Tenebria
Finally the owner came out of the barn, and Magpie followed the cues from the boy, moving up to a gait, then a canter. It was pleasant to be ridden by such a good rider, she thought happily as they moved in rhythm around the arena. The owner had him continue for a few more minutes, then had him work on his patterns. Magpie flicked her ears back to her rider, listening intently for instructions as to when to change gaits, or leads. After 20 minutes of pattern work the boy cued her to slow to a regular walk, signaling the end of the lesson. She snorted, tossing her mane. She wanted to continue, but he had already hopped off her and begun leading her back to the barn. Reluctantly she clopped along behind him, entering the barn and whinnying a greeting to her sister as he tied her up

Rose nickered back to her sister. "How was the lesson oh and I found out we get to go on walks as I need to stretch my legs," Rose said. "It's the vet's orders and the vet is coming tomorrow" Rose added

Magpie smiled, but toned down the lesson. "Oh it was ok i guess, he's definitely gotten better with his balance since he last rode me" she said, bending her head so he could get the halter on. It only took the boy a few minutes to get her untacked, and the owner led her back to her stall and released her. Immediately she moved over to the stall opening so she could look over at her sister. "At least you won't be pent up in here for ages then!" she said.

"That is good at least. He need a lot of work on his balance when he last rode me" Rose said watching as the boy lead her to the wash stall and untacked her before handing her off to their owner. "Yeah I know but I enjoy getting to sleep longer it is very nice to be able to get a lot of rest. Except I hear everything and tomorrow we go out in the pasture well me and we all know the owner doesn't want us to get separated so you get to go with me but the owner said only 10 minutes due to my leg." Rose said looking at her sister.

Magpie smiled at her sister "Well that will be nice to get out there again together, even if it is for a short time!" She nickered, turning her head in interest as the owner rolled open her stall door and tossed a flake of hay in. Moving over to it she grabbed a bunch and began chomping, ears swiveling in the direction of her sister.

"Yeah and at least I will be able to move around for a bit those walks are not fun we just walk around the barn or go down the pasture path before returning and I cant have treats because according to the owner I need to stay fit for when my leg is healed I will go back into doing lessons," Rose said to her sister who the owner was giving a flake of hay to. As soon as the owner opened the door she took a step back so he can put it in her favorite part of her stall in the corner which she always kept clean just for her hay. She waited for the owner to leave before beginning to eat.

Magpie looked up at nodded "Yeah, it must be annoying to be cooped up. But you should probably be careful when we go out and not exert it too much" she said as an after thought. "You'd better hurry and get better though, i can't give all the lessons by myself!" she nickered jokingly.

“Nope it’s not boring one but I hear everything and I distract my self.” Rose said before continuing to eat her hay. “Hey I’m not even sure I will be used for lessons a bit after my leg is healed so your gonna have to do the lessons longer and I’m sure the owner will end up buying another lesson pony heard him talking with someone about buying another pony for lessons. Apparently it’s a dapple grey.” Rose said before taking a long sip of her water she was sad she couldn’t do lessons but she deserved the break she was a good lesson pony for experienced riders and beginners and paid the most attention to cues and payed a lot of attention to the owner and what he wanted.

"Well that's good at least" Magpie nickered, glancing up again and snorting "Ha, well i hope this lesson pony can keep up with me" she said, half pretendedly as she tossed her mane. It would honestly be hard to replace her sister during lessons though, they always worked so well together!

¨Yeah but I'm also pretty sure they're around 4-9 years old from what I overheard."Rose said looking at her sister before taking a large sip of water. But don't worry they probably won't be able to replace us we are the best lesson ponies here anyway." Rose added

Rose watched as the owner appeared to bring them outside for a few minutes as Rose had overheard a bit ago about a storm and that the horses should get a few minutes to graze and get some grass.

Magpie waited impatiently for the owner to come get her and take her outside, even if it was going to be for only a few minutes. When she got outside she trotted over to her sister. "It's a pity we won't be able to race for a while" she commented as she dropped her head to snatch up the green grass.

Rose was brought outside and put in the pasture as soon as she was brought into the pasture she waited by the pasture gate for her sister. She watched as her sister appeared. ¨Ÿeah but once I get better we could race all we want in the meantime I cant race and run very much" Rose said before lowering her head and eating some green grass.

Magpie nodded "True" she agreed, then focused on munching the grass as fast as she could before the owner came back.
