Makta's smile spread even wider as she heard the raptor's roar, which she had to admit, was slightly surprising as she hadn't heard that sound come out of such a creature before. "Aaaah so there's more than one of the morsels!" she said, the news bringing her delight. "Well then, if you won't tell me, then I suppose I'll just have to find them myself" she said, turning and scanning the trees, then focusing on a small bright speck in the foliage. "Ah, number one" she hissed in a silky tone. "I'm assuming you conveniently put them together in one place" she said, turning back to the mother raptor with a taunting grin.

The second the tyrannosaurus finished speaking Storm couldn't control herself any longer, not when her hatchlings were now in real danger. Red hot anger flooded Storm's mind and with a screech of anger she flew at the tyrannosaurus, aiming to leap right at it's neck. She didn't even notice as both hatchlings had been terrified by the new large carnivore and their mothers screech. Her focus completly on the danger and not seeing as they darted off together in the direction she had previously been headed.

Makta flinched slightly in surprise as the raptor, in a flash of blinding speed, leapt towards her, colliding with her neck and somehow able to get a hold on the slightly more tender skin flap. With a roar of pure rage, Makta threw her head violently, her tail swinging behind her and crashing into the forest, demolishing the young saplings at the side.

Storm sank her teeth into the softer skin on the Tyrannosaurus's neck, tearing into it as much as she could. Her claws dug into the huge carnivore as she tried to keep her balance through its attempts to dislodge her. After a particularly hard swing of the Tyrannasaurus's head she felt her grip slip, and with a startled yelp she felt herself fly through the air before slamming into a tree with a loud thack. Stunned, she laid limp for a second before forcing herself to stand. Her head spun as she stumbled back to her feet, swaying slightly as she hissed defensively. She would protect her hatchlings, she had to!

Makta snarled with anger as she felt a burning pain on her neck, and she could already feel that the small raptor had caused her to bleed. This could not be tolerated. "FINE" She growled in pure rage "I'll kill you first, and then there'll be nothing and no one to stop me as I go after your tender young morsels you've raised for my teeth" she said, letting out a roar as she suddenly charged towards the raptor, her jaws widening in hopes of a meal.

Storm snarled at the Tyrannasaurus's threat, fear pounding through her as it took almost all her effort to stop her legs from trembling. When the predator charged towards her she darted away as fast as her weak body would let her. She let out a loud screech of pain though as it wasn't fast enough and she felt jaws close around her hind leg. Instinctively she whirled around to claw at the face of the creature biting her.

Makta gave a triumphant growl as her teeth caught the raptor's leg, but it quickly turned to a snarl of pain as the feisty creature spun and began wildly scratching her with her claws. Knowing she'd injured the raptor enough to finish her off, the Tyrannosaurus let go, raising her head high and grinning down at the raptor. "All mine" she hissed coldly, and was about to plunge her jaws down to finish the fight, when a scent caught her nostrils. Immediately she was on alert, straightening up and scenting deeply. No. He was back. Fear struck her for a moment, but soon anger took over. What was he doing in her hunting grounds still? The creature had had plenty of time to get far away during the night, but he was still there. A few moments later, the heavy footsteps were heard, shaking the ground as her own. And then the evil face showed around the bend in the trees. "Golden one, I knew we would meet again" the Giganotosaurus's silky tone slipped out, along with an unsettling smile. His eyes glanced to the side slightly. "My dear, if you wish to use that raptor as your next meal, i would suggest encapturing it swiftly" he remarked. Makta growled angrily. "I'll do what I like with my prey" she answered defensively. "What are you still doing in my territory, I told you to leave last night" she added, taking a large step forward. "My apologies, but it was rather dark and I was rather tired. But fear not, I am not here to overtake your plentiful land, I am just passing through. And see, I have even brought tribute to you, as pay for allowing me to rest the night" he said, his small front claws suddenly uncurling, revealing the hatchlings that lay inside.

Storm lay panting on the ground, her leg now burning with pain. She knew it was over, there was no way she could win now that she could barely move her leg. She clenched her eyes shut as the Tyrannasaurus leaned down to finish her off. Her only thought was she hoped that her hatchlings would forgive her. She waited for a few seconds for everything to go dark, but nothing happened. Then she heard the thumping of heavy footsteps before opening her eyes. The Tyrannasaurus was no longer focused on her, but glaring in the direction of the noise. When Storm spotted the huge creature approaching her eyes widened. As he spoke, Storm started trying to crawl away, hoping to use him as a distraction. When he opened his front claws though she froze, her mind going blank. No, no, no, no, NO! Her heart crumpled in a mess of fear and panic. Both of her hatchlings lay sprawled out in his claws, eyes wide with terror as they trembled. There was nothing she could do! One wrong move and he could just clench his fist, killing both of them. Storm felt defeated, there was nothing she could do. She couldn't even stand. She let her head fall to the ground, not having the energy to try and escape anymore. There was no point, she had lost.

Makta's eyes flashed with hunger as she saw the two morsels in his claws. But she also felt a strange annoyance and unsettledness at the fact that he had caught them. "I don't need help capturing my own prey, and I would have caught those two after, so that really doesn't count as any sort of tribute" she snarled, taking a step forward again. The giganotosaurus dipped his head "My apologies golden one, I see they are not welcome as tribute. I shall use them as mine own meal then, and be on my way" he said, lifting his claws to his mouth. A surge of anger swept through Makta. He would not eat anything on her land. Nothing on her land died without her say so. With a roar she suddenly charged forward, her head ramming the beast's stomach hard. He let out a surprised grunt, his claws jerking open, and the two hatchlings plummeting towards the ground. Without knowing she was doing so, Makta dove downwards, and was rewarded by the feeling of two small weights plopping onto her muzzle. With a quick flick of her head she sent them sliding down her head, neck, and back, landing softly on the ground, and she pushed them out of the two creature's paths with a large swipe of her tail. And then she looked back to the Giganotosaurus, who instead of looking angered, was looking quite shocked. "Golden one, you are as confusing as light upon water. Why have you saved that which you will eat later?" he questioned, eyes narrowing. "Well it's not much of a hunt if they end up smashed on the ground is it" she growled at him, bringing her head back up to full height as she regained a good stance. "Now LEAVE my hunting grounds. You are not welcome here, and never shall be" she hissed. Suddenly the large predator let out a deep throated roar, the like she had never heard before. "THIS IS MY TERRITORY NOW! MINE AND MY PACKS!!!" Makta felt a tinge of fear strike her heart, but she still snarled at him "You have no pack, worthless wanderer" she answered him. In reply he gave her a slithering smile that did not penetrate his eyes. "My one eyed golden beauty, those who created you as such, they are my pack" he hissed maniacally. Makta gasped. The humans. He spoke of the humans. "NO!" she roared "THEY WILL NEVER TAKE MY LAND, THEY HAVE TAKEN EVERYTHING ELSE, BUT MY LAND AND ALL IN IT ARE MINE!" She charged forward as she bugled this, her jaws wide, aiming for his throat. Her speed caught him slightly off guard, and he attempted to lunge to the side, but she still caught the side of his neck, tossing him back and forth before slamming him to the ground, even as his large tail began whipping her, his useless front claws scrabbling against her hard hide. "You really thought i was beatable, just because of my eye? You are the one who is blind" she hissed to him. With a sudden angry snarl he got his back legs underneath her and thrust her off of him with a gigantic movement, she reeling backwards and thudding into the dust as he began moving in, eager to finish it.

Storm's mouth gaped open in shock as the Tyrannosaurus took her hatchlings away from the Giganotosaurus, saving them from certain death and shoving them unharmed out of danger. Why had she done that? There was no time for questions though as Storm stuggled to her feet, hissing in pain as she hobbled to her hatchlings right as the two large beasts charged towards each other. She couldn't put any weight on her injured leg at all, but she hopped as best as she could to her hatchlings and herded them away into the bushes. She shoved them down a shallow den next to a tree and hissed gently at them, "Stay here, do not move at all until I come back for you!" She whispered urgently to them before covering the den up with some fallen leaves and dirt to hide their scents. Once they were secured she hobbled away from them as fast as possible, hoping to draw all the attention away from them once more. Just as she was about to dart back in the woods she glanced behind her and stopped, seeing the giganotosaurus was closing in on the Tyrannosaurus. She hesitated for a split second before groaning to herself and turning to hobble towards the giganotosaurus, whose back was to her. Just as he was about to attack the Tyrannosaurus again she screeched loudly and leaped up onto his hindleg to scramble onto his back, slashing her claws deep into anywhere they found purchase and sinking her fangs into his side.

Makta was flat on her side, and she could see the gleam of death in the Giganotosaurus's eye as he reared his head up, preparing to plunge downwards. Until suddenly he let out an unearthly screech of pain, stumbling backwards in shock and beginning to shake himself, his tail whirling as he spun, twisting his head and trying to snap his jaws at the small creature slashing and biting on his back. Makta gave a gasp of surprise as he did so, then looked even more shocked as the creature that just a few moments ago would have been her meal, attacked the giant predator. Why? She could have escaped... but she was risking her life... to save her? She was astonished, but quickly blinked it off as she realized the small wounded raptor would not be able to keep it up for much longer. With another roar she charged forward, dodging his swinging tail, her jaws heading for his throat.

Storm was questioning her life's choices as she clung to the side of a thrashing giganotosaurus. Even so she dug her claws in as hard as she could. Why was she even helping the Tyrannosaurus? Maybe it was out of gratitude for her hatchlings being saved or just her hatred of the one who had almost ate them but either way she tore into his side. Just as the Tyrannosaurus charged at its neck with gaping jaws Storm felt her grip with her injured leg fail and was flung away with a pained yelp. She slammed into the ground a rolled a few times before coming to a halt, laying there panting and squeezing her eyes shut as pain ran through her body.

The Giganotosaurus fell to the ground with a shaking thud, Makta's jaws around his throat, pressuring swiftly. "WAIT golden one!" The creature rasped out, it's eyes flashing with desperate craze. "I will do as you say... I will leave" he pleaded. She snarled and increased the pressure, and he began coughing. "Let me go and I promise you the humans will never know of your existence" he said suddenly. Her jaws stilled, her mind racing. Was it worth the risk? "I promise, on my word of honor, on my name as Ahriman that I will leave and I will never let them know" he rasped out again, coughing, but keeping still, seeming to feel the thoughts circling her mind. Suddenly Makta let out a ferociously angry snarl, then ripped her teeth away from his neck, making sure to leave gauges as she did so. "Leave. If you break one word of your promise, I will hunt you down and destroy you" she growled, as he scrambled up, one of his front paws hanging loosely, seemingly broken from their struggle. "Ahriman will keep his word, Golden One" he said, almost whining suddenly then spinning and racing into the forest. Seeing him flee she took a large quick step forward, then let out a bugling roar after him, a warning, and a promise. If he ever returned, he would not be so lucky. She stood for a few more moments, watching the path, and listening as the large creature smashed through the forest, leaving destruction in his wake.. but leaving. With a tired growl she turned, and her gaze landed on the raptor, who was laying on the ground, still. Was it dead? She felt a bit of remorse flash through her. "Raptor" she growled suddenly, stepping over to it and leaning down slightly to check if it was breathing or not.

Storm lay panting softly on the ground as she waited for the sharp spike of pain from landing roughly to dissipate enough to be bearable. She didn't even notice the Giganotosaurus's departure or the Tyrannosaurus's approach until the large carnivore was right above her. At the sound of her voice she jerked up, trying to stand only to stumble back to the ground. She hissed up at the tyrannosaurus mainly out of her instincts dislike of a possible threat so close when she couldn't defend herself. She was too exhausted and hurting though for it to sound very menacing.

Makta blinked as the raptor laying before her jerked and hissed weakly. So at least it wasn't dead. "You seem rather wounded" she said bluntly, leaning closer to sniff the creature, then rearing her head back again and looking around. Now what was she supposed to do? She was stuck in the woods with a wounded raptor and two squealing hatchlings. She could just put them all out of their misery and satisfy the hunger that raced through her belly... but as she looked down again at the raptor, she found a sense of grudging respect. It had so much fire, so much will to live... and it had saved her. She gave a frustrated growl, then leaned over the raptor again. "Calm down and try and focus" she growled in annoyance at it's frantic movements. "You're safe for now." she said in a gruff tone, not used to using that word. "You have helped me, and so I owe you a debt. I always pay my debts. But I cannot carry both you and your hatchlings to my domain" she said, her voice still gruff.
