After Froedi listened closely to Regin's worry, he asked, ''What if we ask the permission of the alpha Hvila, surely her wolves would have a few trained Dreki who would suit our purpose.'' He looked at the three alphas before him for their response.

Alpha Vanorr gave a slight nod at this suggestion "That sounds like quite a sound idea" he said, then added as he glanced down the path "If we can catch her that is" realizing that she had already left.
Regin gave a nod as well "If she has some that she can vouch for, then i agree to this idea" he said, adding "I'm sure Alpha Flyja could catch up to her" turning to bow slightly to her in deference to her skill.

Flyja nodded and swiftly ran in the direction where the healers had gone, disappearing quickly through the dense brush. She was glad for a chance to run, and let out her pent up energy. Soon she found the alpha and her healers. Hardly panting, she dipped her head and spoke, ''alpha Hvila, we alphas have a request, please return with me.'' Hvila nodded, motioned for her wolves to stay and wait for her, then followed the lean wolf back in the direction of the Council Rock.

Regin watched with grudging admiration as the swift Clan Alpha sprang through the brush, speeding down the path into the dark forest.
Vanorr sat down carefully, his tail sweeping over his paws as he waited, knowing it wouldn't take long for the swift Alpha Female to find her fellow Alpha.
Einvaldr watched from the distance where he and Faraya sat with the Visdomr wolves, but his mind was back with his daughter. "Do you think we made the right decision to let her go?" he asked softly. The red wolf looked over to him, knowing exactly what he was asking. "Yes, you know it was, she'll learn much from this." she said with a strong tone, although she was obviously convincing herself as well. The silver muscular wolf nodded, then glanced over to the others beside them. "And you, how old is your son? Is he an apprentice as well then, since I heard Alpha Froedi mention his mentor?" he questioned curiously with a courteous smile.

When the two female alphas came, Hvila stepped forward and bowed, ''alphas, how may I be of assistance?'' Froedi mirrored her bow and spoke, ''we have been discussing our parts and positions commanded us by the Alpha, we realized that we have a grave need for swift and reliable communication, we ask if you lend us a few of your trained Dreki to use in our mission,'' he stopped and looked at Vanorr wordlessly asking if he had anything to add.
Esoom returned the smile and answered, ''Enilair, our son, is about two and a half now, I think,'' he looked at his mate for confirmation, she nodded, ''he is apprenticed to Greynan, a wolf known for his wisdom, in our clan, he is being trained as a strategist and a scout, though we did not know until today that our alpha was watching him,'' he could not help but slip some of his fatherly pride into his answer. ''As I understood, you have a daughter?'' Esoom asked wanting to know more of the wolves his son was to be partnered with.

Vanorr also bowed to the Alpha Female, nodding in agreement with Froedi's words. "Yes, we shall need at least eight, considering each clan must be able to communicate swiftly and accurately with each other" he said, hopeful for a positive answer.
Einvaldr listened interestedly, Faraya moving closer as well with a smile to the other female. "I have heard of Graynan, I believe he came to a Council meeting many moons ago" the male responded "Any apprentice trained by him must be a special wolf indeed" he added with a respectful look to the parents. At Esoom's corresponding question, he smiled once more, thinking of his daughter. "Yes, we do, she is two and..." he glanced to his mate "Seven moons" she replied swiftly with a teasing smile to her mate. He blushed slightly at the fact that he didn't remember, then turned back to Esoom "So most likely quite similar in age to your son, as it sounds. She is being mentored by Vaskra, a well trained and very experienced warrior, and she will most likely pledge herself as a warrior herself, when the time comes. You may have heard her mentor's name mentioned, as she will be joining Alistra, our daughter, on the rescue mission" he said, his proud smile fading slightly as he gave a slight shake of his head "I am wary to send her on such a vital mission however, as she is still quite headstrong" he said, pausing as he felt Faraya nudge him. "As was I when I was her age, if you remember" she said, her orange eyes flashing with her unquenchable fire. He smiled and nodded "Yes, she is quite like you my dear, in many ways" he added with a chuckle as he turned back to the two wolves before them.

Alpha Hvila tilted her head thoughtfully before answering, ''yes we would have the needed amount, I would have to ask it of their individual owners, but I think they would allow,'' she straightened, ''yes, you may use our Dreki.''
Esoom understood the worry behind the soft green eyes of the grey wolf sitting before him, ''as it sounds we both have two smart and worthy young wolves to offer in the service of the Alpha, he said trying to sound optimistic. ''And,'' he added, ''two wolves worthy enough to protect them,'' he said this with a backwards glance at the one eyed wolf behind him, who appeared to be sleeping.

Vanorr gave a gallant bow "I thank you, Hvila, it will greatly help the mission to go smoothly" he said with a grateful smile.
Einvaldr nodded, relaxing slightly "Yes, it is good that Vaskra will be with her, for she knows our daughter almost as well than we do ourselves" he said with a smile, then glanced over at the older wolf behind them. He wanted to ask to know more of the one eyed wolf, but he realized that it would be rude, and most likely be seen as second guessing the Clan Alpha's decision, so instead he turned his gaze over to the Clan Alpha's, who seemed to be reaching some kind of agreement.

''Yes, you have our greatest thanks,'' said Froedi, dipping his head respectfully, ''now if that is all, I think we should return to our clans.''
Esoom seemed lost in thought and failed to notice Einvaldr's glance. He shook himself and also began to watch the alphas.

Vanorr nodded in agreement "Yes, it is high time we returned, as we all have much to prepare." he agreed solemnly, bowing lightly to each Clan member before turning to return to his two trusted guards.
Einvaldr noticed Vanorr turn towards them, and quickly got to his paws. "It seems we shall be departing momentarily" he said, then paused looking to Faraya. "I..I had a thought just now" he said to her in a suddenly quiet, thoughtful voice. She pricked her ears up and looked at him curiously. "What is it?" she questioned. "I was just thinking of what the High Alpha said, how he sent out all his scouts to find the elves as well. But he also said he had to set up guards along the humans border. I don't remember so many scouts and warriors living here" he said with a slight frown. Faraya looked down thoughtfully, then raised her head, eyes clearing. "You're right, if he sent out all his scouts, then I doubt he has enough warriors to cover the entire forest's edge in our territory" she affirmed, then paused "But what can we do about that?" she questioned. Einvaldr was about to speak, but went silent as his Alpha approached. "I'm not exactly sure yet" he answered quickly, bowing to his Alpha.

Froedi too bowed to the surrounding alphas before turning back to his clan wolves.
His wolves stood stood and bowed at their alphas approach, ''if all are ready then we will depart,'' as no one said otherwise he turned in the direction of the forest, his wolves filing themselves out behind him.

Vanorr smiled to his two faithful followers "We are ready to return" he said, adding "I'm sure you are both eager to see your daughter, so you may speak with her first before returning to my den to discuss matters" he added. Faraya gave a thankful bow "Thank you, Alpha" she said, quickly moving to his right side as he gave a nod and began moving into the forest. The large silver wolf swiftly took up his position as well, and the three picked up their pace, loping into the forest, thoughts pulling them home.

Froedi knew that they had a long way home, and set the pace at an almost running trot, after a while he would slow to a walk, then return to the faster pace. When they finally entered their clan territory, the sun was already bathing the dark blue diamond studded sky in pink and purple hues. Froedi reached his den and after acknowledging his Beta, collapsed on the floor and fell into a deep sleep. Esoom and Lanaria silently made their we to Graynan's den, laid down next to there still sleeping son.

Vanorr was thankful that their journey was only a few hours, and his party was able to keep a ground eating trot for the most part. Twice they stopped by a stream to quench their thirst and re-energize before heading onwards again. Soon their paws were treading familiar ground, and in a few more minutes they padded into the Clan's main territory. "Sleep well, we may discuss happenings at any time tomorrow" Vanorr said, turning to give a slight nod to his two followers. Einvaldr and Faraya bowed, then hurried off to their den. The Clan Alpha wearily climbed the hill to his own sleeping abode, giving a nod to his dozing Beta, who gave a relieved nod as well at his safe return, then quickly curled up on the floor, falling asleep as soon as he was settled.
Einvaldr and Faraya slipped quietly into their den, where Alistra lay alone. But they could not hope to enter without her hearing them, Vaskra had certainly drilled light sleeping into her enough. At the sound of their paw steps, her ears twitched, her mind awakening slightly. As she cracked an eye open, her first thought was that Vaskra was attempting another test on her, and she quickly sat up, startling her parents. "Alistra" Her mother said, quickly padding over and nuzzling her. "Mother! I didn't know if you would be back tonight or not" she said with a wide smile, eyes glittering happily, although she was still sort of half asleep. "I'm here too" Einvaldr barked softly, nuzzling her. "Now then, we'll have plenty of time to talk in the morning, let's get some rest" he added sensibly, laying down. Alistra lay down next to him, her mother next to her as they snuggled together. The young wolf fell asleep with joy in her heart, warmed by her parents pelts on either side of her.

It was late morning when alpha Foedi reluctantly opened his eyes. He yawned cavernously before standing up and stretching. After walking out into the sunlight and glancing contentedly at the familiar surroundings, he went in search of his Beta. Beta Danathor was a large muscular grey-brown wolf, the only similarities he had with his young daughter, Hadara, was their brilliant eyes. At that moment the to were conversing, but quieted into a respectful silence at their alpha's approach. When he reached them both fell into perfect bows, Hadara leaving the two older wolves to their privacy. ''My alpha,'' the beta spoke how was your journey?'' ''All went well Danathor, and thankfully a decision was reached in a relatively short time. I trust that all went well here in my absence?'' ''Yes alpha Froedi all was quiet. ''Good, now if that is all, I have some matters pertaining to the council last night to discus with you, will you come with me to my den?'' ''Of course, my alpha,'' he said as he stood and followed Froedi to his den.
Enilair woke that morning, to his delighted surprise, to find his parents laying near him on either side. He gave a yelp for joy, startling both of them awake, along with his mentor who had taken his place near the back of the cave. Enilair was all over them in excitement. ''Mother, Father,'' he barked happily, ''When did you come back? Why did you not wake me? Will you be staying for a while?'' Enilair's parents both began laughing, ''Slow down Son,'' Lanaria laughed, as his father tried to answer the volley of questions as fast as he could, ''we returned last night with the alpha, we did not wake you, though we wanted to, because we also needed our sleep, and we do not know when we will be leaving, but probably soon.'' At Esoom's last answer Enilair's jubilation dimmed slightly, but immediately rebounded at Lanaria's next statement, ''we have something special to tell you, Enilair, alpha Froedi picked you for an important mission.''
