Austin finally nodded. "I can not talk either of you out of it. So, yes. Go ahead and call them."
"It will be good to have some foals around here. We had a couple mares when Austin was younger, but we got out of the breeding business because we got into the meat business," Elizabeth announced a moment later. She watched the filly. "Keep an eye on Star to make sure she delivers the placenta. If not delivered in 3 hours, we are going to have to call the vet to come out."
"I think Molly and Chloe will be out here for a while. So they will let me know if we need to call the vet," Austin said before he kissed his grandmother on the cheek. "Why don't you go with Pop. I am sure he is wondering where you are."
'Of course. I need to get started on some laundry since I have just pulled some warm blankets out of storage for the winter. We may need them should we get some storms. We may be in the Texas Hill Country, but we can get some nasty storms in the area," Elizabeth announced as she headed towards the entrance of the barn.

Molly laughed. “Yes, we will be out here for a while” she said. “Oh, I’ve decided on a name” Chloe said. “Ya know, for the foal” she said. “Surprise me Later, barn name, Milly” she said. Molly hugged Chloe. “I’ll call my parents about Rose and Penelope” she said going to the tack room. A few minutes later, she came back. “My parents said they can trailer rose and Penelope down now, but we need to get two stalls ready” Molly said, with a huge smile. Chloe smiled as well. “Thank you” she said to Austin, hugging him again. “If you have anything else to do, I’ll be here, keeping an eye on Star.” Chloe said, two seconds later Molly looked in. “We don’t need to keep an eye on Star, she’s fine. She passed it” Molly said. Chloe nodded. “Alright, let’s get ready for Rose and Penelope”

Austin had a few things to take care of in town since he needed to go pick up some straw since they were low. Austin whistled to Maverick who came running up to the truck and jumped into the back seat. He made his way back to the barn for a moment to let Chloe and Molly know that he needed to run to town. "Chloe, Molly, I am gonna run to town to grab some straw. I will be back in about 45 minutes. How long till Molly's parents get here?" Austin asked as he looked at the two girls.

“About an hour and 30” Molly said, remembering how long it took to get to her place and back. “Oh just wait till you see the, Austin, they’re so sweet” chloe said, remembering the two sweet mares. She kissed Austin and said. “Can you take Ellie with you?” She asked. “Molly and I will be getting Rose and Penelope’s stall ready, and Ellie will get super bored” chloe said. “And you know how much she loves riding in your truck, and Maverick and you” she said with a smile. “So, ya think you can take her with you so she doesn’t sit around and watch us get stalls ready, cause you know better than anyone that when a dog has to watch her owner get stalls ready, it’s quite boring” Chloe said, laughing.

"Sure. I am also going to pick up something for all of us for lunch, as well," Austin announced as he thought about how his grandfather loved a good burger. So Austin was going to make a call to a bar and grill with an order. By the time he was done at the feed store, the order would most likely be ready. "I am going to stop by the Bar and Grill and pick up something. Is there anything you want specifically?"

“Well, you remember what I got on our second date?” She asked. “If not, I’ll take a cheeseburger with fries, oh and absolutely NO pickles” Chloe said. “I hate pickles” she said. “Im going to get started” Molly said. Chloe nodded. “Ok, I’ll be right there” Chloe said. “And could you also get me a sprite with that?” She asked Austin, kissing him before she headed into the barn. “Can I do Roses stall?” Chloe asked. Molly laughed. “Duh, you love her, and my parents already agreed that she could be your horse, you know that” Chloe nodded. “I know. And I think I would like that” Chloe admitted. Molly nodded. “I’ll let my parents know when they get here” she said. “Oh and I’ve ordered custom stall name plates for Lightning, Starfire, beauty, and Athena. And I’ll order one for rose and Penelope.” Chloe said. Molly nodded and started adding bedding to Penelope’s stall while Chloe added bedding to roses stall.

Austin nodded as he whistled to Ellie. He headed to his truck and opened the door to the back seat so that Ellie could jump up. He then got into the drivers seat and started his truck before heading down the driveway. After about an hour, Austin returned with the bed of his truck loaded with straw. He figured that after lunch, he would put away the straw. He got out of the truck as he called his grandparents so that they could come eat lunch at his place. "So, how are the stalls getting along?" Austin asked as they all sat around the table in his house.

“Good” Chloe said. “I’ve ordered custom stall name plates for each of the new horses, and once we see how far along they are, well add straw to their stalls if they are ready to give birth any day” Chloe said as she ate her burger. “This is sooo good” she said smiling. Just then, Mollys phone went off. “My parents are here” she said, standing up. “You ready, Clo?” She asked. Chloe nodded and then looked at Austin. “Are you ready?” She asked.

Austin used his napkin before he stood up and nodded. "Yeah, I am," he said as he watched his grandparents stand as well. They all went outside to see a truck and trailer puling up to the barn. He could see two horses in the trailer. Walking over to the back, he helped by opening the ramp of the trailer so that Chloe and Molly could bring the horses in. He saw a very pretty dapple grey mare as she looked at him from inside the trailer. She was a very good looking quarter horse mare. He could not wait to see what she could produce. His favorite color horses were roans and duns. So, hopefully one of them was covered by a dun or a roan stallion.

Chloe walked into the trailer and smiled when she saw Rose. “Hey Rosie girl” she said, rubbing Roses nose. Rose nudged her and Chloe laughed. When she lead Rose out of the trailer she stopped. “So, Molly brought up you giving me rose again” she said, “and, I do really love this horse, so can I?” She asked. “Yes of course Clo!” Mollys mother said, hugging her. “And were so glad you girls get to have them” she said, kissing Mollys head. “Let us know if there’s anything we can do” her dad added. Chloe smiled. “Thanks mom, thanks dad” Molly said. She hugged her parents and waved goodbye when they left. “Ok, so they don’t seem to be to fat along, so we don’t need to put straw in their stalls just yet” Chloe said as she lead Rose to her new stall. When she got there, she took off her halter and kissed her nose. “I really do love this horse” she said. Molly smiled. “I know” she said.

Walking into the barn after Molly's parents had left, Austin stopped at Penelope's stall to give her a scratch on the neck before walking over to Rose's stall. He instantly regretted gelding Twister. But he knew the reason why he did so was safety. Twister often was territorial with other horses, especially other male horses and would try to attack any stallion or gelding that came near him. One day after he made his way into a nearby pasture with a gelding, Austin watched as Twister jumped the fence and tried to attack the gelding, leaving him with a fractured left arm and a few bruises.
"Too bad Twister is gelded. I would have loved to see what he would have produced," Austin said. Twister was still a little moody when it came to other horses, but not as bad as he was when he was a stallion.

“He would’ve made great offspring” Chloe said. “I’ve missed her so much” Chloe said, rubbing her hand along Rose. “She and I…we have a special connection, kind of like me a beauty. Except me and beauty actually have a stronger connection. That’s not the point. Rose trusts me and I’m the only one who ever calls her Rosie. It’s like her special nickname I have for her” Chloe said with a smile. She kissed Roses nose again. “So, what do you think about her?” Chloe asked Austin, petting rose again.
(Last post for the night, I went to bed wayyy to late last night and I’m so tired)

"She is a pretty good looking horse, if i don't say so myself. I also have to say I am impressed with Penelope as well," Austin announced as he watched Rose for a moment. "Why don't you get these two settled down. I have to put away the straw anyways. Might as well get that out of the way before I finish my lunch," Austin announced as he went to the tack room to grab a pair of work gloves. He then headed to his truck where the straw was waiting and opened the bed. Pulling each bale of straw out, he took them into them into the feed room where he could stack them against the wall until he could get them in the loft. The doctor had told him that he was able to carry a bit more heavier items and that soon he would be able to carry on with his normal load of work.

Chloe nodded and grabbed the two buckets that was in Rose's stall. She filled one up with feed and the other up with water, and Molly did the same for Penelope. She put the water bucket back in Rose's stall first as it was the heaviest, and then she put the feed bucket. Rose went over to the water bucket and started drinking some water, then she ate some food. "We can put them out in the paddock with the other mares tommrow as they aren't to far along, but I want to get them settled first" Molly said, rubbing Penelope's neck. "did you miss me girl?" she asked, Penelope nudged Molly and Molly laughed. "I'd take that as a yes" Chloe said laughing when Rose nudged her as well

Once the straw was put away, Austin had to take a moment to make sure that his shoulder was okay as this was the first time that he was carrying heavier objects. It felt good to be able to get back to a mostly normal life now since the crash. He shut the door to the feed room and went back out to the main area of the barn. Looking at his watch, Austin walked to the main house to finish his lunch with his grandparents. He did have to reheat everything in the microwave, but it still tasted good. He talked to his Gran about his decision to get Chloe a promise ring as he was not ready to ask her to marry him yet. He wanted her to know that one day, he would ask her. She agreed that it was a good idea. He figured on the next trip that he would find a jewelry story to find one for her.
