Stargazer nudged it towards her friend, "It's fine, you can have it. I'm not that hungry anyway." She gave Lavender a soft smile as she saw how eager she was to eat. It would be fine for her friend to have it, there would be plenty of other prey in the forests and she was used to not eating as often since prey was scarce in the mountains.

"are you sure?" Lavender asked. When Stargazer said she wasn't hungry, Lavender nodded, leaning down to take a bite of the prey. She chewed it and smiled until she finished eating. "That was delicious" she said, with another smile. "where do we want to go today?" she asked, as the sun was rising more into the sky. Lavender looked around and thought for a second. "well, we came north yesterday, how about we continue going north?" she asked, as that seemed like the best idea to go forward instead of back

Stargazer nodded, north was the direction they had been flying lately. "Sounds good to me," she said before flaring her wings and leaping into the sky with a gust of wind.

Lavender nodded and took off behind her friend. She was now full from the prey she had just eaten...but she felt slightly bad that Stargazer hadn't been able to have any. Even if she said she didn't want any. Lavender shook away the thought and looked around as they flew

Stargazer spread her wings out wide and glided through the sky, closing her eyes and taking a deep breath of the fresh air rushing past her face. A sigh escaped her and she shook herself before letting her eyes open again to scan their surrounds. They were flying at a pretty good pace, the trees a blur of greens and browns beneath them with the occasional spots of flowers visible. Up ahead in the far distance were three tall mountains wreathed in white fog. Not the mountains she had grown up in, those were further east, but still grand mountains non the less.

Lavender smiled and she looked around as well. The cool breeze passing her scales. She looked around. "How much flying do you want to do today?" she called over to Stargazer as Lavender looked around some more. The mountains they were flying around, had the tiniest bit of snow on top, as it was very cold up where they were flying. Lavender let out a smile as she breathed in the scent of fresh air. Trees below them, with the sight of prey hiding in the trees.

Stargazer glanced over at Lavender, "I think we should go at least until dark, with maybe a stop if we happen to see any other prey." She hoped that flying all day wouldn't be too hard for her friend. Up in the mountains, the air was thinner and made it harder to breathe, which was something she was used to from growing up there but probably not Lavender. She wouldn't like having to take breaks but would if her friend needed a few.

"alright" Lavender said, beside Stargazer, as they flew through the morning sky. "I have to admit, it's really nice up here, in the open air" she said, taking a nice breath of fresh air before continuing to fly alongside her friend. "If you're hungry, I can see some prey running below us" Lavender pointed out, as she looked below, and saw multiple different kinds of prey, running around in the woods below.

Stargazer followed Lavenders gaze and smirked to herself before spiraling into a dive without responding, headed straight for a large deer. The prey here was obviously not used to threats coming from the sky, and were only looking around on the ground for predators, unlike animals that lived near dragons. The prey that were used to sky attacks were much harder to catch, but it took only a second for her to swoop down on the unsuspecting deer and with a quick bite dispatch it. She flared her wings out as she started to dig into it, ignoring a few other prey that bounded away, spooked from her sudden appearance.

Lavender smiled as she watched Stargazer swoop down and kill the deer. She swooped down behind her and landed swiftly on the ground. “That deer didn’t suspect a thing” lavender said as she watched her friend begin to eat. Lavender herself wasn’t hungry, she had eaten before they took off, so she waited for her friend to finish up her meal.

Stargazer grinned at Lavenders praise but didn't reply, instead focusing on hurriedly eating as much as she could. It wasn't a good idea to spend too long on the ground, especially with the scent of blood possibly attracting unwanted attention. Dragons were one of the apex predators in the land, but there were still some large creatures that they had to watch out for.

Lavender flew a bit overhead of her friend as she waited for her to finish eating. Her eyes pealed for anything unusual...mainly humans. Her spiky tail was swishing back and forth as she kept watch. "Ready to continue?" Lavender called from where she was flying above. "we should get going soon, we don't know whats lurking in this forest" Lavender said, as she kept her gaze on the forest in front of them.

Stargazer glanced up at her friend as she ate the last morsel, leaving the bones and hide for scavengers to prick clean. "Yep, I'm ready," she called out to her friend. Just as she was taking off she spotted a glinting of metal in the sun and her eyes widened. "Watch out!" She roared, leaping into the air and tackling Lavender out of the way just as arrows shot out of the bushes. She snarled in pain as a few pierced the scales on her tail and roared loudly in anger. Her eyes glinted as she took a deep breath and shot an icy cloud of deadly frost at where it looked like the arrows had come from.

Lavender let out a roar of alarm, her gaze darting around when her friend was shot. Soon, she found it. "Stay here" she said, landing and racing through the forest. She found where the arrows were coming from, and Lavender let out a snarl. The human turned, and fled, screaming. Then, Lavender went flying back to her friend. "Are you ok?" she asked, as she looked at the arrow wound. "Do you need me to take that out?" she asked

(Yep! finally after like three weeks its almost gone)
Stargazer glanced over at Lavender and shook her head, despite the stinging pain coming from the arrows stuck in her tail. "I'll be fine, but we need to move on, there could be more," she said, hiding a wince. She hated showing weakness to others, even if they were close to her. She couldn't stand the thought of being pitied or disappointing others when she was supposed to be the strong one in her last family. She had to be strong, it was the only way she would find her hatchlings.
