Aboard the Rum Cask

''Ah son,'' the old captain said placing his fist over his heart, ''I heard tis mortal. I had I fine time sailing with ye.... you will always be the most useless pile o' uselessness ive ever know,'' he said wiping away a tear.

[Chloriosus]

Kastron had at first thought this whole scenario unbelievably funny, but now he was becoming rather aghast and concerned by his fathers unusual show of emotions. "Yes, yes I know that. Its a shame really, but is it really neccessary to be so upset about this?", he asked indignantly.

The captain was about to sniff but stopped, ''you know what? No it isn't. And with that he resumed his charge.

Kastron felt halfway relieved and halfway flattened by his father's sudden change in attitude. Indeed, he now found himself on the floor, his father continuing his run twards Eldor, who appeared to find the whole thing hilarious. Kastron latched on to his fathers boot to hold him down so he would have a harder time getting at the egg, which the two boys had practically forgotten about, and was sitting precariously at the edge of the ice cliff. Of course that didn't hold Captain Edgewood down any, but it did somewhat dvert him from his path, and he accidentally (or not so accidentally), stepped on Weedsworth, who was crawling on the floor.

Weedsworth let out a scream that sounded like a duck being murdered and continued crawling, in the process he stepped on Garenway who was still snoozing from the exsausting Rush polka they had been doing earlier. ''Not again,'' Eldor yelled when he saw the captain rushing towards him. Quickly he took to his heels towards the egg, he had in fact forgotten that to was way over there, actually his memory failed his as to HOW it had gotten there.

Kastron was not having a very pleasant time at all. For one thing, it was rather painful being dragged across the ice. Being dragged across Weedsworth and his ear drum rupturing shriek was even less enjoyable. Somehow, the captain turned around and started rushing back at Gerenway, for he was supposed to be watching the ship. Doing so, he flung out his leg to spin around, and to his great relief he found that Kastron had lost his grip on it and was speeding through the air towards the cliff. "See you around son!", he called before continuing his onslaught towards Gerenway, who was watching Kastrons journey towards the cliff quite happily. Kastron himself was not thrilled with this turn of events at all. "And here I exit life.", thought Kastron, and crossed his arms.

Gerenway shrieked even louder than Weedsworth and scrambled away as fast as he could, ''THE WORLDS ENDING, THE WORLDS ENDING,'' he screamed at the top of his lungs.
Eldor saw Kastron barreling towards him and stepped in to try and grab him, he got him and held to his arm but the velocity that Kastron was going at threw Eldor off his feet and dragged him towards the end of the cliff, ''of all the brainless idiots on this side of the Great Blue you and the dumbest!!!''

[Chloriosus]

"Quite on the contrary.", retorted Kastron, gasping. "It is you who is the mostest dumbest, for jumping in my way in the first place when I could have had a perfectly nice time falling off."

''Well I couldn't let you have all the fun,'' he shot back sputtering to get snow out of his mouth.

[Chloriosus]

Kastron shakily stood up and brushed himself off. "Well, if you want the fun,, you take what goes with it. You are just as stupid as I am, plus extra for even trying that AND forgetting about the egg."

''I didn't forget the egg,'' Eldor defended himself, he walked back to the cliff edge and picked it up, ''see safe.''

[Chloriosus]

Kastron eyed the egg suspiciously and then glanced at the track it had left in the snow at the end of the cliff. "What, then, is this?", he asked, pointing to it doggedly.

Eldor peered at it as if he had never seen a stranger thing in his life, ''how should I know? How do you think I am quasi-modo?''

[Chloriosus]

Kastron looked confused there fore a moment before putting on his I dont care face. I think you are numskull modo"

Eldor put on his 'seriously' face, ''whatever, anyway what should we do now?''
