Sunrise did not blame Nighthawk for what happened he was not a killer in her eyes, no quite the opposite he was a kind and gentle stallion who protected others from harm, she trotted over to join Nighthawk who didn't even raise his head to look at her as she trotted over to him, "Sunrise please..leave me be besides why would you want to be with a killer like me" Nighthawk said as he sadly grazed on some grass well ignoring his mate, "Nighthawk ...your not a killer any horse could see that.. Alpine deserved to die for what he did" Sunrise said as she nuzzled her mate trying to cheer him up, " okay ..I get your point but I am still not ready to be a father yet Sunrise ...can we wait a couple of days...I need to speak to both leaders" Nighthawk said as he galloped over to the shade where the two stallions were talking and grazing together like they were the best of freinds, she would let him leave and instead went over to join Cali and Nike and some other mares who were all grazing in the medows talking about the days ahead for the massive herd.

Sunrise would listen to the mares she knew some from there herd but she hardly knew anyone from Blaze's herd the only ones she knew were Vera and Blurr and there foals, she didn't know if the other mares seemed happy about the herd being larger and more pairs of eyes watching the herd, but at least one of the was talking to Prix a mare Sunrise knew since she was a yearling, she walked right over towards Prix and the mare who looked white but was actually a very light grey, "Hey Sunrise this is Camila she was just telling me about a encounter she had with a lone mare called Haze" Prix said as she moved over to let Sunrise in so they could both speak to Camila, who was very pretty and she had a sense of intelligence about her that made Sunrise shiver slightly.

Sunrise would look at Camila and then Prix until Camila started to speak to them both about her encounter with Haze, "I used to be a lone mare until Blaze took me in and he and Java welcomed me to the herd, I was having a hard time finding food in the winter as every where I walked it seemed like everything had been gone before I even reached it, that was until I met Haze she had been kind to me and we shared everything kind of like we were sisters" Camila said taking a pause before speaking again but before she could speak a distant howl echoed across the medow with it's eerie noise, everyone was on high alert as wolves were a danger to any herd even one of this size she noticed that Java and Skyler were close to Ridge and Blaze, "Java you and Skyler get the mares away from here Nighthawk please go with them me and Blaze will hold off the wolves if they dare to get closer" Ridge said as he and Blaze galloped off towards the edge of there territory, "This way all of you and please listen to what Java and me have to say it is vital we stay safe" Skyler said as she and Java galloped away from the medow with all the mares including Sunrise and the understallion Nighthawk watching there back, she looked back at her mate but said nothing too focused on running away from the wolves that were getting closer with each eerie howl they let out as they got closer to the medow they had just left.

Sunrise would follow Skyler and Java for what seemed like a few hours but in reality it must have been a few minutes as once both lead mares were satisfied they were far from the wolves, they all spread out to either graze or catch up on news and gossip from the joint herd the mares with the foals were grazing and letting there hungry foals nurse, the only one who was not relaxed was Nighthawk he seemed to be hanging around Java and Skyler for now she was stunned by him completly ignoring her and instead hanging around the two lead mares, she snorted at Nighthawk unimpressed with him staying near the lead mares instead of her but let him be maybe later they could talk alone for now it was best they avoid each other, Sunrise would look at Prix and Vera it seems like they were getting to know each other she wanted to get to know the other mares a bit better too but she decided later would be better too as they had just galloped quite a distance, Sunrise knew well Blaze and Ridge were not here Nighthawk would have to protect them all from danger and lone stallions looking for a mare to be in a herd, she just had to hope that nothing would happen well the two over stallions were dealing with the wolves in there grazing medows at the moment.
