A Pack's Journey Home. Private (2) with tenebria

[Abbster]

This is my second private rp with tenebria. So if you are not me or her, please do NOT comment. Feel free to read the rp for enjoyment!

The Canine Collective Pack has heard a bunch of different stories about the Uprights (humans) destroying land near the pack. The alpha (Thunder) doesn't worry about it, because they have had to deal with uprights for years. As the uprights grow closer, Thunder begins to set up more guards around the camp, especially during the day. Still, Thunder and Bella (the luna) are not worried about it yet. But once the trees around their camp start getting cut down, they both realize that this is much more serious than they realized. Eventually, the uprights (humans) end up going towards the packs camp, and they force them out. The entire pack barley makes it out alive before the camp is destroyed, Clover struggles to get out of the camp the most, as she is heavily pregnant with Fang's pups during the time of the destruction. Will the pack find a new home again...or will they roam the upright's city forever?

The morning light shimmered over the tree tops, bathing the ancient forest in pink and yellow hues. The sun was just beginning to rise. Birds began their songs and fluttered to and fro, and in a den in this wood, a black australian shepherd lifted his noble head.

Thunder stretched yawning widely then turning to nuzzle his sleeping mate, his Luna. "Good Morning, darling" he barked softly.
A little pup, the image of her father, wriggled as she heard his deep gentle voice, finally popping her head out of the puppy pile around her, blinking up at him with her large dark eyes. Willow was all too ready for the day! Another puppy of the same coloring rolled off of her onto the floor, then leaped to his paws and swiftly tackled her. With a surprised and offended growl, Willow grabbed his floppy ear in her sharp little teeth and kicked him off of her, growling fiercely and wriggling to get her little legs under her chubby body again.

Bella rose her head and nuzzled her mate. “Good morning” she said, looking down as two of her pups wriggled with eachother. “Saylor and Daisy are still asleep. Thunder, would you take these two outside so they can stretch their legs?” Bella asked, as Sage and Willow were getting really close to tumbling on top of the two other sleeping pups. Daisy rose her sleepy head and looked at her little sister. Being the oldest, was the best. She growled a little to Willow and snuggled herself back down by Saylor, settling down with a sigh and closing her eyes.

Thunder chuckled and nodded "Of course" He said, reaching down and nudging the two pups to get their attention. Willow couldn't resist headbutting her brother one more time, Sage tumbling to his side then popping back up with another feisty growl, but settling down when he saw his father looking at them. "Come now my two pups, let's go outside" he said with a smile, nuzzling them both. Willow perked up. Outside! Outside was the best! Turning at a little growl she growled in return to her older sister, attempting to trot off with her nose in their and almost tripping over her own paws. Sage gave a little barking laugh and waddled out in front of her, following their father. With a sharp yap she attempted to run after him, her little legs fumbling slightly as she tried to keep her balance on the rough terrain at such a fast pace. "Now you two stay near the den" Thunder said sternly to the two little furballs, who nodded up at him, their little tails wiggling excitedly. Willow nodded, then turned to her brother and leaped on top of him, grabbing his ear again and growling in a fierce little voice. He gave a yelp, then growled as well and swiftly grabbed onto her ear, and so tangled they began rolling around, as puppies will. Thunder gave another chuckle, shaking his head, then padding over to a jutting out fallen log and agilely jumping onto it, shaking out his fur and looking out over the few dens that spotted the area. No dogs were visible as of yet, but he knew that they would soon awaken. Laying down on the log, he settled his head on his paws, turning to watch his pups as they played.

A while later, Saylor rose her head. She looked at her mother, who was still laying with her older sister, Daisy. “Willow and Sage are outside, you can go join them” she said, licking Saylor before she smiled and scrambled out of the den. Saylor let out a small bark to let her siblings know she had arrived. She jumped on top of Willow and began rolling around in the dust with her. Daisy, woke up after all her siblings. Bella licked her ears. "come on my sweet pup" she said, nuzzling her as Bella stood up, and stretched. Daisy got up as well, shaking her pelt before racing out of the den, her mother following after her. Daisy instantly found her siblings and went crashing towards them, Bella made her way over to her mate, as the pack began waking up.

Thunder raised his head from his paws as his youngest daughter tumbled out of the den, immediately plopping into the fight. Willow jumped as she felt her little sister hop on her back, swiftly rolling over and beginning to tumble with her as well, although a bit more gently. A bit later, Daisy hopped into the mix as well, and Willow swiftly targeted her, jumping on top of her and grabbing an ear, even as Sage targetted her own little floppy ears.

Thunder chuckled, raising himself to a sitting position as his mate approached and reaching down to nuzzle her. "They certainly have energy today" he said in amusement, then turned his head as he heard movement in the pack. The first to emerge, as usual, was Drake, the serious Belgian Malinois. He stretched briefly in front of his den, then shook himself and swiftly trotted up to his Alpha, dipping his head respectfully and taking a seat in front of the log, a bit off to the side.

“They’re four weeks old. Of course they have energy” Bella said with a bark as their pups tumbled around and around together playfully. A while later, the rest of the pack began to emerge. Bella called for her pups to end their game of play fighting and to take their spot at their mother and father’s paws. Daisy scrambled forward, wiggling herself out from under Willow, as she bolted after Saylor, who had arrived to their parents first…as usual.

Thunder chuckled again "Of course" he agreed, then smiled as the pups tumbled over to his paws, Willow planting herself right in front of him, grinning over at her slower older sister. The other dogs emerged, Fang and Askari, both looking extremely serious as they sat down, their eyes constantly roving the forest's edge. Remus and Rebel, the two german shepherd brothers dashing over to the meeting place, racing each other with laughter in their eyes, as usual. Duke unfolded himself from his den and stretched, shaking his large jowls and stalking over to the other dogs, looking over disapprovingly as the twin german shepherd brothers tumbled into their places, he snorting at the dust risen from their antics. And Brutus, trotting over with a serious look to everyone gathered as he sat as well.

Thunder looked over the gathered pack and gave a greeting bark to them all "The morning brings health and peace" he barked, the others returning it "May each day bring such wealth". The greeting completed, he swiftly began dealing out duties. "Fang, Clover, you two will take the patrol for the morning hours. Cosmo and Remus, you will scout the outer edges of the territory, keep a close eye on the southern border, I scented a lone Upright in the area yesterday. Snowflake, Brutus, Duke and Ranger, we have need for our storage to be refilled, preferably with fresh meat, but if you must you may venture to the Upright's domain, but be cautious." he said, pausing to be sure all had their duties before giving a sharp dismissing howl.

Clover nodded to her alpha, looking over to Fang, with a light smile. Cosmo nodded as well, as did Snowflake and Ranger. When their father dismissed the pack, Daisy, lifted her muzzle into the air, and began howling with him, Saylor following a few moments after. Bella chuckled and nuzzled her pups lovingly, as Remmie, the omega, padded forward. "My Luna, My alpha" she said, dipping her head. "My Luna, is there anything you need to do, I can watch the pups for you" she said looking at the four pups sitting below her. Bella smiled. "Not at the moment, Remmie, but I will let you know" Bella said

Fang noticed the females glance and his ears flattened slightly, but he sighed and gave an abrupt nod to her, then looked back to his Alpha. Duke and Brutus both nodded and looked over to their hunting pack, Duke with a mildly clueless albeit somehow noble expression, and Brutus with one of pure hunger and eagerness to get on the hunt. Remus looked disappointed as his brother's name wasn't called as well, but accepted his position for the day.

Willow and Sage joined in the howling, their puppy voices squeaking and grating slightly and not quite in the right tone at all. Thunder looked down with a soft smile at them, then swiftly raised his gaze as he heard pawsteps approaching, sternly regarding the Omega as he padded up to them. Once the Omega had left, Drake stepped forward. "My Alpha, I have some findings I must dicuss with you from last night's scouts" the belgian malinois spoke in his deep tone, a frown furrowing his brow. Swiftly Thunder nodded. "Let us speak in your den" he agreed, turning to nuzzle his mate and pups. "I will return shortly, hopefully" he said with a slight smile. Willow yipped in mild discomfort as her father moved away from them, swiftly getting to her paws and attempting to trot after him.

Bella leaned down and grabbed Willow by the scruff. "I don't think so honey" she said, licking her. "I know you don't like it when your dad has to work, but he's the alpha, he has to" she said, nuzzling each of her pups. Daisy whined a little and flattened her ears. "he'll come back" Bella promised, flicking her oldest pup with her tail. "now, why don't you four go play while I watch over the pack" Bella said. Daisy barked excitedly, scampering away from her siblings, Saylor, following close behind. Saylor jumped on top of Daisy, and the two began rolling around in the dirt, playing and growling playfully.

Clover padded over to Fang. "so" she said. "where should we go first?" she asked

Willow gave a frustrated growl as her mother caught her, wriggling until she put her down and then letting out a huff. Her eyes brightened as Daisy ran away from them, Saylor following her, and Sage following her. Swiftly, Willow bumbled forward, leaping into the fray and grabbing her oldest sister's ear.

Fang got to his paws and looked over at Clover, his bushy tail stiff. "I suggest starting the patrol on the eastern path." he said in a stony tone, turning abruptly and trotting into the brush.

Thunder padded into Drake's den, the Beta following him swiftly. Sitting, he waited for Drake to seat himself as well before questioning him. "Now, what are these new developments?" he asked. Drake sighed. "It's the Uprights... they have enormous rollers, and they've started clearing out the far north side of the forest. It's not near us... yet. I think they're trying to make one of those flat places where they take petulants for walks" he said, growling at the hated word. Thunder bristled as well, then nodded, a frown creasing his brow. "I see, this is serious news indeed. We must keep a sharp eye on the northern end as well then. I will speak to any loners I can track down, you know they always have more information, and perhaps one of them may even miraculously know the Upright's plans" he said. Drake nodded "I was thinking that as well." he paused "I would be willing to take this task on if you wish to remain with your family" he added, slightly hesitantly. Thunder shook his head slowly. "A noble offer, but you are well aware of the fluctuating, wary minds of the Loners. I have worked hard to earn their trust, and I do not believe they will speak to any other" he said firmly. Drake nodded, understanding that the fact was closed. "I shall watch the pack while you gone" he said stoicly. Thunder allowed a slight smile. "I chose well" he said simply, getting to his paws, his black plumed tail raised high.

Daisy growled and rolled over, batting at her sisters ear, and grabbing her tail in her mouth, tossing her head around wildy, growling again. Bella stood up, and padded over to her puppies. "now Daisy" she said. "what have I told you about eating her tail?" Bella asked. Daisy slunk back and gave a small whine, of apology. Bella licked Daisy's ear and allowed them to go back to playing. Every so often, she would glance towards the beta's den. She knew how important her mate's job was...but she hated the fact that he had to leave to go scouting in the forest. There were days Bella would think he'd miss their pups growing up, then again, they were only four weeks old at the moment.

Clover nodded, trotting after him. "hey" she said to him. "do you...have a problem with scouting with me?" she asked

Willow gave a slight yelp as her sister grabbed her tail, whirling to try and get her sister's tail, until their mother broke them up. Swiftly Willow sat down, staying quiet as her mother spoke, then glancing over as Sage snuck up behind her and tackled her, resuming their play.

Thunder and Drake finished speaking of necessary matters and padded out, the Beta following his Alpha as they moved back to Bella and the pups. "I must go speak with the loners of this wood, but I will not be long, I promise" Thunder said, nuzzling his mate. "Drake will keep watch over the pack until my return" he added, and Drake swiftly bowed to Bella. "I am yours to command my Luna" he said chivalrously.

Fang's ears pinned and he growled low in his throat before glancing back over to her shortly. "I expected we would be patrolling together, as Askari and Lulu patrolled last night" he responded, although it really didn't answer her question, but he was in no mood to answer a female's touchy thoughts.

"of course you do" Bella mumbled as he left a while later. Daisy looked up, and watched her father go, letting out a yip of protest. "oh Daisy" Bella said, nuzzling her, "its ok" she promised turning to Drake. "Drake" she said. "I have a question for you, but you MUST promise me that you will say nothing to the alpha" she said

Clover flattened her ears a little. "I know..but I was just wondering" she said ,as she padded beside him.
