Vanorr gave a friendly smile as he saw Froedi appear from the darkness. Walking up to him, he returned the light bow. "My friend, it is good to see you once again, although I wish it was under better circumstances" he said as Einvaldr and Faraya followed him, bowing lightly to the Clan Alpha and his followers as well. "I am pleased that our High Alpha has partnered us together for the time being, as old times" he said his strong energetic voice.

''I am of the same mind,'' answered Froedi, chuckling a little, as nearly forgotten memories resurfaced themselves. ''Have you any suggestions as to how we should rescue this boy? I know that our high alpha is sending scouts to gain more information, but I think we should at least come up with a base plan that we are able to bend once we have obtained more facts.''

Vanorr gave a light laugh at his friend's chuckle, then gave a slight nod "I did have some thoughts on the matter." he said, "And a base plan is quite a good start. As we do not know where the boy is being held, it does make choosing our rescue party a bit more difficult. I do have many wolves that are skilled, but I must also choose those that have a more gentle approach, considering we are rescuing a young human. I can imagine that he would not necessarily feel joy to see four wolves stalking up to him, especially as he will most likely be unable to communicate with us in our manner" he said, then looked thoughtful again. "But, regardless of who is chosen, I think the main facts of the matter are these. It will most likely take the scouts at least a day or two to find the boy's location. And once they have found him, we must give them time to return, and communicate with all the packs, since we must all be in accordance. From the point in which our rescue party and the distraction group leaves, to when they return, is fairly simple. Sneak in, cut the boy's ropes, and sneak him out, and bring him directly to the High Alpha, so as not to give the elves time to reclaim him. We must keep our scouts prepared to run with messages day and night, for communication will no doubt be vital in this endeavor" he said as he spoke his thoughts. "What thoughts do you have on the matter?" he questioned Froedi.

Froedi listened listened carefully to all Vanorr had to say, and thought everything sensible and well thought out, except his last statement. ''I do not think that it will all be that simple. They will most likely have at least one guard, and with what shall we cut him from his bonds? What if the boy, for some strange reason, is unable or to weak to come with us or is afraid. What if the elves return too early from the chase and begin pursuing us. A mere human boy can in no way out run an elf. These minute details we must pay especial thought to, for the are what make or break a plan. Another important point are the wolves we choose. Have you any thought of who you will send?''

Vanorr frowned as the his fellow Clan Alpha pointed out, as usual, the flaws to the end of his plan. "Hmmm I see, I did not think of all that" he said, thinking for a few moments. "If there is a guard, this means that the wolves, or at least one of them, must not only be gentle, swift, and quiet, but also strong and able to fight. As for the bonds, will our teeth not be sharp enough?" he said with a slight glint in his eye as he grinned, displaying his own set of ominous fangs. "If the boy is weak, they must be able to carry him, or perhaps pull him. Although that would be not very useful" he admitted with another annoyed frown at this detail. "Perhaps they could find a safe place close by the area to hide with him for a few moments before the other party of wolves come, and they can all help to support and speed the boy back to us?" he suggested. At Froedi's last words, he looked thoughtful once more "I do have one wolf in mind, she is swift, despite an injury, quite wise for our clan, and is my best camouflager." he paused, glancing at the two wolves behind him before speaking her name "Vaskra. I know, she is a mentor, but her age has not impeded her strength or cunning" he said quickly. Einvaldr frowned slightly at this idea. His Alpha had not spoken of this. What would happen to Alistra if her mentor was wounded, or captured? He could not vouch for her to keep her head in such a situation. "My liege, if I may, what of Alistra?" he finally asked, stepping forward and bowing low. Vanorr looked over in slight suprise. "My loyal warrior, I have thought of that. Perhaps... perhaps it would be a good learning experience for Alistra if she accompanied her mentor on this rescue mission? As young as she is, she is quite the swift, competent young wolf, and she is also quite an expert at camouflage" he explained as he turned back to Froedi for his opinion.

Hmmm that is an interesting suggestion, I do, in fact, to have a young wolf, in my clan, who is showing a high level of potential.'' Froedi said turning his head slightly to view Esoom and Lanaria. After some thought he spoke again, ''yes, --yes, I think that it could work, but ,of course only with the consent of their parents.'' He looked first at Esoom and Lanaria, then turned his keen gaze to Einvaldr and Faraya.
Esoom looked at his mate she saw worry in her blue eyes, but both knew they could not harbor their young son forever. After she nodded Esoom stepped forward bowed and spoke for the both of them, ''Alpha Froedi, Alpha Vanorr, we are both honored to offer our son to your service.'' He bowed again then stood tall and proud against the moonlit sky, Lanaria too straightened, at his words.

Vanorr nodded to the wolves, grateful that they would let their son join the rescue mission, then he turned to the two behind him. "And you two, will you let your daughter join the mission?" he asked gravely. Einvaldr turned to his mate, nuzzling her. "Shall we let her go? It would be dangerous..." he trailed off, worry for his daughter in his tone. Faraya closed her eyes for a moment, then opened them, nuzzling him in return. "It is right and true, and she will learn patience and courage" she said softly. "I do not want to let her go, but knowing that Vaskra will be there means she will be safe. As long as she listens" she said. Einvaldr nodded after a few moments, still reluctant, but knowing it would be good, and knowing she was needed. His daughter was special, as a father he believed that strongly. Turning to the two Alpha's he bowed "Alpha Vanorr, Alpha Froedi, we are also honored and prepared to let our daughter join this mission" he said, bowing once more and standing beside his mate as Faraya nodded, her orange eyes glowing with pride for their daughter.
Vanorr smiled to them both, inclining his head slightly in gratefulness before looking back to Alpha Froedi. "So we have three, as I know Alistra's mentor will surely agree to go as well. Have you one more to go with your young wolf?" he asked.

Froedi looked thoughtful for a moment. He did not think that Greynan, Enilair's mentor, would be suitable. Greynan was more a wolf of thought than action, no he would not do. But who should go instead? Grthmé One-Eye suddenly came to mind, he was an instinctive and battle wise warrior who knew the woods well, and had first hand knowledge of the elvish wiles. ''He looked suddenly at Vanorr, ''there is one who comes to mind,'' he turned and looked at the old, battle stained wolf behind him, ''would you accept this mission?'' Grthmé stepped forward and bowed stiffly, ''I am yours to command, my alpha,'' he answered in his deep, gravely voice. ''Thank you, Grthmé,'' Froedi said as the grey wolf retreated back into the shadows. Turning to Vanorr he said, Think you there is anything we missed?''

Vanorr gave a slight inclining of his head to the older wolf, pleased with his fellow alpha's choice. "Ah good, that is settled then" he said, then thought for a moment "I believe we have thought of all that we could possibly think of at this time, although I will say that communications with all four clans will have to be very swift and precise, or we shall never get to the same place at the same time" he said with a slight frown as he glanced over to where Clan Styrkr and Kvikr were discussing with of their warriors were fastest and strongest.

Froedi followed his friend's gaze, a thought suddenly struck him. Turning back to the alpha standing across from him, he asked, ''why not use Dreki?''

Vanorr grimaced slightly "Dreki are very... unreliable" he said, finding the right word. "But they are faster than a wolf, if they don't get distracted on the way. I suppose I could see if our healer has any of the more obedient Dreki. I definitely don't have a better idea than that" he said, warming to the plan. "Shall we discuss it with the other two as well? I can almost guarantee you they have given no thought to communication." he said with a slight grin.

Froedi smiled at Vanorr's joke, and nodded. He turned to the wolves behind his and said, ''you do not have to come with us, we will not be long. He began walking toward the two alphas conversing a little ways away. Behind him Hadara and Titindar, the youngest of the five Visdomr wolves, shared a secret smile, they knew what there alpha meant when he said he was to have a short discussion it.

Vanorr gave a backwards motion with his head, indicating for his own two guards to remain where they were as well as he padded past the group, catching up with Alpha Froedi as they headed towards the two Clans.
Alpha Regin at that moment, was attempting to prove that the five warriors he was choosing would be fit for the job. "Astra and Kayda work extremely well together, I don't think it matters if they aren't necessarily fast, they certainly make up for it with their strength" he said, slightly proudly as his own strong muscles rippled under his fur, completely oblivious to the two Alphas walking towards them.

Flyja looked at him with annoyance, her expression matched her voice as she answered, ''we are not going to war Regin, at least not yet, this is a mission to lead a away a group of elves, strength does not counter arrows, our wolves will need to run, run fast,'' Flyja made sure to place extra emphasis on the last word. The two stopped suddenly when they heard quiet paw steps approaching them. They bowed slightly. Froedi answered their bow and spoke, ''Friends you must cease this useless arguing.'' The two looked at each other slightly shame faced but quickly straightened and attempted to retain some of their dignity when Froedi spoke again, ''Alpha Vanorr has an important point to discuss.''

Regin scowled slightly "But what if..." he stopped abruptly as he heard the two fellow Clan Alphas approaching, quickly turning and giving a courteous bow. At the wise alpha's words he glanced over at Flyja with an embarrassed expression, then straightened and shook out his coat slightly, refocusing himself.
Alpha Vanorr frowned at the two Clan Alpha's behavior as he approached, although he really hadn't expected anything less. As Froedi turned their attention to him, the gave a slight cough then nodded "Yes, I do. Alpha Froedi and I were discussing the rescue mission, as I'm sure you two were as well, and we have our side of it settled. But we will need to keep in close contact with all participating clans, which includes you two. As such, Alpha Froedi suggested the use of Dreki to hasten the messages and make sure none of us are off on our timing, for if our rescue party arrives before the distraction, that would not bode well for any of us" he said, looking at them both with a firm expression that ruled out any arguing.
Alpha Regin listened curiously, feeling a bit of shame that he hadn't even considered the problem of communicating. At the relatively easy solution he nodded, glancing over at Flyja. "Using the Dreki sounds like a wise decision indeed." he acknowledged, "Although it may be tricky, what with their known love for pranking. If they decide to deliver the wrong information at the vital time, that would doom all planning." he said, frowning slightly.
