Breck closed sorya's door and walked to the drivers side and got in. "Your Welcome and maybe someday when I don't have games or practices. You should meet my dog Bauer he is spoiled by the entire hockey team so he goes with on games and goes to practices to he mostly collects the pucks or sleeps or is just chasing my teammates on the ice." Breck said while putting on his seat belt and driving towards the place where sorya wanted to eat.

"Aw, I love dogs. My dad has a dog back home. His name is Blaze. He is a border collie that my dad uses for herding the cows and horses. I miss him. He liked to sleep on my bed with me at night when I was younger. I loved it because when there was thunderstorms back in Oklahoma, I would just hold onto Blaze and feel safe. I still hate thunderstorms, but I guess I got kind of used to them after a while as I grew up," Sorya explained as she looked at some of the buildings as they passed through town. It reminded her of Elk City a little. She missed home and wanted to go back for a visit when she had time. But now she was so busy with taking care of the stables she was afraid of not being able to find the time to go back home for a visit.

"Good then you will love Bauer also he is very spoiled and always rides passenger so when your riding with me he might be angry and bark at you as your in his seat but he will be fine in the back he will just be very cranky and I mean very" Breck said since if he drove sorya with him to his games and practices he would have sorya be in the passenger and Bauer be in the back it would be easier than way.

"I'll try and make time to go with you. But I got to remember that I have riding lessons I have to teach a few times a week. I also have to go pick up a horse from the airport for a boarder in a few days," Sorya announced as she tried to juggle around her schedule in her head. She was used to being busy as back at the ranch, she had to juggle both school, barn chores, and training horses with her dad. But there seemed to be a lot more things that she had to take care of now that she owned her own stable. She took a moment to think and then nodded. "I am pretty sure I can come tomorrow as I do not have any lessons to give."

"I can help with the lessons I'm a good lesson instructor. And the practices aren't even practices have the time there meeting and we learn a bit about how the color team plays." Breck said parking the car in an empty parking spot and grabbing sorya's hand. "If you need help with anything else you can ask me I was pretty much your aunt's favorite lesson kid." Breck said.

Sorya looked down at her hand as Breck took it. She wanted to pull it away as she was not sure how he felt about her. But something about him holding her hand felt...wonderful. Do I kiss him? she thought as she looked at her hand and then back at Breck. She almost had the urge to but decided not to. It would probably upset him. So, she let him hold her hand as she smiled. "My aunt never really came to visit me much growing up. She was always busy here at the stables before her diagnosis. She closed her eyes for a moment as she smiled. I still remember the day she came by to tell us the news," Sorya said as she finally opened them.
It was about 7pm as Sorya and her family were about to sit down at the dinner table as Alice was just finishing up dinner. A knock at the door caused Sorya to jump in her seat. Lane stood up from his seat as he walked down the hall to the front door and answered it. Sorya could not hear what was being said, but a few minutes later her aunt walked in.
"Aunt Teresa? What are you doing here?" Sorya asked as she looked at her aunt. It was rare that her aunt came to visit. She was wearing a blue knit sweater with a pair of black jeans and ankle boots. Her blonde hair was pulled back into a low ponytail. She looked just like her mother as Aunt Teresa was Alice's older sister.
"I need to talk to you about something. Is Alice here?" Teresa asked as she sat down at the table across from Sorya.
"Alice, you sister is here. She needs to talk to us," Lane called down the hall.
A moment later, Alice appeared in the doorway carrying a tray of food. She almost dropped it when she saw her sister, but Lane was able to catch the tray before she could drop it. "Teresa, what are you doing here? I thought you had your stable to run in Virginia?"
At that moment, Sorya looked at her Aunt and noticed that her skin looked almost dull. It had lost its luster as if she was sick. Her eyes looked tired and red as if she had been crying before she had walked in.
"I have some bad news, Sis...I found out that I have a tumor in my brain that is inoperable. It is stage 4 and there is nothing that the doctors can do. I only have 6 months left."
Alice's face went gaunt as she almost fell to the ground at the news. She instantly walked over to her sister and hugged her. Tears and soft cries could be heard as Alice and Teresa never said a word.
Sorya felt like a Mac truck had hit her from straight on. She was about to say something when Teresa finally pulled herself from her sister. "I am putting in my will that Sorya is to receive everything. My estate, my money, everything once I am gone...."
Sorya took a moment to realize that they were still sitting in the truck with Breck. She shook her head as she realized what they had come to the restaurant for. She slowly pulled her hand from Breck's. "Thank you for the offer. I will take you up on it some time. It may help."

"It's sad when a family members die she always said she didnt have favorite but she did I happened to be one of them. I remember her talking about you alot and she made us promise that we would let you feel welcome at the stables" Breck said to sorya. Ever since sorya came that stables really wasn't the same that much a few of the amazing lesson ponies were still there and loved being patted and stealing food. "Shall we go in now or do we wanna sit in this truck forever" Breck said looking at sorya in the eyes waiting for a response.

Sorya nodded as she opened the door of the truck and got out. She felt her stomach growl as she stepped out. When they got in and seated, Sorya started looking at the menu after ordering some sweet tea to remind her of home. After a few moments, Sorya placed her menu down to look at Breck. "I know that I am not going to replace my Aunt Teresa. And I want to apologize if anything has changed since I have taken over. I want Emerald Valley to stay the same as it was before my aunt passed away. I want to know what I can do to make that feeling come back if anyone has lost it," Sorya explained, hanging her head low for a moment.

"Hey we just want emerald and valley back they were these two Frisians your aunt had before she ended up selling them to some lady and when you arrived with your Frisian it reminded everyone of emerald and valley. But there probably in a different country at this point. I am pretty sure I still have a photo of them" Breck said he ordered a water which was what he typically ordered he did drink pop/soda what ever you want to call it he didn't drink it often tho. He pulled out his phone and started looking through his photos trying to find Emerald and Valleys Photo."Here they are two spoiled rotten Frisians who love food and on trail rides will try and eat everything " Breck said handing his phone to sorya so she could see the photo.

Sorya thought for a moment as she remembered seeing a bill of sale in the office for two Friesian horses being sold. She did not know that her aunt had Friesian's. Looking at her tea for a moment, she finally had an idea. "What if I track them down? I still have the bill of sale in the office. I can call the number on it and see if the person is willing to sell them back. If not, I can try and find some new Friesian horses that we can have at the stable." She hoped it would be a good idea. But if not, she wanted to make things right at the stable. She had seen a lot of people stopping by Midnight's stall a lot. She just thought it was people who had never gotten to see a Friesian up close. So, she never really thought of it until now. She wanted to bring some of that magic back to the stable. To make it feel like home again for everyone.

"You can try but sometimes horses get bought by someone then sold again." Breck said to sorya emerald and valley were everyone's favorite horses the barn had they even had there own Instagram account that went famous cus the two horses were very good and always stayed in sync they did drive a carriage sometimes but not often. Breck wasn't hungry as he normally didn't eat lunch due to a lot of practices in the noon. "When your done we can go to the stable and i can show you how to tack up in English and ride in English" Breck said typically he would use a different horse when helping with lessons but axel was verycwlm and careful around people.

"I will try my best. But I can't promise that I will be able to find them," Sorya announced as she looked to the waitress and ordered a bacon ranch burger with some fries. The waitress nodded as she turned away. She looked down at her tea as she wondered what her family was up to. Her brother Luke was probably busy helping her dad around the ranch. Her mom was probably at work at the hospital in Elk City as she was a pediatric nurse. She normally had never been away from her family for this long. But this was a new journey. She could not let her homesickness could not let her ruin what she had here. She took a deep breath as she finally smiled. "I was wondering maybe I could teach you one day about western riding. We can make it a deal. I can teach you western riding and you teach me how jump and ride English."

"I will help look with you to find them" Breck said. He received a text message from his coach about the new players and when they will be practicing so they would be jealous of all the pro members on the team. "Alright but you really wanna do jumping it's hard there's someone to think off when jumping." Breck said to sorya it took him a few years to even be able to jump a horse over high jumps.

"We don't have to start with jumps right away. Let's just start with the English basics. Once I feel comfortable enough and ready, we can move onto jumping," Sorya thought out loud as she knew that going straight to jumping would not be the right thing to do. She did not want to injure herself again like she did before. She just wanted to take it nice and slow. "Besides, I don't need to be in the hospital too many times this week. Once is enough." She had to laugh at herself as the waitress soon came back with her food. She noticed that there were a lot of fries and asked for some ranch on the side. The waitress soon came back with her ranch as Sorya looked at Brent. "I appreciate you helping me find the horses. They must mean everything to the stable."

"Ok just warning you it takes lot of practice and hard work and lots of dedication to jump" Breck said to sorya. "I've been there plenty of times because of hockey I'm practically there every week and after every game" Breck said he got hurt a lot in hockey but he still played it as it was quite fun. "They mean way more than you think to the barn most riders who have been here a long time probably rode them 10+ times only with permission from your aunt." Breck said while looking at the time on his phone.
