Tern and Juhi filed into the den, careful to keep their pawsteps silent. Sabra was indeed sleeping soundly besides her mate.

"They're perfect." Juhi purred, leaning down to sniff at the tiny kittens. "And their names are beautiful." She added, smiling.

Tern nosed at the discarded rabbit bones that lay besides Pixie, "Was the rabbit good?" She asked, trying to make her voice softer, more welcoming. For Juhi. For Juhi she'd be better. "I can take these out of here." When she'd brought the rabbit in the morning they'd talked about their argument, as much as Tern hadn't wanted to, she had apologized to the queen.

Pixie purred again. “Thank you” she said softly. She nuzzled her kits heads. “I may need some sleep still” she added. “I’ll see you guys in a bit. Tern, would you mind catching me another rabbit?0 Pixie asked.

Tern smiled, "Of course." She flicked her tail towards the den entrance, gesturing for Juhi to come with.

Juhi took the hint, shooting a soft smile at the kits and Pixie. "Get some rest." She tossed over her shoulder as they padded out of the den.

Snowflurry awoke beside Clover. But when she woke up, her mother was staring down at her. Snowflurry let out a shriek and she ran to Clovers side, pressing into her as her sides began trembling. “Now Snowflurry” sky said. “That’s no way to say good morning to your mother”

Clover rolled her eyes at the Queen, "I'd run too if my mother was as ugly as a rat." She purred sweetly, shoving poor Snowflurry behind her. Juhi was resting nearby, next to Maple, both she-cats' glares turned onto Sky.

Sky’s gaze hardened. “What did you just call me?” She snapped angrily. “She called you an ugly rat. Which is what you are.” Snowflurry piped up. “SNOWFLURRY!” Sky snarled. “Do you dare speak to your mother like that?” She hissed, leaning forward and grabbed Snowflurry by the scruff. Snowflurry let out a squeak of alarm as Sky grabbed her. Sky then tossed her onto the ground and Snowflurry went sliding against the wall.

Tern was back now, dropping the rabbit near the barn entrance and stalking up behind them, ready to assist if the situation were to escalate- when Sky grabbed the kit, she let out a warning snarl.

Clover growled, lurching up as Sky snatched Snowflurry from behind her, throwing the kit to the ground so hard that she slid against the wall. With a snarl she launched herself at the Queen, barreling over her despite her small size blatantly since Sky hadn't been expecting her to do so. To even dare to attack. She hissed as the Queen tried to toss her off, digging her claws into Sky's fur. Juhi and Tern were beside her quickly, snarling as well. Sky froze, clearly outnumbered.

Juhi's voice was deadly calm, "Do you understand what you just did?" She asked, her claws extended, motioning for Clover to step off the queen.

Clover darted over to Snowflurry, standing guard in front of the younger kit, fluffing her fur up to twice her size.

Tern slashed her claws across Sky's ear, the queen yelping as blood trickled from the long slit. "I wish you were small enough to throw into a wall." She sneered, "You deserve a taste of your own claws." Juhi let Tern take over, both she-cats were livid, but Tern was seething. It was too much like what one of the toms had done to her. Too close to her heart.

Tern lashed out at the Queen again, who flinched as she earned a nasty blow on her muzzle, she gave a frail attempt at a counter attack, but it was prevalent that Sky was incompetent at fighting. Then Tern slashed at her forepaw- that gash especially deep. Then on the other. "Next time." She snarled, clawing the queen for a final time across her chest, "I won't be as forgiving."

There was no remorse in any of the she-cats' gazes as blood dripped from the white she-cats pelt.

Snowflurry was trembling hard. Her hackles raised, and her tail fluffed out. She was pressed against Clovers back leg, trying not to listen to the sound of her mother being clawed. Although, she loved it. When her mother backed away, and ran back to her litter mates, Snoeflurry crumpled to the ground.

Clover watched Sky slink back to her other kits to lick her wounds, then she nudged Snowflurry. "I'm sorry you had to see that." She murmured, "Maybe if you ask Pixie really nicely, she'll let you share the rabbit Tern brought back for her with you." She added, gaze tracking Tern stalk into Pixie and Sabra's den, the she-cat's fur still bristling.

Snowflurry nodded. “I want to stay with you” Snowflurry said as she slunk closer to Clover again

"I'll come with you." She offered, "You need something to eat, you outta be hungry by now." Clover teased, "I thought your stomach was a bottomless pit!"

Snowflurry nodded. “Ok” she said, following after Clover as they went to see Pixie and her new kits. Pixie rose her head, letting out a purr. “Snowflurry! Clover” she said. “What brings you by?” She asked

Clover smiled, "Hello!" She chirped, nudging Snowflurry ahead of her and giving her a pointed glance. She wasn't going to talk for her. Someday the kit would need to grow into her own claws. Maybe that could start today.

Tern flicked her ear, her gaze indifferent as she cleaned the gore from her paws. The whole area reeked with the tang of iron. Juhi was next to her, her friend's tail flicking as she glared into the distance, at where Sky had disappeared, limping back to her other kits to lick her wounds.

Pixie purred. "Hi" She said. "What's up?" She asked. Snowflurry shifted. "Can I eat with you and your new kits, Pixie?" Snowflurry asked. "My mother just threw me across the barn floor" Pixie's gaze hardened. "Of course!" She said, looking at Tern, who nodded and Snowflurry went racing over, trembling a bit as she lay down in between Snowflurry and Sabra.

Tern smiled at Pixie, then at little Snowflurry, albeit tentatively. The tiny kit didn't hesitate as she tucked into the rabbit she'd lay nearby Pixie, who also picked at the prey. Sabra was still sound asleep. Snoring a bit. Tern rolled her eyes, heaving herself to her paws with a huff and turning to Maple. "I might have to fetch a whole new rabbit to satisfy Snowflurry," She tried to joke. Only for Juhi would she try to be nice to this she-cat. For Juhi.
