So I’m planning on putting up the rp thread once the first hunting party fills out. But I wanted to make sure everyone knows that in the start of the rp ranks really haven’t been assigned and all the dogs are likely to be figuring out their place.

Lead hunters have no authority/leadership out of leading hunting parties, they are just there in case something comes up. They will typically have 2-3 hunters on each party, most likely with a morning and evening hunt. They are also the best hunters in the pack, followed by the regular hunters in the numbered order.

So the dogs are more in a wide open prairie type area and will be moved into a more wooded area. Think southern Minnesota for the final area they will be settling. I’ll update with photos in a bit.

Good visual, how far will they be traveling do you think?

Me too especially when it’s all strange dogs. Plus that way it gives more chances for characters to assert themselves. Because while alpha/beta are based on leadership the rest of the rankings I think might lean more towards who is a better hunter/skill.

I’m thinking maybe 100 miles or so, making it about 3-4 days depending on how fast they move. For reference Iditarod dogs travel 100 miles in one day. But our characters are not conditioned like that and they will need to get their own food. Plus they will be walking/trotting not running

We now have 4 hunters so I’ll be getting the thread up later today. I’ll be keeping the sign ups open, character backstories might just have to change depending on where the rp is at.

I'm so excited!!!!! Although i won't be able to make a post till later tonight, as i have church, then i have to go clean stables.

It won’t be till the afternoon/evening anyway. I went to visit family this weekend and I won’t have my computer till I get home, I could do it on my phone but it’s easier on a laptop.

Also once the pack gets established there will be border/territory patrols done once a a day. They will typically be lead either by the alpha or the beta along with whatever hunters were not assigned a morning/evening hunt.

Are there supposed to be multiple packs, or just one?

So this will just be one pack that will be heading off into the woods. Later on maybe a wolf pack could pop up, but again only if this rp continues on. There will likely be stray or farm dogs that occasionally pop up but no true pack in the surrounding area.

Vera, sorry if Sakari was too deciding, i just didn't want her first encounter with others to be following whatever someone said xD, as it's not really in her character to do that. She likes to think through things.

No that’s fine, Ziva tends to follow others in situations like this. It’s only when her prey drive is on/up that she tends to just go for it instead of listening.

No I think characters challenging each other is good right now since they haven't even formed the pack. Once the pack gets establish Nikita shouldn't be challenged as there would be consequences but that is still a little bit in the future.

Ohh that's true!!! Glad it works xD. And i was wondering... do you think we'll have romances form?
