''Found what,'' Eldor asked not looking up from the bejeweled signet rings which had the designs of many ancient kings engraved not them.

Kastron studied the medallion closely, peering at its design. “The seventeenth medallion of Ratherford the CrosShanker.” He said solemnly, taking the leather strap and knowing it in a way that made the medallion stay in it like a bracelet.

Eldor's head popped up, ''wait, so we can curse people now,'' he asked skeptically, ''don't really get how all your seaman superstitions work.''

Kastron shook his head. “As of now, we have two bad ones. Two is a good number. In order for the curse to work, we need at least three odd numbers ones.” His eyes began glimmering and glancing about. “Maybe there’s another here.”

Eldor took out the medallion he had found earlier, ''this anything,'' he asked showing him the medallion.

Kastron eyed it, then grinned. “Yes, it is, and not just that, it is the fifteenth! That should make the combination at least three times more powerful because they line up!” His eyes flashed with mischief. “Imagine what stuff we could do with this now!”

Eldor looked at him, ''so are we wizards now or something,'' he asked extremely confused as to how the medallions worked.

Kastron came back to earth. “Not quite wizards.”, he said skeptically. “More like… holders of the evil spells. We shall have to learn how exactly to cast powerful spells though. I think these are more like curse, but how exactly to do it I don’t know. Did you learn any of that?”

Eldor rubbed his chin, ''not really, my parents didn't hold with all the sorcery nonsense. There was a witch that lived up the mountain. She actually had a cabin with chicken legs, but she never cast any actual enchantments. Only some hocus pocus that scared the kids away. I never was scared by her though,'' he added quickly.

Kastron nodded, his mouth pulling to one corner in thought. “I’m really not sure how to use these.”, he finally admitted. “I just know they can be used for bad or mischief. Also, how do you know it was chicken legs? It could have been turkey legs! Or pheasant ones, at that. Imagine the amount of food you could make with those though…”, he added.

''I didn't say thighs,'' Eldor retorted, ''besides, I know chicken legs when I see em.''

Kastron shook his head. “They look the same.”, he contoured. “I’ve eaten enough to know.”

''No they don't,'' Eldor argued, ''and if you would like to discuss the finer differences of chicken and turkey I would love to some other time, but I think we should get out before the dragon returns.''

Kastron was going to nod when he heard the now familiar flap of wings and rather deafening roar. “Too late.”, he said, shrugging.

Eldor looked up, ''well now would be the time to run but we can't very well do so can we? Come on, lets get up this pole!''
