The feathered dragon listened to the sounds of soft and loud snores, the others are going to sleep she supposed. Quite a ways down the hall she also could hear whispering, but couldn't quite make out what they were saying. Listening still harder, she heard the very soft sound of footsteps, was the elf coming back, she thought excitedly. Wait. No. I don't like him. I never will like him. She snorted and curled down, but her face was pointed towards the door way, she growled softly to herself and hid her face with her tail. But still peeked through the feathering. With a humph she turned herself all the way around and squeezed her eyes shut.
(btw don't wait on Dagor or Elexian, they'll probably sleep the whole night....probably)

With renewed energy, Visilva dove after the last blade, her jaw clamped shut around the weapon in her mouth, claws outstretched for the blade that was streaking to the earth. Closer and closer the mountains loomed. the peaks flashing past her as she plunged through the first cloud bank. Emerging from the blinding fog, she cast about desperately. The glint of metal caught her gaze as she thrust herself forwards growling low in her throat as she tried to build up more power, more speed. The weapon was so close! The cloudbank must have slowed its fall! And good thing... as the ground was much too close for comfort. With an extra surge, she leapt forwards. One claw scratched against the blade, almost sending it spinning off in another direction, but she made a desperate grab with her other claw, and was relieved to feel the metal grate against her scales. She had caught them! Turning her eyes forwards, she let out a startled screech and thrust her wings hard, banking to the left and avoiding the enormous rock face that had rushed up out of the darkness. Twisting herself she dogged through the treacherous mountains, finally finding space to gain altitude. It wasn't until she had burst through the cloud bank that she let herself take a small breath of relief, relaxing her wings for a moment to glide on the air currents. Way too close.

Although she had started this whole little oven argument out of boredom, Regen could feel her electrons zooming. After making sure once again that Sorgen was indeed sleeping, she thought up the best thing to say. “May I ask what force you will use against me?”, she asked, her eyes turning a more attentive blue. “I saw you were bonding with your rider. It seemed the dust really likes spending time with you too, doesn’t it?” Regen herself didn’t like dust at all, but she would never own up to that. It settled on her moist scales and absorbed her moisture faster, speeding her energy drainage rates by a considerable amount. However, since she was in the stables now and not training, she felt safe enough to use the topic of dust as a verbal weapin.

Whilst Harrow ran through the cupboards, Arrow guarded his brothers back, making sure nobody was watching them. The element of surprise or sneakiness was indeed an art they were aiming to master. He took out his slingshot and spun it around a bit, bolting to the kitchen doorway, then peering into the mess hall, where that one flutterflitted plucker pin seemed to be eating her late dinner with very painful fashion. Arrow smirked slightly and stealthily entered the kitchen again to tell his brother of this marvelous opportunity to play some kind of trick.

Harrow soon returned from the cupboards with the needed tomatoes, ''got the fruit,'' he said with a grin, he looked around himself at the mostly quiet kitchen, ''you weren't seen were you? You know it is our strict policy NEVER to be seen while sneaking.''

Leilani's tail twitched in anger, the urge to send some petals flying in the storm dragon's direction almost irresistible. With an effort she tried to calm herself. "Are you that dumb that you really don't know?" she asked with a scornful disdaining look. "And I don't need to bond with her, we're already closer than you and your grungy boy could ever get" she said with a light shake of her head. At the dust comment she growled angrily, her tail resuming its twitching. "I'll have you know that was the first time dust has touched my scales in almost a week. And at least I don't shrivel up like a sun dried grape when it touches my scales" she added with a hiss.

Visilva took another slow breath through her nostrils, keeping her jaws clenched tightly. No way was she opening her mouth again until she was safely to the Nest. A sudden pang of slight pain made her glanced down to her claw, which was wrapped tightly around the second katana. Shifting her claws slightly she found a better position for it, then turned her gaze to the skies. The moon was higher... much higher. This was taking too long. By the time she arrived, everyone would be asleep! With a growl she thrust her wings, soaring higher and catching the racing air currents again. The wind thundered against her outstretched wings, pushing her to greater speed as she focused on straining herself to the utmost. Her destination couldn't be far.

Regen's eyes flashed again at that last line that frivolous flower wing had uttered. "Well, at least a raisin looks a lot better than you, you overdone--", she really couldn't think of what else to say, for once, but then quickly regained her tounge. "you overdone wilted durian blossom!" Sorgen stirred from his sleeping position. Regen held her breath as he moved, then released it again when he settled back down.

Leilani growled angrily, twitching her tail so violently a petal went whizzing off and embedded itself in the stall wall... just a few inches from going over into the other dragon's stall. "Learn your flowers peasant, I am in no way yellow or wilted in any manner" she said in a very disdainful tone "If anything, a hibiscus flower would match me considerably more. So your argument is completely off, as well as the fact that a raisin could never look better than any sort of flower, even a wilted one. A raisin is often mistook for quite another thing, that has nothing to do with beauty" she added with a smirk, remembering the time a certain pea brained earth dragon had followed her "kind" words and eaten the "raisins" that were strewn about an unoccupied stall that a young dreki had visited that day.

Fire lifted his head out of the feed bucket and looked at his twin head Ice, ''what do you think our rambunctious tomfools of riders are doing right now,'' he asked in a slightly apprehensive voice. ''I wish we could just tie them to our stall and never have to worry about them again,'' he concluded with a note of despair.

High on one of the tower turrets, facing directly to the south, a giant hunched shape moved, moonlight glinting off of plated scales. Two huge wings unfolded, the talons on each glistening sharply. Through the darkness, two gleaming eyes stared unblinking across the land. K'ar settled his wings over his back once again, his sharp taloned claws shifting slightly, causing rubble to fall to the distant earth below. Here on his turret, the land was his to watch. He was the guardian of the night, or as some had deemed him, the demon of the night. And who was he to blame them? From his sharp beak like mouth to the skeletal spines running down his back, it was no wonder some thought of him as a terrifying figment of the imagination. That and coupled with the fact that in daylight, he seemed an ancient immovable object. A sudden wailing cry echoed over the distant pine forest, and immediately his spine bordered head swiveled towards the sound, eyes piercing the darkness with ferocity. The lone cry came again, but this time it caused him to resume his previous position. A single wolf was no threat to him, or any in the Nest. If it had been an entire pack it would have made no difference to the muscular gargoyle.

Those listening very carefully might discern through the night's apparent stillness a high pitched scream, or some might say a whine, piercing the darkness. This is when the Tanarad and Rygar came out from their hideout in the forest and entered the quiet freedom of the dark night air. The only emotion Tanarad showed from the back of his bronze colored dragon was a small challenging smile, he was bent completely flat across Rygar's neck, the dragon was flying straight at a breakneck speed. Tanarad could feel the pressure try and peel him the saddle he was sitting in. In a few seconds they cleared the Nest and the dragon suddenly made a downward nosedive at the cliff face that bordered the ocean, wings folded to gain extra speed, just before they crashed into the jutting rocks below Rygar spread his wings and soared back up with the updraft. Immediately after regaining their hight Rygar picked up his speed and they were shooting off across the ocean.

Regen, who in fact detested raisins because they were too dry, sparked up a little bit. This was more fun. Finally some sort of normal conversation. "A raisin is in fact what comes OF a flower, so you should learn your raisins. And yes, they are commonly mistaken for forkffee beans, which is used to make a weird liquid certain riders drink so that they don't fall to pieces." Regen had gotten overheard this information from one of the heads of the two headed dragon, for they had been discussing how it affected their riders in some derogatory way. Apparently it made them "bounce off the trees and make them fly". Why a such thing was bad Regen hadn't made out, but she had taken specific care to place that fact in her long term memory. She sorted through it for some other information she might use against that Sillybiscus Headed dragon. "There IS a flower which is worse than a raisin.", was what she finally came up with. "It is very rare, looks black and red shrivveled upside down mushroom cap, and smells of rotting flesh."

Ice lifted his head out of the water bucket and shook his head hopelessly. "I have no idea what the two are doing, but both us heads know it has nothing to do with anything sensible." He looked out of one of the knotholes in the stable to see if he could catch a glimpse of their two rambunctious riders in the dark. "There nowhere to be seen to speak of,", he concluded thoughtfully, "but they better catch some sort of sleep tonight. If they skip out on it and find some other option to stay awake we may have to freeze them to ourselves during training, or else they will jump off in opposing directions and we will somehow have to catch them." He shook his head again before sticking it back in the water bucket and freezing it.

Leilani snorted again "Not what I meant, but yes those as well" she said with a very scornful look at the dragon. It couldn't even pick up on a hint! What a bag of bricks. "Well MY rider never drinks it" she said with a toss of her head, then growled slightly "It matters not that they come from flowers, I am not representing all flowers, simply the pretty ones such as Hibiscus and Starfall and Amberga" she said in a knowledgeable tone. Not that this dragon would even know what any of those were, she was sure. "You mean the Zombictu flower?" she asked, still in her studious tone. "I must agree on the smell, but the sight of it in the waning evening hours is astounding" she said with a smirk. The petals of this honestly horrendous flower, did in fact light up in a deathly glow in the evening... although whether or not it was an astounding sight or not could be certianly debated.
