Chloe saw the runway at around 11:25 she pulled her phone back out and texted Molly

Chloe- I see the runway now, you on your way?
Molly- yep, Ellie and I are about 10 mins away
Chloe- ok! can't wait to see you!
Molly- liked the message.
Chloe smiled and put her phone back in her pocket. When the plane finally landed, she unbuckled her seat pelt and grabbed her backpack. When she was almost ready to leave, she started getting off the plane. She passed Austin on the way out. "Bye Austin" she said, "Hope to see you again one day." She got off the plane

Kelley's eyes opened the moment the rear landing gear hit the ground. "Why didn't you wake me when I asked you to?"

"You looked like you could use a little more sleep," Austin announced as he stood up from his seat once they had taxied to the gate. He had decided to stand outside the cockpit as Blake and Cory were giving a child and his father a tour of the cockpit. It could get pretty cramped in there with so many people. His eyes lit up when he saw Chloe. When she said she hoped she would see him again, he reached out and took her arm and pulled her to the other side of the plane. "Maybe I could get your number so I can let you know when I am on my way back. But, like I said, you can walk with me to my next flight if you want. I could get you a coffee after we go through customs." He would do anything he could to stay a little longer with her. His next flight was not for another hour and a half. Or, he could make sure that she got to baggage claim alright. After she had walked away, he looked up and saw Kelly smirking at him from a few seats back after he had helped an elderly couple get their bags out of the overhead compartment. "Shut up, Kelley."

"Hey, I didn't say anything. I just saw you talking to that hot girl," Kelley shrugged as he turned to help some other passengers, but Austin could tell that he was grinning.

“Yea sure” Chloe said, giving him her number. “I’ll wait for you at the gate outside” she said to him. She blushed slightly and then smiled. “Yes!” She whispered under her breath. “I’m gonna marry that man” she suddenly said. “I’m calling it” she smiled and walked out of the plane, waiting for Austin to come off as well. She grabbed her phone out of her pocket and then she texted Molly.

Chloe- hey, so I met this really hot pilot on the plane, and he kinda asked for my number!
Molly- OMG CLO! Did you give it to him?
Chloe- yea, I did.
Molly- then what are you waiting for? Text him!
Chloe- now? He’s not even off the plane yet.
Molly- so what? Just do it! Or I’ll do it for you when I pick you up.
Chloe- fine!!! I’ll do it.
Molly- good
Chloe- 🙄
Molly- 😂😂😂😂😂
Chloe- I’m doing it now
Molly- ok.

Chloe glanced at the gate and still couldn’t see Austin. She went through her phone and found his number. “Now…what do I say?” She asked herself.
Chloe- hey, this is Chloe, the girl you met on the plane

It was hard for Austin to focus during the post-flight briefing, but he did so to the best he could. He had quickly logged the flight time into the logbook before grabbing his bag from the overhead compartment. He then slipped his flight bag over the handle as Kelley followed him up the ramp. He stopped the moment that he heard his phone go off.

"Let me guess, it's that girl you met on the plane?" Kelley asked as he noticed that Austin had stopped.

"And it is important to you who is texting me, why?" Austin teased as he began to message back. Just making my way up the jet bridge as we speak. I should be up there in a few moments. He placed his phone back into his pocket as he looked at Kelley.

"Oh come on, you know just as I do that she was into you. I saw the way she looked at you," Kelley announced as Austin started walking up the bridge. "There is something about the uniform that attracts girls to us. You know it. I know it. The company knows it."

Austin scoffed as he rolled his eyes. He knew Kelley was right about that for a fact. The uniform sometimes did get women looking at him as he walked by. He was sort of a ladies man when it came to him wearing the uniform. But there was something about Chloe that attracted him to her. "Your just jealous that you could not get Andy's attention back there." Thank goodness Kelley was not on his next flight, or else he would not hear the end of it. Exiting the jet bridge, he looked around for Chloe for a moment before spotting her. A smile appearing on his lips as he walked over to her. "Thanks for waiting. I am not keeping you too long, am I?"

“Nope” she said smiling. “My best friend Molly texted me that she hit traffic, so she’ll be about 30 minutes late” Chloe said, smiling. “So…what we doin?” She asked. “I could go with a bite to eat.” Chloe said. Her phone buzzed. “Hold on, it’s probably Molly” she said, reaching into her pocket to take out her phone.

Molly- soooo what did he say?
Chloe- well…we’re going to get food I think.
Molly- OOOOOOOO
Chloe- SHUT UP!! But Mols… I think I’m in love
Molly- oh Clo! That’s amazing! From what you’ve said he sounds amazing. Even though you just met him.
Chloe- oh whatever. See you soon?
Molly- yep!
Chloe put her phone back in her pocket. “Sorry about that” she said. “So, what’s good to eat around her?” She asked, wanting to know his opinion.

Austin looked at his watch for a moment. He had an hour and a half before his next flight. He looked around the terminal for a moment. Pizza sounded good. It was quick enough and nearby his next flight. And it would not take Austin that long to head to the Pilot Lounge to meet up with his next crew. "Why don't we get pizza? I have not had a good slice in a while since I was in New York a few weeks ago." He looked over at Kelley who was speaking with the gate attendant for a moment. He watched as Kelley looked over at him and gave him a double thumbs up. He rolled his eyes for a moment and chuckled. Shut up, Kelley he thought as he led Chloe towards the pizza place in Terminal B. Once they ordered their food and drinks, Austin looked at Chloe. "So, why don't you tell me a little about yourself?"

Chloe nodded. “Ok” she said. When they got to the pizza restaurant, Molly ordered two slices of cheese pizza. Chloe blushed. “Well….I’m 23, I live with my best friend. I have a 8 month old puppy named Ellie. I have an older brother, who always protects me, no matter what.” She continued. “I grew up in San Antonio, about. 30 mins from here.” Chloe looked at him, then knew she had to add. “I’m single, and I’m waiting to find the right person for me” she said, looking at him, smiling slightly. Chloe looked at her watch. Noon. She finished eating her pizza and then drank her sprite. “Your turn” she said, laughing.

Because he was a pilot, he was able to get a discount on the food. Once Chloe told himself about her, he thought for a moment about what he was going to say. "Well, I am 25, obviously I have a good job as being a Captain for one of the safest airlines in the world. I happen to be one of the youngest Capitan's in the business. I live in Fredericksburg, Texas, which is about an hour from here. I help my Pop on his ranch when I am not flying. Don't worry, I have my own place on his ranch. I have an older sister named Lauren, who just got married a few months ago." There was no way that he would bring up his brother, Jason. He flaked out on the ranch as soon as he turned 18. Said that the ranch life was not for him. Anytime he had to go to New York, he would avoid the area he knew his brother would be in like the plague. "Pretty much all there is you might need to know about me. Oh, I did get my pilot's license when I was 16, and started for my ATP..." he stopped in case she did not understand what ATP stood for. "My Airline Transport Pilot license when I was 18 and started working here since I was 20."

Chloe smiled. “That’s cool” she said. Chloe looked at him. “Hey…question for you” she looked down and then at Austin. “Would you…maybe want to go out with me when you get back?” She asked. “If you’re not interested…that’s totally fine” she said. Chloe looked down at her phone to check where Molly was. Chloe sighed. “Oh, shoot” she said. “I’m so sorry” she stood up and grabbed her bag. “It’s just…Mollys here…and…I don’t want to keep her waiting.” She said. Chloe turned to leave, then she turned around again, stepped forward and kissed Austin. “I’ll text you” she said. Chloe turned around and smiled, as she walked to the baggage claim. She grabbed her bag and headed outside.

“CHLOE!!” Molly said, running towards her, arms wide open. Chloe threw her arms around her best friend. “I missed you” she said. A bark broke her away from Molly. “Hi Ellie!” Chloe leaned down and rubbed her behind her ears. “Alright” Molly said. “Let’s get going.” She handed Ellie’s leash to Chloe and out her bag in the car. Chloe put Ellie in the back seat of Mollys car and she got in the front seat of her car. “So who you texting?” She asked. “Austin” Chloe said. “Ooo the hit pilot?” She asked. “I kinda kissed him” she said. “You did what?” Molly looked at her. “I kissed him” she said. “Omg…what did he say?” Molly looked down. “Nothing…I left before he could..I’m texting him now though”

Austin's eyes widened when Chloe kissed him. He was in shock to say anything before she said she had to go meet her ride. He heard his phone go off before he could take the last bite of his pizza. he read what she had said. A smile soon appeared on his face as he texted back to her. No worries. A little warning would have been nice though. Too bad you had to leave, or else I would have escorted you out to the arrivals myself. I know all the secret passageways to get there faster😉 He then sent the message and then began to text her again. Here, let me send a pic of myself so you can show off to your friend who you are talking to Austin rummaged through his phone for his favorite picture of himself. It was of himself standing before a Boeing 737 Max with his reflective vest that pilots had to wear when on the ramp and sunglasses on. It was a picture that he sent his grandfather as he wanted to see the plane that he was flying.

“This is him” Chloe said showing Molly the picture when they were at the light. “Ooo you were right! He is hot!” Molly said. “Back of Mols! He’s mine” she said jokingly. Molly rolled her eyes and turned on the radio. “oh did you hear the new song By Dove Cameron?” Chloe asked. “You mean Lethal Woman? One of her best songs right now?” Molly turned on the song and they jammed out to it. “Omg!! I love this song!” Molly said, laughing, singing along. Molly pulled into their driveway, and helped Chloe get her things out of the car. She yawned. “I’m so jetlagged!” Chloe said. “Go get some sleep Clo, I’ll get food” Chloe nodded and whistled to Ellie. Ellie followed her to her room. Chloe closed the door and she texted Austin back.

Chloe- I’m home if you want to call. I do really want to go out with you. I really like you

Austin had just entered the cockpit of the Boeing 737 Max 8 as he felt his phone vibrate in his pocket. He reached for his phone as he sat down in the left seat and read her message. He was flying with an older first officer named Greg Harmon who was sitting in the right seat as they were about to start the pre-flight check. I would call you right now, but I am in the cockpit of my next flight. I can message you once we are past 10,000 feet though. He placed his phone back into his pocket as he put his flight bag right next to him and began the checks needed.

"You went out and did the inspection of the plane?" Austin asked the first officer.

"I did, Capitan. Everything looks perfect for takeoff. She does not have a scratch on her," Greg announced as he pulled on his harness.

Chloe sighed. She turned in the tv in her room and got under her covers. She placed her hand in Ellie’s back and Ellie came snuggling up next to Chloe. The feeling of her puppy’s breathing, the sound of her tv, and the smell of her room, Chloe slowly fell asleep. When she woke up, it was around 3:45. Molly knocked on the door. “Hey” she said, opening the door. “I was thinking, we could head over to my parents ranch and ride our horses” Molly said. Chloe instantly sat up. “Uhm yes! I’m dying to see beauty!” She said, instantly getting out of bed to get her riding outfit on. “You drive, I wanna text Austin” Molly rolled her eyes but nodded.

The takeoff was pretty uneventful, but he was happy that he was doing the flying this time. As soon as the plane reached about 10,000 feet, he turned his phone (which was on airplane mode) and found Chloe in her Facebook Messenger since Texting would not be a good idea at this time. He sent her an friend invite before sending another message. He quickly sent a picture of the desert below with the clouds below him. It was almost like a postcard as they flew over Texas and into New Mexico. I should be able to call you once I land in LA to see how you are doing. Don't be mad if I do not message you back right away as I have my duties up here. He placed his phone back into his pocket before turning the knob on the autopilot to the correct setting as they began their first bank towards Albuquerque."

Chloe glanced at her phone. “Oh new friend invite on Facebook” chloe opened it. “OH MY GOD!” Molly slammed on the breaks. “What?” She asked. “Austin friended me on Facebook!” She said. “Girl, chill out.” Molly said with a sigh as she continued driving. Chloe laughed and accepted his friend request. When they pulled into Mollys parents ranch driveway, Chloe got out of the car and went over to the fence. She whistled. “BEAUTY!!” She heard a neigh and saw beauty come galloping towards her. Chloe took a video on her phone as she came towards her. “Hi girl” Chloe said, ribbing her horses nose. She sent the video to Austin on Facebook and grabbed beautys halter, leaning her into the barn
