A great war has come to two packs living within a few feet from each other, it isn't know what started the war but it is clear if it is to end without death there must be one winning side to bring peace among the packs who call there territories home, among the pack who lives in the medow is a Alpha called Hymir who strives to protect his pack from threats both outside his borders and within the pack, however another alpha watches them from afar his snowy white coat glittering in the sunlight his name is Alpine and he is waiting for any chance to exploit a weakness in the Dawn medow pack that they don't see.

Hymir's ears twitched slightly as a late spring breeze swept through his midnight black fur and whirled around the den.  Awoken by this zephyr he lifted his commanding head, his orange eyes snapping open, then softening as he looked to the side. "Morning has come Frost" he said softly, dipping his muzzle to nuzzle the contrasting light fur of his mate who slept by him. And morning had indeed arrived. The sun was creeping over the tops of the trees dotting the rocky meadow which his pack called home. And with the sun came the awakening of his pack, and with that, came his responsibilities. He nudged his mate gently once again "I must be about my duties" he whispered softly to her as he stretched his legs and slowly stood, shaking out his dark coat.

Dellion's golden eyes flashed open, slowly he got to his feet and stretched, walking out of his den he took in the fresh gold sunlight as it filtering in through the trees. Suddenly he felt one of his sullen moods overtake him, this was going to be another frustrating day, a day where he was reminded again of his degraded position and powerless body. He stood again and walked toward the other dens hoping against hope that the day would pass quickly.

Frost opened her eyes at the nudge of her sweet mate. She blinked in the bright sunlight of the morning, and she nuzzled Hymir. She slept beside her mate every night in his den. “Good morning” she said as she stood and stretched her stiff body, shaking her coat to warm herself up a bit.

Hymir smiled as his beautiful mate rose to her paws, and he licked her nose lovingly. "Ready to start the day?" he asked with a smile, taking a step towards the entrance as he could already here a few wolves moving outside, most likely awaiting his appearance.

Frost let a smile come across her face as she closed her eyes when her mate licked her nose. “Yes I am” she said, getting ready to head out of their den. “I promise Moonlight I’d check in on her this morning. Her pups are due soon” she said as she nuzzled her mate lovingly before she padded out of the den beside him.

Vedana had been up for a while already that morning. She loved the solace of laying just outside her den taking in the serenity of the early morning and drinking in the fresh early morning sunlight. Once the sun reached a certain point in the eastern sky she knew that was when the other wolves would begin waking. She stood and gracefully made her way toward the alpha's den, where she knew he would begin giving out the days assignments.

Int. Moonlight

Storm padded into the off duty den, where his mate Moonlight was staying right now as she was pregnant with their pups. He padded up to her and nuzzled her belly before he nuzzled her. “Good morning my sweet mate” he said. Moonlight rose her head and smiled nuzzling her sweet mate in return. “How are you feeling this morning?” Storm asked. “Ok” moonlight said. “The pups are getting restless” she said as she made some room for Storm to lay beside her.

Dellion slowly made his way toward the Alpha's den, he slunk near the edge of where some of the other wolves were gathered, also waiting for the alpha. Finally he found a suitable spot to sit, as he waited for his Alpha and Luna to emerge.

Int. Everyone

Hymir began padding to the entrance of their cozy den, smiling at his mate as she moved beside him. "Ah, yes, do tell me how she's coming along when you return, and send my regards" he said in a caring tone. The pregnant females were always a top priority for him, especially protection wise, as they held the future of the pack. He paused at the opening of the den, then strode out, stopping in the direct sunlight as his gaze swiftly roved over his gathered pack. Quite a few wolves did not seem to have arrived as of yet, but it was not of utmost importance, as he could visit their dens directly if need be. "May the Sun's rays warm you this day" his powerful voice echoed out over the clearing.

Int. Hymir-Moonlight.

Frost nodded and licked his ear just before they arrived outside. She dipped her head to the group of wolves gathered outside their den before padding to where Moonlight slept. She poked her head in the den and saw Moonlight laying beside her mate Storm. “Storm, Hymir is giving jobs for today” she said. Storm nodded and nuzzled his mate before heading out of the den and into the clearing. “Hymir says hello” Frost said as she nuzzled her friend.

Vedana had arrived just as the Alpha was giving his traditional greeting, she sat down nearer his den dipping her head as Luna Frost passed and prepared herself to listen to alpha Hymir.

Int. Each other, open

Fisaga sprang to her paws, her pure white eyes glistening with excitement as her Alpha's voice rang through the den. "Fenian! Wake up! We're late!" she said, almost bouncing up and down on her brother who groaned. "I can hear you just fine without you yelling in my ear" the male spoke, rising to his paws slowly and shaking out his snowy coat. "But you are right, we are late" he agreed, turning and padding towards the den entrance, his clouded icy blue eyes not flinching as the bright sunlight hit them. "Do you think we'll be sent out to scout today? I think we will. After all, it should be our turn! Isn't Violet out scouting? Or was it Lazuku? Do you remember?" her cheerful voice bounced off the entrance to the den and out into the open air. "I think it might have been both of them" Fenian replied calmly, obviously used to his sisters impulsive speech. "If you want to find out I'd suggest we get over there and listen" he added. Fisaga nodded, a smile still spread over her muzzle. "Oh yes! I hope everyone else is there. Do you think Cyanide will be there?" she asked suddenly. Fenian gave her a slight glance "Well it is customary for most everyone to be there, so yes, i'm assuming she'll either be there or be on her way when we get there" he said, a bit of a despairing note in his tone. Even a poison fanged wolf couldn't offset his bubbly sister.

Zander would yawn as she exited the guard den she could see Cobalt also coming in her direction so she waited for him, they had been mates for a few years and she knew his favourite sunning rock better then anyone "Come on Cobalt hurry up" Zander said with a slight hint of impatient, it wasn't a good morning for her as she had been listening for Eika's pawsteps trying to prank her again, but then she remebered Eika had her pups now and was occupied with caring for the pups, she then entered the clearing where the Alpha adressed the pack and sat down her tail just tucked out of the way.

Cyanide was still doing her early morning walk through the forrest when she noticed the sun was almost up. "Would you look at that. I'm almost late." She quickly ran over to the place were the wolves would gather, and laid down in some shadow. She knew she would probably be selected for hunter, ass she had never been selected for anything else. She gazed across the clearing, and saw Lazuku making his way to the clearing. The older wolf sat down close by her, looked her over, then sat back, probably lost in thought.
