When Sunrise a young mustang filly is born she becomes the pride of her herd but as she grows up she starts to explore the herd territory where she finds Nighthawk a young injuried stallion and starts to question what had happened to him but it seems he doesn't remeber is there more to Nighthawk then meets the eye find out in this solo rp inspired by rps I have done in the past.

Sunrise would shake her head and mane it was too hot to be standing in the open so she moved into the shade kicking up dust as she walked into the shade of a nearby tree, she then lowered her head to graze on the grass her tail brushing away the flies that longed to bite her coat, "Oh hey Sunrise nice to see you decided to head to the shade" said Nike as she settled down to graze near her, this was rather new to Sunrise as Cali and Nike hardly ever were apart from each other even for a minute they were best friends, "Hey Nike is something wrong why isn't Cali with you have you had another fight" Sunrise said as she raised her head looking for the bright chestnut mare, "No we didn't fight this time we just decided to take a break from one another for now" Nike replied as she went back to grazing on the grass which Sunrise did the same not wanting to ask why they decided to take a break from one another.

Sunrise could tell that it was going to be hot today her coat was already drenched with sweat that just seemed to attract more flies "I'm going to the lake I need a drink anyone want to join me" Sunrise said, which was shot down by Ridge who galloped over "No you do not have my permission to go to the lake Apollo and Dreamer have been sighted in the area" Ridge said well pinning his ears, she then saw Skylar galloping over her bay coat was so noticible "Dear let her explore she will ignore your warning you know that" Skylar said as she started to groom Ridge, who finally relented "Fine but be careful stallions are not to be trusted remember that mare" Ridge said as he watched Sunrise gallop off towards the lake, she stopped noticing the smell of blood it was an injuried horse at least she thought it was, she followed the uneven hoofprints where she came across a pure black horse she thought it was one of the black mares in the herd but no this one wasn't a mare but a stallion and he was badly injuried he layed on his side unable to lift his head "Hey...can you hear me" Sunrise said to the stallion.

It was then that the stallion gave a groan of pain "Yes I can hear you mare but I can't move my head nor can I remeber what happened to me" said the stallion as he gave a flick of his tail, she looked the young black stallion over he was covered in wounds loads of them "I'm Sunrise do you at least know your name stranger" Sunrise said curiously, the stallion flicked his ear "Name's Nighthawk at least I remember that can you find me someone you trust to heal my wounds" Nighthawk said unable to lift his head to turn to look at Sunrise he just flicked his ear in her direction, she then thought about her herdmates, the only one she trusted was Eclipse but even then the mare could easily tell Ridge about Nighthawk but sometimes it was better to trust someone without judging where there loyalty lied she galloped back to the herd looking for Eclipse where on earth was that black mare she thought.

Sunrise would look everywhere for Eclipse she then saw her she was grazing beside Juniper her sister and the herd new comer Onyx the former tame mare seemed to be adjusting to the wild side very well for being a former tame horse, she walked right up to the grazing mares they each lifted there head to look at her "Eclipse can you come with me please" Sunrise said to Eclipse, the mare then turned to talk to Juniper and Onyx "I will be right back and don't tell Ridge where I'm going" Eclipse said as she walked over to Sunrise, who then started to walk away from the two other mares with Eclipse right behind her.

Sunrise would gallop towards where Nighthawk was she knew Eclipse wouldn't like seeing him but she had no choice it wasn't right to leave a injuried horse laying there unable to get up, she slowed to a walk as she saw Nighthawk she then saw Eclipse walk over to him "Sunrise..who is he ..he can't be here on Ridge's territory you know he will attack this stallion" Eclipse said as she looked the stallion over, "He is badly wounded Eclipse...he doesn't seem like a threat his name is Nighthawk first of all" Sunrise said swishing her tail in anger at Eclipse who didn't really say much of anything, "These wounds there strange...not from a fight..but something else...there similar to the wounds we found on Onyx" Eclipse said as she lowered her head to get a closer look at them, Sunrise reared up in suprise "Walkers did this to him...I never thought they were this dangrous..can we heal him just enough so that he can stand up and walk" Sunrise said to Eclipse.

Sunrise was terrified that walkers could hurt a horse this bad "I think he can be healed but I need the right herbs to do it" Eclipse said as she galloped off to find the right herbs, Sunrise stood guard over Nighthawk her ears alert to even the faintest sound "Walkers ...why does that sound familler to me" Nighthawk said overhearing what the black mare had said, Sunrise snorted "Walkers are the things that walk on two legs and swing vemonless vines that ensnare us" Sunrise explained to to Nighthawk as the stallion seemed confused about the term, "I understand now thank you Sunrise if that is your name" Nighthawk said as they waited for Eclipse to come back with the herbs Nighthawk desperatly needed which was sooner then they thought, she walked over to Nighthawk "careful stallion the herbs I am about to apply will sting a little" Eclipse warned Nighthawk as she went to work applying the herbs.

Sunrise would watch as Eclipse put the herb mixture on Nighthawk's wounds he winced a little as she dabbed the herb mixture on his neck but soon relaxed, "ah that's so much better..thank you Eclipse and Sunrise" Nighthawk said as he rose to his hooves revealing a secret brand on his left hip, it looked like the Silver creek ranch brand the same ranch Onyx had come from maybe they knew each other Sunrise thought, as she helped support Nighthawk till he found his footing on the grass they were all standing on, "Your welcome Nighthawk I only wish we knew what happened to you" Sunrise said as she stayed beside him and grazed her tail keeping the flies at bay.

it wasn't long before the sounds of another stallion caught both there ears attention it sounded like Blaze the lead overstallion of the Pine valley herd, she looked at Nighthawk he was in no shape for a fight "Get away from here and stay out of sight I am going to call Ridge over" Sunrise said before letting out a loud neigh that echoed across there herd territory, it wasn't long before the grey stallion appered he looked at Sunrise as he walked towards her, "Why did you summon me Sunrise...is there a threat here" Ridge asked her she then turned towards the direction where she had heard Blaze, "Ridge I think were under attack by Blaze of the Pine valley herd" Sunrise said as she could see Nighthawk watching her and Ridge but he stayed hidden and out of Ridge's sightline, "I smell him he is near I want you to go back to the herd no matter what happens I can't risk you if I dare lose this challange" Ridge said as he uttered a challange to Blaze which was soon answered, it was then that Ridge spotted Nighthawk the young stallion just froze unsure if he should run for his life, "I remember you from somewhere your injuried pretty badly stallion I ask that you leave now before Blaze see's you" Ridge said watching as the young stallion limped off somewhat suprised by Ridge's kindness*.

Sunrise would gallop back to the herd but slowed down seeing Nighthawk following her she seemed suprised that Nighthawk had followed her, "Why are you following me I don't need protection from foreign stallions no offense Nighthawk" Sunrise said as she walked towards the badly injuried stallion who was limping but was putting on a brave face despite the pain, "none taken Sunrise but I am not worried about other stallions there are other threats out here like mountain lions and sometimes wolves" Nighthawk said as he looked around for any threats to them, there was no way he could run if they needed to escape a predator but Sunrise could she was healthy and uninjured she could outrun any predator, "Thanks Nighthawk...umm are you sure Ridge will be okay with you escorting me back to the herd" Sunrise said as she walked beside Nighthawk there tails swishing at the flies that swarmed there sweat covered coats, "No I think he will be okay with it ..I get the feeling we know each other too bad I don't remember a lot before you found me" Nighthawk said as they continued walking side by side getting closer to the herd with each step.

Sunrise would head towards some shade but then Skylar spotted her and the injuried stallion, "who is this why did you bring him to the herd Sunrise" Skylar said her ears slightly pinned as she faced Sunrise who didn't seem bothered by Skylar's reaction, "His name is Nighthawk and he is injuried he is no threat to our herd I promise you" Sunrise said to Skylar, Sunrise's ears fully pinned back waiting for Skylar to try and chase him off but then she saw herself how badly hurt Nighthawk was, "I'm sorry ...I just am worried about Ridge what if Blaze wins" Skylar said feeling somewhat sorry for Nighthawk, "It's okay Skylar I understand but Nighthawk is too injuried to travel any further he needs urgent care Eclipse healed some of his wounds but there are still so many on him that need healing" Sunrise said

Sunrise would whinny in alarm as Nighthawk collasped she looked at Skylar, "Please..fetch help I don't know how long he has been injuried like this I fear that walk back took too much out of him" Sunrise said trying her best to sound serious, she was worried about Nighthawk he was very badly hurt and would possibly not survive much longer without care of any kind, she looked at Skylar hoping the lead mare understood her concern for Nighthawk and his terrible injuries, "I will fetch help you stay with him..he needs a lot of healing" Skylar said as she galloped off with dust flying everywhere, she lowered her head to look at Nighthawk "Please stay strong Nighthawk help is coming" Sunrise said as she stood guard over him her ears reacting to the slightest sound, she was ready to fight to protect Nighthawk if it was needed as he was the only stallion they had to protect them from harm until Ridge came back.

Sunrise would look up to see Eclipse and Onyx trotting over to where Nighthawk lay she could tell based upon Onyx's reaction they knew each other, "Nighthawk..I am so sorry the walkers did this to you if only I had come back for you and Alvaron" Onyx said as she looked him over with a sadness in her eyes, this suprised Sunrise she didn't know much about Onyx or Nighthawk other then a strange creature called a walker whatever that was, "I will need you and Sunrise to help me there are so many wounds I can't get them all on my own" Eclipse said as she held bundles of herbs in her mouth, "What are these herbs there not going to hurt him are they" Sunrise said somewhat concerned that Eclipse could have brought the wrong herbs to treat him, "No I know a lot about healing my mother was a great healer I learned from her what herbs are good and what to avoid" Eclipse said as she set a bundle of herbs down in front of Sunrise and Onyx.

Sunrise would carefully undo her bundle of herbs and tried to copy Eclipse's instructions, "Chew the herbs up carefully and then grab something to put the chewed up herbs on and then rub it in on his wounds then cover it with some kind of leaves" Eclipse said as she demonstrated what to do to Sunrise and Onyx who were both paying attention with great focus, Sunrise and Onyx would apply the herb mixture to Nighthawk being careful not use too much for each wound that Nighthawk had on his black coat, they then covered the wounds with leaves and other makeshift bandages to keep out infection and the flies, Sunrise would raise her head seeing the grey mare called Mavis who was actually Ridge and Skylar's daughter trotting over to them, she also held a bundle of herbs in her mouth "Here are some more herbs did I grab the right ones Eclipse" Mavis said as she swished her tail flicking away a annoying fly.

Sunrise would flick one of her ears not really paying attention to what Mavis and Eclipse were talking about, she then saw Nighthawk try to get to his hooves but then he fell back on his left side, "Nighthawk please stay down you need a lot of healing and were trying our best to heal you" Eclipse said as she gently nudged Nighthawk, he then looked up at Eclipse "When will you be done..I would like to eat sometime soon ladies" Nighthawk said with a touch of humor as he quietly stayed still allowing them to continue putting healing herbs on him, this day could not get any worse could it Sunrise thought as she kept looking around for Ridge, there was no way he would lose a fight he was too experianced right she thought.
