Sabrina Carpenter lol, so don’t be surprised if I mention Sabrina Carpenter from time to time)

"I am used to always taking a shower in the morning. I just don't like change very much. It never is easy for me," Avalynn says as she follows Malia down the hall. She could see other girls starting to head towards the elevators so that they could go down for breakfast. Pressing the call button for the elevator, Avalynn gets in as she yawns. She hated getting up early in the morning like this. Breakfast never ended until 8 am. "Why did you get me up this early anyways? You know I usually don't get up unto about 6:45 am Is there something special for breakfast? I don't recall it being something special on the menu....: Avalynn yawned as she leans against the side of the elevator and closes her eyes.

“I know.” Malia said. “But I heard they’re making pancakes this morning, and you do love pancakes so I thought I’d get you up early, and besides, don’t Lola and Espresso wake you ip after I leave anyways?” Malia asked as she glanced at the time on her phone. 5:55 it read and she looked back over to Avalynn, who looked so tired. Malia tried hard not to laugh, but it was kind of hard not to. “Girl, maybe go to bed earlier?” Malia suggested.

"Okay. I do love me a good pancake with some strawberries and whipped cream. But, you still did not have to wake me up so early. It's not like we are going on a trip somewhere," Avalynn announced as she yawned again. She then steps onto the elevator as she pulls her phone from her pocket of her school uniform to see a message from her dad. She smiles as she reads his message. Today was her mother's birthday. With a sigh, she messages her father back that she was fine and that today was her riding class. But her mood changes as she sets her phone back in her pocket. She looks down at the floor of the elevator as she feels her tears welling up in her eyes. She quickly wipes them away before Malia could see that she was crying.

Malia noticed Avalynn go quiet, and she looked over at her. “Hey” she said, nudging her. “We’re almost to the first floor, perk up.” She said with a smile when the elevator dinged and the door opened. Malia walked out and waited for Avalynn before the two headed for the dining hall. When they got there, it wasn’t to busy as it was early in the morning. Malia headed to the front to get her stack of freshly baked pancakes. Then she walked over to the table she and Avalynn always sit at and took a seat. She began to cut her pancakes and then she started to eat them

Avalynn smiled as she looked at Malia. "I'll try. I wish I could just spend the day reading today. It looks like it is about to rain outside. We may not be able to ride in the outdoor arena today," Avalynn sighed as she looked out the large windows on either side of the dining hall. Walking over to the buffet style set up, Avalynn proceeds to chose sausage, scrambled eggs. bacon, and some fried potatoes, along with a stack of pancakes. She even grabs a glass of orange juice from the dispenser. Heading to their table at one of the windows, Avalynn sits down across from Malia. "i Wish it was still the weekend. I want to be reading my new book...that one about the vampire school. I love it so much.....but I could also play some video games as well..." Avalynn sighed as she gripped her fork, and took a bite of her sausage.

“I wish it was the weekend too.” Malia said. “My dad is coming to get Lola this afternoon, I hope Espresso is ok without her best friend” Malia said as she took another bite of her pancake. Suddenly, her phone buzzed. “Hold on, it’s probably my dad.” She pulled out her phone and read the text from her father. She sighed a bit and replied before putting her phone away. “He’s coming during our free period, around like 12:30.” Malia said. “You think Espresso will be ok?” She asked

Avalynn looks at Malia as she takes a strawberry off her pancake and bites it. "You know what Headmistress Desaria said. If we get one more noise complaint in the middle of the night....we might be expelled. And I can't let that happen...my dad would kill me...and then he would have to send me back to school in Seattle. And...I don't like the schools in Seattle. There are too many kids there. And some of them I find scary. I don't want to leave this place until I can no longer attend due to being too old," Avalynn announced as she looked at Malia. She then bite into the rest of the strawberry before cutting some more of her pancake. Emerald Ridge was a nice town. It was a well known town in the state of Washington that was located in the foothills of the cascade mountains. So they had nice views of the mountains during the summer and early fall. The rest of the year, it was rainy. "I was wondering....maybe we can go to the little diner down the road for some burgers for dinner tonight. I don't feel like having dining hall food tonight. We are allowed off campus after classes get out. Maybe we can even go and go shopping or something."

"Yeah....Lola does make a lot of noise at night." Malia said, her cheeks turning red with embarrassment. Espresso would be fine, she was always so quiet. "Sure, I don't really want any campus food tonight either" Malia said. "It also gives me an excuse to take Espresso off campus for a walk. I haven't been able to take her on a walk for ages" Malia said, grabbing her glass of water to get a drink. "Ok, how does this sound, since we don't have our final class of the day together, we meet up in the dorm room after classes let out, I'll get Espresso ready for the walk and then you and I can head over to that burger place tonight" Malia suggested

"And don't forget about Luna. She has Luna in the room with her when we aren't there. So, Espresso should be fine," Avalynn announced as she soon got quiet. She thought about her mom a lot. It had been a year since her mother died. She looks down at her half eaten pancakes and soon pushed them away. "Malia, do you mind if I meet you in the stables? I need to go back up to the room. I realized I forgot something," Avalynn announced as she soon stands up. She grabs her plate and her bag and heads over to the tray return. She puts her tray on the conveyer belt before heading out of the dining hall, Avalynn heads back to the elevator and presses the button to return back upstairs. Once upstairs and back in their room, she reaches for her mothers journal that she stored under her pillow. She liked to read it when she was alone. Sitting on her bed with Luna, she strokes the ragdolls silky fur before opening the book to read the first page.

January 13th

Today, Ranger and I were in the riding arena with the other students, as it was snowing outside, and we could not go out to the riding area outside since it was so cold. Ranger is my thoroughbred gelding. He is a really pretty dapple grey. And he has eyes the color of chocolate. I swear, when I look into his eyes, I sometimes get hungry. Headmistress Desaria is teaching again today, since Instructor Lisa is not here today. She had to go out of town for a family emergency. After class today, I found something really interesting about my journal. It came with a necklace. The same one that i am wearing right now. It's a friendship necklace, and I am going to give it to my best friend, Samantha. I found it in the back of my journal in a little pocket. It really pretty with two gems in it. One half has a diamond, and the other an emerald. I don't know if they are real. But they sparkle in the sunlight and are so pretty. Anyways, it is time for me to go to dinner. I will write more later. I am also kind of tired since this first week was so exhausting.

Looking down at the journal, Avalynn turned the pages until she found a small pocket in the back of the journal and opened it. Reaching her fingers inside, she found the two necklaces that was described in the journal. They were in the shape of a heart with a gem in each of them. Luckily, the chains did not tangle as she pulled them out. She looked at the necklaces and soon realized what time it was. "Oh, shoot! I am going to be late!" Avalynn announced as she flew off her bed before running over to the door, after pocketing the necklaces in her pocket.

Malia nodded. "of course!" She said as she put her plate with Avalynn and headed out to the barn to get Everest out from her field. She was curious as to what Avalynn was doing as she usually always walked to the barn with her. She shrugged and thought nothing of it as she grabbed Everest's halter and headed towards the field.

Meanwhile..

Espresso hopped off Malia's bed and she trotted over to Avalynn. The girl always gave Espresso loves with Malia wasn't in the room. Espresso jumped onto Avalynn's bed and snuggled up beside her and Luna as the cat snuggled by her owner. Espresso whined a little bit and looked up hopefully at Avalynn, hoping she'd rub her behind the ears.

Heading back to the stables after she ran from the dorms, Avalynn enters the locker room since she had her riding class for the first class of the day. She finds an area to change into er riding clothes just as the bell rang for the school day to start. Luckily, she was quick to get dressed. When she runs into the stables, she finds Midnight in her stall as she checks her eyes for a moment. Thankfully, they were not red like she had been crying. She had stuffed the necklaces in each of her pockets so that she could give one to Malia when they saw each other in the stables. Quickly, she tacks up Midnight. She then spots Malia with her horse as she walks by. "Malia, I have something for you. I found it in my mom's journal this morning. I was reading her journal for a moment when I up to our room....just thinking about her at breakfast...it kind of made me need a minute to myself. I should have told you that was where I was going. Except I didn't," Avalynn announced as she lowers her head for a moment. She then reaches into her pocket and handed Malia the necklace with the diamond on it. "We can wear these as friendship necklaces."
