Rune would look around her stall she had never really been inside many luxurious stables before so this was all new to her, she knew some of these horses were a lot like her all pedigree horses with various champion bloodlines, she watched as a human entered her stall he would grumble as he grabbed a halter and lead rope and put them on her before leading her outside of the stall and stable, "Fancy pedigree horses..every one of them is spoiled" The human muttered under there breath as he would lead Rune into a fairly large pasture and unclip the lead rope and take off her halter, Rune would stop for a moment before galloping away from the main gate of the pasture at a slow gallop, she felt the wind brush against her face as she picked up speed then she stopped seeing a cluster of trees, she slowed down to a walk as she approuched the trees looking at each one with curiousity.

Satyr pawed nervously at the metal floor of the horse trailer. Her hoof made sharp banging sounds but it was hardly heard above the rattling of the trailer as they drove down the gravel driveway. Satyr had been away for a day, she and her owner had visited the arena where they and some others were to put on a dressage show in precisely three weeks. He had wanted for her to get a feel of the place so that it wouldn’t be entirely new for her when the show day came. “When will this be over,” she said moaning softly, she hated traveling, it always made her feel a little sick but she was glad that they were finally getting back to the stables. The vibrations beneath her legs eventually ceased as the truck ground to a halt. “Finally,” she thought with relief. Someone walked up to the back gate and unbolted the lock, sliding it back. The door suddenly slammed down startling her. The man who opened the door walked in and began untying the lead rope from where it tethered Satyr.

Echo snorts softly, tossing her head slightly as she was led down the ramp from her trailer. This was a new place she notes as she looks around. She could see other humans milling about with other horses. Most were pedigree horses... so what was she doing here? She wasn't some fancy pedigree horse from an extravagant bloodline as far as she was aware. She was a cross-breed. Her mother had been a paint and her father an appaloosa. But she was here now in any case, so she would make the best of it. It was a relief to be out of the trailer in any case. And before the trailer, she had been in another strange vehicle. The humans had called it a plane. She hadn't liked this plane... it was very loud and none of the other horses on the plane had seemed to like it either. All in all, it had been a long journey to get here and she was pretty done with being on the road. The air smelled different here. But the grass was just as green and she could smell her human nearby. And it was her human's father who was currently leading her while her human spoke to another human. So at least some things had remained the same.

Ebony peers out of her stall, watching as brand new horses began to fill the empty spaces around her. Both she and Bree had come from the same place. They home wasn't one htat catered to one specific breed of horse. It was a clean and very nice show jumping barn. Their owners were related, though they didn't come from the same family. Cousins, was what she had overheard, though she didn't exactly know what that meant. Bree's owner was a young woman, who was in her late twenties, while her owner was a young man, who was in his early twenties, just starting out in the equestrian world. They had arrived here, a couple of days ago, so that they could get acclimated. They were fairly local, but this was the first time that they had been in a place like this. Because they got along so well, their owners were able to get them stalled, next to each other. So far, every horse here, was like them......a royally bred horse, with a fancy pedigree and an attitude to match. She had, as of yet, to see a horse, who didn't come from the same background, but she knew there was always that possibility. This barn wasn't strictly for show jumpers. Oh well, she didn't mind other horses, provided that they didn't get too close to her, when she was jumping.

"I got her from here Dad. Thanks for helping me get her here. I'll get her settled in and then meet you back by the car." Echo hears her human say as she took the lead rope from the man. He called her many things... pumpkin, and kiddo amongst them. But Echo was pretty certain that her name was Samantha. The mare continues to walk calmly as Samantha led her into the barn. "Stall six... this one is yours girl." Samantha says, opening the stall door. Echo steps into the stall, turning around so that Samantha could unclip the lead rope from her halter. Samantha shuts the door afterwards and rummages in her pocket for a sugar cube to offer her mare. She knew that Echo wasn't a pedigree like the other horses, but she loved the colorful mare just the same.

Neptune would look around the stable so far he was the only gelding in the stable he wasn't feeling very social at the moment so he would eat some hay left in a hay net for him to munch on as he pleased, he would then hear the sounds of stall doors being opened and closed he knew that meant new horses were coming to the stable, he had arrived a week ealier to get used to the stable and the constant noises, he would then stop eating his hay and poke his head out over the stall door he was curious about the other horses entered and exited there stalls, then he saw his owner coming towards him he would greet her with a neigh "Hey boy big day coming up I need to go into town for a day I will be back boy don't worry" his owner said to him as he pet him gently, he wasn't thrilled about her going away for a day but he knew that Nicole his owner most likely needed it as much as he needed rest, they had been training hard for days to get everything ready for a eventing show which Neptune was sure was one Nicole wanted to win as he could read it in her eyes he was willing to help her win even if it meant crossing water to do so.

Wolf would be lead down a trailer ramp he was rather frisky at the moment so his owner had a tight hold on his lead rope as he walked down the ramp, he didn't try and rear up as his owner Carl lead him to the stable and towards his stall he would open stall 17 and look at the nameplate " my this place is fancy but you know what you deserve it boy" Carl would say as he leads Wolf into the stall and takes off his halter and lead rope and checks his legs over for any injuries, he then gives Wolf a sugar cube before closing his stall door and giving him a pet "I will be back boy I must repair your harness before the show coming up" Carl said as he walked towards the tack room to place Wolf's halter and lead rope down in a place assigned for him before heading back to his truck and driving off towards town, Wolf would munch down on the sugar cube with pleasure, it wasn't often he was given a sugar cube as Carl often made him a sweet horse feed mixture before a big show which made Wolf think this show meant something to Carl as he had often been given a sugar cube before a local area show.

Viking snorted violently and flung his head upwards binging it down with a shake as he felt the strap beneath his belly cinch tight. He always hated whenever his master tacked him up, something always just felt off as soon as the saddle was slid into place. It wasn't like this when the trainer tacked him up the light bay stallion had noticed. After getting the saddle secure his owner moved to slip the bridal on, Viking resisted this, ears pinned back and teeth clamped shut. ''Come on, boy. Why d'you have to give me trouble every time?'' his owner said, the exasperation in his tone was evident though he still tried to keep his voice calm. Eventually he did get Viking to open his mouth and was able to stick the bit in his mouth. Viking shifted his shoulders and moved his legs awkwardly, the man had obviously done something wrong with the saddle again. He noticed that the man was tugging at the reins and Viking moved forward to follow, all the while making odd movements and swishing his tail with frustration. As they passed the mare's stalls his ears pricked suddenly and he lifted his head, attempting at looking more noble. There had been a particular mare he had seen a couple of days ago. Suddenly he shook his head, ''why do I care about how I look in front of some mare,'' he snorted. But all the while as they passed the stalls his body stayed alert.

Rune would hear the sounds of trailers and horses and walked over to the part of the pasture that overlooked the parking area, "Wow that's a lot of trailers I sure hope the other horses are nice unlike that awful dapple grey I met once" Rune said to herself as she watched some horses get unloaded and led towards the stable, she would watch the other horses for a bit until she lost intrest and grazed on some grass until a human came to fetch her and take her back into her stall, she would play a little game of keep away with the human as she grabbed her halter he smiled as he chased her until Rune stopped allowing him to put the halter on and clip her lead rope on, "There you go little Rune now let's get you looking beautiful" the human said with a irish accent she allowed herself to be led inside the stable and into her stall where he then groomed her and picked out her hooves, "Riley will be back little Rune till then she asked me to look after ya" the human said as he finished grooming her and then took off her halter and lead and shut her stall door before heading to the tack room, Rune would then poke her head over her stall door " Umm hello anyone there I'm Rune who are you" she would say as she waited for a response to her greeting she scratched a itch on her left shoulder which had been bugging her slightly .

Satyr's delicate white ears pricked when she heard her master's voice call from near the truck, ''let her run around the pasture for a bit to stretch her legs but put 'er in before noon, I don't want the sun getting to her. And be sure to turn on her fan when you do bring her in.'' ''Yes, sir,'' the groom answered politely from beside the white Lipizzaner. Satyr detected a slight undertone of annoyance in the man's voice, he probably thought all this a little excessive. He began leading her away from the trailer and towards the fenced field. Suddenly the truck started up again and began driving away. The sound caused Satyr to take a few spooked steps before settling down and allowing the groom to continue leading her. She had been at this barn for a little over a week and was still getting used to all the new people and noises. As well as the horses which she hadn't met very many of so far. Her master wanted to keep her in an isolated pen for a week before placing her with any other horses in case there was any aggression shown towards his expensive horse. And two days had been the first time she was placed with another horse at this barn. But her owner had apparently thought she had done fine and reluctantly agreed that she could be placed with other mares on a regular basis. Yes, he was known to be a little paranoid and unfortunately (Satyr thought with a rueful expression) some of this rubbed onto his horse.

Echo swallows the sugar cube, watching silently as Samantha exited the barn. She had heard her say she was going out with her father to get some lunch afterwards, so she wasn't concerned. Samantha would be back eventually. She takes a step closer to the door of her stall, sticking her head out over the door. She turns her head slightly to look to the side as she hears another horse call out. "Hello... I'm Echo. I take it you're new here too?" She asks. This place was all so new... very different from the last place she had been boarded at. All the other horses here seemed to be pedigrees, specifically bred to compete. But Samantha seemed to believe that she belonged here in any case, that she could compete with the best of them despite not being some fancy horse from a long line of show horses. Echo had known Samantha since she was just a little girl and the mare was a yearling. And so she trusted Samantha's judgement, having watched her grow alongside her.

Neptune would hear the two mares and decided to say hello too to be polite, "Hello I'm Neptune nice to meet you Echo and Rune" he said as he turned his head to look at the two mares in there stalls, he could see one of the mares from where he was but the other one was a bit further away from him, he poked his head out to get a better look at the both of the mares who both had really pretty names if he must say so himself, he noticed that Rune seemed to be a diffrent breed from most show jumping horses he had seen before but he didn't dwell on that for now as he changed positions to look at Echo, "Your very diffrent from the other horses I have seen around here you don't look like a pedigree but I have been wrong before, oh sorry you must think I'm a spoiled brat for saying that I'm a purebred Trakehner what are you ladies exactly" Neptune said as he shook his head slightly annoyed by a fly that had landed on his nose, as he waited for the ladies answers he would distract himself by eating some hay in the hay net attached to his stall.

Hearing all of the increasing ruckus, that was going on outside of her stall, Bree stands up from her spot in the center, shaking the hay from her body, some bits left in her mane. Looking out, she soon sees more horses, than she recalled seeing before. She could also see that Ebony had been drawn out a bit by the noise. "My name is Bree," She says. She always addressed herself by her shorter barn name, rather than the longer name, that her owner, Victoria, had given to her. She had been born around Christmas time, when the song, Silent Night, had played, which was how she earned her name. "I'm a Swiss Warmblood," She says, holding her head high with pride, flicking her ears back and forth.
"My name is Ebony and I am a Selle Francais," Ebony says. She had been a special import, from France, so her voice held a little bit of an accent to it. She hadn't really expected horses to really hold accents, but that was how her mother had spoken. There were definitely some really nice horses here. A lot of mares, but she could also smell a stallion and a gelding. "I think that most of us are jumpers," She says. So far, they all seemed friendly, which did make her happy. Her facial features were very relaxed, and like Bree, her ears were flicking back and forth, as she licked her lips, feeling relaxed, and at ease. It was nice to have horses around, who all did something very similar. They all understood each other. She was simply waiting for her owner, James, to get here, since he was going to be taking her over some poles, later.

Echo turns her head slightly to look in the direction of the other stalls as more new voices join the conversation. Her gaze moves between Neptune and Bree and then over tp Ebony in turn as they all spoke. It seemed she was the only crossbreed in here, a fact that she was becoming increasingly more aware of. Bree in particular seemed to take pride in her breed. But now was not the time to become self conscious that she didn't hail from some fancy pedigree bloodline. She was good at what she did, and that was what mattered more than what her lineage was. "It's a pleasure to meet you all." She says pausing. "My mother was a paint. Never met my father... but she told me that he was an appaloosa" she says. She did feel a bit out of place in such a fancy barn. She had been born and raised on a smaller farm in Ontario. It was nothing like this barn out here, nor were the horses here. But they seemed friendly enough and she was going to make the best of whatever was to come.
