Kastron breathed out in frustration and jumped off the dragon, for alas, he hadn’t meant “save the bucket”, he had meant “save what’s IN the bucket”, or rather, what WAS in the bucket, and was Miele sliding down the mountain at sickening speed. Kastron dove after it, just to get a face full of snow.

Eldor got up, brushed himself down, and then began to calmly walking down the hill after Kastron, ''kids,'' he smirked.

Kastron ran after the bundle, then resorted to sliding down the hill after it. “I almost got it!”, he shouted, when the egg took an unexpected turn. “Nevermind.”, he said ruefully.

Eldor continued his leisurely downwards, he was now able to take deeper breaths since the air was thickening. He saw Kastron who looked for all the world like a penguin at a water park.

Though dire his situation may have been, Kastron was having the time of his life skidding after that egg. The egg in question was bouncing aroun rather precariously, Kastron attempting to follow his every move and noticing Eldor trail along side him. “Come on, this is fun!”, he yelled over the wind of their speed and that of the snow storm.

Eldor watched as the egg maintained its breakneck pace down the mountainside, ''the things going to be scrambled before we even get to attempt to hatch it,'' he told himself aloud. As he continued to trudge along he saw a log lying in the snow, or perhaps under the snow would be a better expression, he tried pushing it and after some effort it budged then began to slide down the hill. Eldor quickly jumped on and held ti it tightly with his knees, his momentum soon picked up and in no time he was almost passed Kastron.

Kastron squiggled a bit to get ahead again and hit an especially slick short strip of ice. He went ahead with a sudden acceleration. “I think I’m getting an ice burn!”, he noticed under his breath, before beginning to roll down the hill. The dragon, meanwhile, had begun to copy the boys and was now sliding down the hill in its stomach, with its eyes still half blindfolded, it equally icy blue scales skidding over the snow with a clumsy grace.

Eldor frowned when Kastron pulled ahead of him. Quite suddenly he thought he heard the roaring of an avalanche behind him, turning he saw it was something much worse. Passing a tree he grabbed one of its branches and pulled it off, he then preceded to ''row'' his log along faster, drawing level with Kastron again.

Kastron was spin rolling down the hill at for most people sickening speed (remember he had quite the experience with foggy mindedness.) He beheld Eldor matching his speed, although it looked more like a round blur instead of a person. Kastron tried to get out of his rolling by holding onto Eldors log, but that didn’t go too well either, for now instead of rolling down the hill he was being dragged down it, and he got a lot of snow down his shirt. He clambered up and flopped down on his stomach using his legs as a rudder to steer the log better.

Eldor turned in his seat to look behind him, ''you want me to pull you up,'' he yelled over the roaring of the wind. The dragon was getting dangerously closer and the nearer it got the angrier it became. The saliva around its mouth began freezing causing it to look like a huge scaly ice lion.

Kastron shook his head and started trying to kick them off some more, his feet slipping on the snow. “How far off is it!?”, he asked over the loud noise. “One of us snatched the egg and runs off with it, the other takes the shawl or whatever it is and distracts the dragon with it!”

Eldor shrugged his stiff shoulders, ''suit yourself,'' he called. He leaned forward slightly, gauging the distance back to the ship, ''I'd say it is a hundred fifty to two hundred feet,'' he yelled back, ''you think you can manage?''

Kastron looked behind him then face front again. “You mean distracting or actually taking the egg?”

''Whichever comes your way, we don't have much time,'' Eldor responded as he watched the distance close between them and the Rum Cask.

Kastron looked behind him at the dragon, which looked like an oversized blue iced seal that had been dieting for three years. He katapulted himself off the log using Eldors rudder, and raced after the egg, unwrapping it and throwing it to Eldor, whilst taking the piece of cloth and making it look like a bundle. He was screaming like a maniac and came very close to an imitation of Weedsworths gassy breaths mixed with DK’s idiotic chicken squawks. “Come after me you giant glimmering turkey!”, he yelled at it, hoping that for once Eldor had a decent plan that would involve no falling or dying.
