Twilight smiled, nodding "Me too" she said softly, glancing off in the direction of the herd were Rusty was somewhere. "But I haven't discussed it with Rusty yet." she added. "Well you should talk with Specks about it then!" she said, totally not understanding what she was hinting at.

(ig we time jumped to a few months after they got back cause it just seems more real if we time jumped yk)
Midnight couldn't keep the secret any longer. "Ok, I am going to tell you something, but please don't tell the girls, or Specks. I want to tell them when the time is right." she said, eyes glittering again. "I spoke with Oreo the other day, because I was feeling off, and I thought I might know what it was, but I just wanted to be sure" Midnight was bursting at this point. "Twily...i'm pregnant" she almost squealed.

(oh, but that doesn't work, bc she didn't see Buttermilk yet. So that would mean she wouldn't have seen him for months instead of weeks. I mean not that it really matters xD)
Twilight's eyes lit up and she jumped on her sister, giving her an enormous hug. "MIDNIGHT!" she herself squealed excitedly. "That's amazing!" she said, calming down after a few minutes and then nuzzling her sister. "I'm so excited! Have you and Specks planned names yet? Do you think it'll be a boy or a girl? How far along are you?" she asked, questions tumbling from her muzzle.

"OK calm down!" Midnight said. "I just only found out three days ago, and I still haven't told Specks, or the girls for that matter." she returned her sisters hug. "If I'm being honest, I want it to be a boy." then the thoughts started. "What if I have twins again...what if I don't make it this time, what if I do have twins and neither of them make it?? What if I have twins and don't make it through the birth?" her mind was whirling now. "Twily, what do I do?" she asked. She had two foals already. Both of which turned out perfectly. She was very happy. Specks looked up when he herd squealing. "Dada, whats that?" Beauty asked. "Lets go find out." he said, trotting to his mate with his two daughters behind him. "whats going on over here?" he asked. "Oh..." Midnight looked up. "Well...I just told Twilight that im having another foal" Beauty and Stardust went nuts. "WE'RE GETTING A LITTLE SIBLING??" Stardust asked. Midnight nodded and hugged her two daughters. "Thats amazing my love!" Specks said, laying down and hugging Midnight.
(OMG PLOT TWIST! TWILIGHT IS PREGNANT TOO! They've been pregnant at the same time both times so far...it only seems right)

Twilight grinned and clamped her teeth down, glancing over at the others. "Whoops" she said, still grinning. "I hope so too!" she said, then nuzzled her sister. "Hey, Midnight, don't you start that again. You know the odds of having twins twice is ridiculously low" she added. She moved over as the rest of the family came over, and began jumping around and squealing happily. Nutmeg came trotting over, head cocked curiously as to all the noise, and once she heard she began bucking around excitedly. "A LITTLE COUSIN!" she yelled to the world happily.
(Hmmm i think she'll find out tomorrow then, so as not to steal Midnight's thunder xD.)

Midnight laughed at Nutmeg's excitement. "HEY!" Beauty almost screamed. "I'm still younger than you, keep that in mind" she said laughing. "I can't wait to be a big sister, I'm gonna teach them how to play tag, and I'm gonna teach them all I know!" she said, "not at first" Stardust said. "Mom will need to take care of the foal for a while before it can even start playing with us" She explained. Beauty sighed. "ok" Midnight flicked her on the ear. "you can still play with your sibling, just not right away" Midnight promised.
(ok, can midnight be farther along tho? cause twilight is always the first lol)

Nutmeg bumped her cousin "Well of course, i mean another one!" she said happily. Nutmeg listened to the conversation, ears flicking back and forth curiously before she trotted to her mother. "Mom, can we have a little foal too?" she asked. Twilight blushed "Oh, Umm, we'll see Nutmeg" she said, glancing at Midnight

Midnight glanced at her sister. "whats up?" she asked her sister. She could tell something was off with Twilight when her sister blushed. Her sister hardly every blushed. Before Twilight could answer, Specks was nudging her to her feet, saying. "you need food" Midnight looked at him. "you didn't do this when I was pregnant with Stardust or Beauty, why change of heart?" she asked. "Because its winter, and you need to grow that little munchkin." he joked. Midnight rolled her eyes but went along with it any ways. Beauty keeping to her side, asking all sorts of questions

Twilight opened her mouth, then closed it, glad for the distraction of Specks. Getting to her own hooves, she trotted off in search of Rusty, beckoning for Nutmeg to follow her. Reaching the stallion, she nuzzled him, he looking up and nuzzling her in return. "Nutmeg, why don't you go find your grandma or aunt or uncle?" Twilight suggested, watching as the little filly nodded and cantered off through the herd. "Did you want to talk about something?" Rusty questioned, knowing her too well. She smiled, leaning against him slightly as he nuzzled her forelock. "well.. I did in fact. About Buttermilk" she said. He frowned slightly, then asked cautiously "So, first impression?" She sighed, silent for a few moments, gathering her words. "I think he seems a good natured, solid, strong young stallion" she said, almost reluctantly. Rusty almost beamed with relief. "That doesn't mean i'm totally on board with this though." she added, dampening him a bit. "Well, it's a start. You just need to talk with him a bit. Goodness knows i've talked with him enough!" he said with a chuckle. Twilight tilted her head. "Oh, you have?" she urged. "Yep, you don't think i'd let just any stallion near my daughter do you?" He said reproving but gentle. She nuzzled him again. "Of course, sorry" she replied. He shook it off "Nothing to be sorry about honey" he said. She leaned into him, silent for a few more moments before speaking. "I'd like to talk with him more, Buttermilk I mean" Rusty smiled softly. "I'm glad. I'm sure Songbird will be too" he added. A few more moments, and then she asked a question, caution in her tone. "Rusty.. you'd tell me if they were already mates, right?" He leaned away from her, turning to stare into her eyes with a look of hurt surprise. "Of course!!" he answered emphatically, and she relaxed again. "Midnight thought they might be, and I just wanted to be sure" she explained. "Well they probably WANT to be, but they won't without both of our permission" he said, and she nodded, pleased, staying silent and just standing with him.

“Hey, did Twilight seem off to you?” Midnight asked, flicking her tail over her belly when a tiny kick passed over her, “no, why?” Specks asked. Midnight shrugged. “So, where did Stardust run off to?” She asked. “Probably off to find Harley” specks said. Midnight sighed slightly then shook her head. “Oh! I totally forgot to tell you something. So when I went over to check with Oreo to see if I was pregnant, you’ll never guess what she told me” specks looked at her confused, “what?” He asked, now suddenly intrigued. “She’s pregnant too” specks gasped at her, “but that’s against the herd code, she knows that” midnight nodded. “I don’t know what she’s going to do” midnight said. “Well..who’s the father?” Specks asked. “A stallion named Mist. I’ve never herd of him” specks looked at her for a moment then gasped, “ohhh Mist! The outsider who joined the herd a few months ago” he said. Midnight laughed slightly. “She says she’s in love. But she thinks it’s ok now, because she has an apprentice.” Specks looked at her with wide eyes. “Who?!?” Midnight laughed. “That’s the other thing you’ll never guess. Starlight” midnight said, gazing at her little sister who was helping Oreo sort out herbs. “Your sister?” Specks asked. Midnight nodded. “Wow, I never would’ve thought that starlight would want to be a herd healer” specks said. “Me neither, but here we are” she laughed and nipped specks mane. He glared at her lovingly, before nipping her mane in return. She angled her ears and then picked up a snowball in her mouth and chucked it at him. “What are you 3?” He joked, laughing, throwing a snowball back at her. Midnight laughed and started cantering around tossing snow at her mate. Beauty saw this and joined in instantly, throwing snowballs at both her parents, and before long, stardust had returned and joined in the fun too.

(ooh nice!! I like that!! Starlight will be a good herd healer, and she'll always have Rusty around to help her if she needs help.)
Nutmeg trotted around the herd, looking for someone to play with or at least follow. Finally she caught sight of her aunt Starlight, and cantered over to her. It seemed she was doing stuff with some herbs and plants, with the herd healer Oreo. "Whatcha doing? Can I help? Will it be fun?" Nutmeg asked, shooting off questions before the other could answer.
Twilight stayed nestled against Rusty for a little while, enjoying the comfort and peace she had with him, and he lovingly nuzzling her forelock now and then. Finally she gave a light, but happy, sigh and balanced herself on her own hooves. "I think I want to go find Songbird and Buttermilk" She said carefully. Rusty looked into her eyes, then nodded understandingly. "Want me to come with you?" he asked. She could see that he honestly just wanted to help, and wasn't thinking she was going to fly into a fit or something. After a moment she gave a slight nod of her head. "That would be nice actually" she admitted, and he smiled. "Alright, let's go. Right now they're probably grazing somewhere" he added.

Midnight finally grew tired and she stopped. “Where in Epona is Twilight?” Midnight let out a huff. Specks glanced at her. “Honey, relax. She’s probobly just with rusty.” Midnight let out another huff. “She and I haven’t been separated for this long in a while, ok?” Midnight almost snapped. “Chill” specks said. Midnight let out a small relaxed sigh. “I’m sorry, ok? It just…she didn’t follow us when we left.” Midnight felt kind of sad all of a sudden. “It’s ok sweet heart” specks said as midnight lay herself down in the snow. “She always follows me, that’s all” she suddenly pressed herself into specks. “And now I don’t even know where she is” specks nuzzled her soothingly and kept nuzzling her. “Don’t worry about it, ok?” Midnight nodded, but she still couldn’t help but worry.
Starlight looked up from the herbs she was sorting. “Hi Nutmeg.” Starlight nickered softly. Then she looked over at Oreo. “I mean, if you don’t get in the way, you can help” Oreo said. “We’re sorting herbs” starlight added as she put juniper berries in a pile.

Nutmeg looked a bit skeptical, sniffing at the pile of plants. "What's the difference between them?" she asked with a frown.
Twilight trotted over the terrain with Rusty, heading for the edge of the herd. When they broke through the main group, she saw Specks and Midnight with their fillies in a patch of rather good looking grass. "Wait a minute, I want to go see Midnight for a second, I'll be right back" she said suddenly, a yearning to see her sister jerking her. Cantering towards them she finally reached them and slowed to a trot, a worried look reaching her eyes. Midnight was leaning into Specks, looking sad, tired, and worried. "Mid?" she asked softly.

Starlight sighed. This was going to be a very long day. “Well, these herbs right here help you sleep, these are for shock.” Starlight explained other types of herbs and was actually getting kinda bored of explaining all these herbs to her niece. “Why don’t you go find your mom” she suggested.
Midnights eyes had closed and she was dozing and specks nudged her slightly. “Hm” she muttered. “Wake up” specks said. “What?” She groaned. “Im up, I’m up” she sat up and looked at her mate. “I was dozing, what’s up..?” She looked over and saw twilight. “Oh, hey Twily” she said, trying not to sound concerned. “What’s up?” She asked. Specks looked at her, leaning forward and whispering to her. “Why aren’t you just telling her that you were worried?” He asked. Midnight looked at her and whispered back. “Because, it just doesn’t seem right, I don’t know” she nuzzled specks and then stood up. “What’s up?” She asked, still trying to not sound or look concerned

Nutmeg listened, the information going in one large ear and out the other. When her aunt suggested she go find her mother, she was eager to agree. "Alright, Bye!" she said, taking off in a puff of snow.
Twilight tilted her head, walking closer. "I was just about to ask you that" she said, concern in her eyes.
