Cookie shrugged a bit. "alright." she said. "wait here." she saw the look in the dogs eyes. "do you want me to jump on your back?" Cookie asked. When the dogs eyes grew wide and he shook his head no Cookie continued. "didn't think so. just wait here" she said, turning and pushing back through the cat door. She jumped onto the couch and crouched down low. Jumping onto the table that was beside the door. Then, she crouched low again, and jumped into the air, landing on the door knob, as it turned and the door opened. Cookie jumped down and looked at Thunder. "She's over there." she said. But as soon as the door was open, the dog was bursting through, pushing past Cookie without even saying thank you. Cookie hissed. "and this, is why I hate dogs" She growled padding back into the living room and closing the door with her tail.

Thunder growled at her suggestion, then waited eagerly. The moment the door cracked open he leapt through, racing to his mate, his eyes locking onto her. "Bella!" he said, his voice full of emotion.

[Abbster]

Bella rose her head from where it lay, curled around her pups. She didn't move from where she lay, as Thunder came racing over to her. "Oh Thunder!" She said, eyes glowing with happiness, she licked his nose as he padded into the box beside her. "how did you find us?" she asked, snuggling against him and feeling some what safe being with him again. "And how did you get in?" she asked. "I let him in" Cookie said from where she sat. Bella looked over at Cookie. "thank you, Cookie" Bella said, pressing close to her mate. Finally! A thank you! Cookie thought as she watched Thunder press close to his mate.

Thunder nuzzled her, breathing in her scent and licking her muzzle lovingly. "Oh Bella, oh i'm so glad I found you!" he said, nuzzling her again then glancing to the cat and giving her a slight inclination of his head before turning back to his mate, getting serious. "Ok, now we need to get out of here fast. We can take two pups at a time, I know the way down, the pack's waiting for us" he said, getting to his paws.

"ok" Bella said, she was about to stand when the upright came storming in. Bella slunk down again, flattening her ears at the rage in the upright's eyes. "YOU!" She spat, pointing her finger at Bella. "DO YOU SEE WHAT YOU DID TO ME?" She demanded, waving her plastered covered hand. "What?" Bella asked, looking at Thunder. "She tried petting me, so I bit her" Bella said. "and she picked up Daisy" Bella added as the upright stormed closer. She reached into the box and pulled Bella out of it. Bella growled in anger, snapping her jaws at the upright. "You" The upright said. "Are going in the crate!" Bella looked at her mate as she was dragged away and into a different room. The upright shut her in a crate and locked the door to it. Storming out angrily. Bella let out a howl of rage. Cookie looked at Thunder. "I'll get her" she said, jumping down from the couch and padding out of the room. She padded into the room where the upright had put Bella, and she used her claws to undo the latch. Bella looked at Cookie. "thank you" she said, before racing back to her mate and pups, she climbed into the box, and began trembling

Thunder snarled as the Upright grabbed his mate, leaping forwards, then skidding to a halt as the cat padded past him. He was shocked that the Upright hadn't even noticed him, but relieved. He nuzzled Bella as she returned, hugging her to him. "Ok, we need to get out of here NOW" he said firmly.

Cookie curled her tail around her paws. "that won't be possible" she said. "the rain is about to start, and your pups are way to young to travel in the rain" Cookie said, as she looked out the third floor window. "You'll have to wait until tomorrow" She said. Bella was still trembling as the upright returned with a bowl of water. "not sure who you are" she said to Thunder. "but here's some water for you" she placed the water down and left, closing the door behind her. Bella on the other hand...trembled with fear as she pressed against her mate. She leaned forward a bit and began lapping at the water. It was pretty refreshing, that was for sure. But there was NO way she would touch those...those...hopper droppings.

Thunder growled, then looked down and sighed. She was right. He nuzzled the pups and his mate, then snarled as the Upright walked in, placing himself in front of her. He kept Bella far away from it for quite a few moments before tentatively testing the water, then letting her drink some, keeping his eyes fixated on the door, just in case. He sniffed the other bowl, nosing the brown bits around. "This does not look like food" he said, glancing to the cat with doubt in his eyes.

"it looks like hopper droppings" Bella added with a sniff to the food. She shuddered a bit and slunk back by her mate. Cookie came padding up. She sniffed the food as well. "its not hopper droppings" Cookie said. "this is the dog food my human just ordered for the dog she's getting in a couple of days" Cookie said. "mine don't look anything like this" she added. "it won't poison you" she promised. Bella looked at Thunder and then down at the food. She sniffed it. "no" she growled, snuggling back up against her pups...although her stomach grumbled loudly with hunger as Bella sighed.

Thunder nudged the food around. Really he had to agree with his mate, but they didn't smell like what she thought they were, and they were hard... so surely they were ok? He could see she was hungry, and she would need her strength, so he tentatively took one in his teeth and nibbled it, then looked surprised. "They're not as good as fresh meat, but they're not terrible, and definitely food" he said, nudging it closer to his mate.

Bella sighed a bit. "ok" Bella said, sniffing the food as she picked up one of the pellets and began eating it. It filled her up and it didn't taste as bad as she thought, so Bella kept eating the food. And in a few minutes, it was gone. Bella sat back down beside her pups. "it wasn't bad" Bella said. "but I miss eating prey" she said as she snuggled against her mate. "I can't believe you found us" Bella whispered

Thunder smiled and nuzzled her "You will have all the hoppers you want when we return" he promised, then licked her nose "Of course, I would never have stopped searching" he said seriously.

Bella smiled as she snuggled against him and her pups, laying her head down and closing her eyes slightly. Some how, managing to fall asleep. She felt more safe with her mate laying beside her, but she still didn't like being in the uprights home

Thunder nuzzled her, laying beside her, but he didn't dare close his eyes, not for one moment.

Bella managed to sleep through the night. Only waking to feed the pups every couple of hours. When she woke up the next morning, she forgot where she was for a second. "THUNDER?!" She screeched, looking around as her heart pounded in fear.
