This is a private rp between me (Abbster) and silverwolf. If you are NOT one of these people, please do NOT comment.
The last two remaining dragons ever to roman the earth, live peacefully in the forest together. They watched as slowly their friends and family were taken away by either humans, or were killed. Being the last two, means they have to work even harder to survive now. They also undergo multiple challenges, flying away from human catchers, and storms, trying to find places to sleep each night can be a challenge. But together, they know that anything is possible.

Stargazer sat next to the cave where they had stayed for the night, staring up at the starry sky. It wasn't much different from the sky she had grown up under in the mountains, with the only difference being the absence of the bright northern star that shone over her homeland. Her heart panged at the memory of the mountains, remembering Cobalt, her former mate. Along with the grief she felt, she also could feel anger and determination. The humans would pay for what they had done. She growled and dug her claws harshly into the ground, some frost flowing out of her mouth in anger. No matter what she would find Drift and Obsidian, her two hatchlings stolen by those two-legged monsters. As she stayed lost in her thoughts the night sky slowly lightened until the sun started peeking over the horizon, signaling that it would soon be time to move.

Lavender was laying in the small cave she and Stargazer had found. She sighed slightly and watched as the stars glittered outside. Stargazer was watching each star that night, while Lavender, was tired from there journey that morning. She forced herself to curl under her wings and go to sleep. Each time she closed her eyes, she kept seeing the mate she had known for two days. She had to shake away the thought in order to get herself to sleep that night. Heaving another sigh Lavender continued to shake her head until the memory went away and she closed her eyes, finally falling asleep.

Stargazer watched the stars for a while longer, watching as the moon rose higher in the sky. The world was a dangerous place, and so, they had to take turns keeping watch for danger. She let Lavender sleep first, since the other dragon grew tired easily than herself. Stargazer was used to harsher climates and didn't get tired easily. It was why she always took first watch. Though she wouldn't tell her friend, she let her sleep in longer than usual. Once there was only a few hours before daytime she rose to her paws and walked in the cave, nudging Lavender. "Hey, it's time for you to keep watch," she whispered gently to her friend.

Lavender stirred slightly and rose her head. “Ok” she said, as she got to her feet, stretched and then padded to the entrance of the cave. She settled herself in front of the entrance and gazed up at the sky. It was a little bit cloudy, but Lavender didn’t think much of it as it was usually cloudy in the morning. She looked around at the horizons around the cave. There was mountain all around them, and then bellow them was a forest. They didn’t go in the forest much, usually just stayed up on the mountain. A light breeze blew past Lavender and she gripped her claws in the rock on the mountain. Her eyes in slits as she gazed around wearily. She didn’t think there would be any dragons around at that time, but they always had to keep watch, which was way Lavender needed her sleep. She blinked as another cool breeze tickled her scaly spine and she shook her head to clear out her thoughts before looking around some more.

Stargazer gave Lavender a small nod of acknowledgment, watching her friend walk outside. Taking a deep breath, Stargazer blew out a gusty breath of icy mist, freezing a large area for her to sleep in. Since she was an ice dragon, the cold made it easier to sleep and was more comfortable. She streched out and rumbled in approval as the cold washed over her scales. After one last glance outside at Lavender she allowed her eyes to drift shut and fell into a light sleep.

Lavender watched as the sun rose to the highest point in the sky. She would let Stargazer sleep for a while longer before waking her up so they could get started on there journey for the day. A little while later, she rose to her feet and headed over to wake Stargazer. “Good morning” she said to her friend. “We should start moving for todays journey.” She said as she nudged her friend a little before going back outside to keep watch until Stargazer woke up. Lavender poked her head over the edge of the cliff and looked around, trying to see if she could spot any food for the morning. “Nothing” she grumbled, turning to sit down once more.

Stargazer awoke at Lavenders voice and lifted her head, nodding to the other dragon. As Lavender walked back outside she rose to her paws and stretched before walking outside as well. Padding outside she stopped next to her friend and followed her gaze. "No prey nearby huh," She remarked, slightly dissapointed. It wasn't the end of the world though, they would likly spot some as them moved on.

Lavender shook her head. “Nope” she said, as a low growl was heard in her throat. “Should we find some water first or get started?” She asked as she leapt down onto a rock below her. She wanted to stretch her wings and fly, but she needed to hear what Stargazer wanted to do first. She had known that when she met her friend, her hatchlings had been taken by humans. The journey they were going on, was a pretty simple one. They looked for food, water, shelter, but along the way, they also looked for her hatchlings. She looked back up at Stargazer. “You coming?” She called

Stargazer nodded, "Let's go, water first." She spread her own large wings before leaping off the cliff and snapping her wings open. After a few powerful flaps of her wings she leveled out, glancing behind her to make sure Lavender had taken off as well.

Lavender nodded and leapt into the sky behind Stargazer. She flew beside her as she looked around for water below them. She couldn’t see any at that moment, but kept looking. “See anything?” She called over the wind to Stargazer.

Stargazer's sharp eyes scanned the landscape below, waiting a few seconds until the glimmer of sun reflecting off water caught her attention below. "There," she nodded before tucking her wings close to her body to curve into a sharp dive, heading for a small clearing in the trees big enough to land in. She had spotted a small pond, but it would work for their purposes.

Lavender followed after Stargazer and landed swiftly on her paws. She bent her head to take a nice long drink of water and then stepped back so Stargazer could have a turn. Lavender turned her head around and gazed at the surroundings, squinting her eyes when she caught movement. “What is that?” She whispered to Stargazer. It looked like prey, but Lavender wasn’t sure at that moment.

Stargazer streaked towards the ground before flaring her wings at the last moment to slow her descent, landing lightly on the ground before folding her wings against her sides. When Lavender had finished drinking she stepped over to the pond and dipped her head in the water. It was rather clear for a pond, perhaps it was spring-fed. At Lavenders question she lifted her head and turned to look, ignoring the water dripping from her mouth. Her eyes caught a glimpse of fur and she crouched a little lower to the ground, starting to stalk towards the animal. By the time it noticed her it was to late, and she snapped her jaws around its neck as it gave a final screech. Trotting back to Lavender she dropped it in front of her, "it was just a jackalope," she told her friend, looking down at the rabbit with antlers.

“Ooo nice” lavender said, with a bright smile. “Is there enough for both of us?” Lavender asked as she stared down at the prey laying in front of her and Stargazer. Her mouth watered slightly at the delicious smell the rabbit was giving. She wanted to lean forward and just take a bite of it. But if there was enough for her and Stargazer she would always share with her friend.
