Cass quirks an eyebrow slightly as the second knight she had reprimanded muttered something under his breath. "Pardon? I didn't quite catch that. Care to repeat yourself?" she asks flatly. Of course, she had heard him. She was merely giving him a chance to correct himself. "No ma'am" he says sheepishly before turning to leave as well. "I thought so." Cass says, shaking her head slightly. They could certainly be exasperating at times. But if she wished to be captain one day, she had to keep a level head even with the more frustrating soldiers. She turns her gaze over to Kenn when she hears her speak. "Not really, what you just saw there was a pretty run of the mill scenario as a tournament grows nearer. It can get much worse at times" she says, running a gloved hand through her hair. She leans forward, picking up the other discarded training sword. "Just got to keep a level head. That's all there is to it" she says.

Kennadee nodded. "I wish I could help train these younger knights, but I never was one to deal with young knights" Kennadee said. "Probably because I never had a lot of patience growing up" She said, with a laugh. "What do you have planned for today?" she asked. Kennadee herself had quite a bit of things planned. She was going to do some archer on foot, and then mounted archery on Shadow, along with some training with Glimmer.

"Patience is a learned skill. Nobody develops it overnight." Cass says. returning the blunted training sword to it's spot. "Nothing concrete... I got most of my training done before the sun came up so I could spend some time working with the younger soldiers. You got any plans for today?" She asks. After hunting, she had taken care of the meat and then made her way down to the arena to begin her training for the day. It was nice training at that time, nobody else was up and she had the arena to herself, free from any distractions. It made for a good couple of hours to train.

"Yea, actually, I was going to work on some archery, both on foot and on Shadow" Kennadee said. "And then I was going to work on some training with Glimmer. I'm not sure if she's ready for the tournament tomorrow" She admitted. "May need to use her for another day" Kennadee said. "Anyway's what are you planning on doing for the first day of the tournaments?" Kennadee asked. She already had most of her things planned. First, she was going to most likely do mounted archer, but she wasn't sure of the schedule quite yet.

"You'll need to decide soon. If you're moving her to another day, then you'll need to speak with the tournament's board to have her time slot moved up. That way they'll have time to reconfigure the schedule and send the updated version out everyone." Cass says pausing. "Fencing, I'm signed up for the morning round" she replies. Her sword was her primary weapon, so she felt ready for the tournament tomorrow. She had plenty of practice with her sword. She would find out who her opponent would be tomorrow before the round.

Kennadee nodded. "Yea, I know" She said. "But I was going to work on training with Glimmer after lunch" She explained. "I feel like that should be enough time" She added, as she got herself some breakfast. When Kennadee finished eating, she grabbed her bow and arrow. "Alright, I'll see you at lunch, Cass" Kennadee said, heading out to the barm to start with Shadow. The first thing she was going to do that morning was mounted archery.

Cass nods slightly, turning to head towards the blacksmith. She would check to see how the younger knight was doing, to make sure that he had made it to the blacksmith to get his sword repaired. And then she'd see from there what else needed doing. There were many younger knights in the tournament who would probably need some level of assistance or guidance. She'd have to stop by the courier shop as well, since she had been notified that there was a delivery there for her, some sort of letter. She wasn't sure who from, but she would find out when she went to pick it up. Chances were that it wasn't anything important, but it was still best to check.

Kennadee had asked one of the barn helpers to feed Shadow that morning, and as they had agreed, Shadow was ready for his training now. She grabbed his saddle and bridle from the tack room and began to tack him up, heading into the arena, to see it being decorated. "Knight Kennadee" A man said, walking towards her. "Hi" Kennadee said. "I'm Jordan, I'm currently setting up for the tournament tomorrow, is there something you need?" He asked. "Yea, I was hoping to do some mounted archery on Shadow" Kennadee said. "Oh, sorry. The princess has asked, per her fathers request that we begin to get the arena ready. Can you train somewhere else?" He asked. Kennadee shrugged. "I guess" She said, as she lead Shadow out of the arena and then she saw Cass walking towards the blacksmith. "CASS!" Kennadee called her, mounting Shadow and kicking him up to a canter to reach her friend

Cass quirks an eyebrow slightly, upon hearing Kenn practically shout her name from a distance as she and her horse began cantering towards her. That was either an unusually enthusiastic greeting, or perhaps something had happened. "Kenn?" She greets in turn. She wasn't quite used to people being quite so enthusiastic to see her, well aside from Gale anyway. But Gale was usually a bit more subdued about it. She seemed excitable at the moment, though with the tournament fast approaching, she figured that was to be expected.

Kennadee dismounted Shadow, and held his reigns. "They're setting up the arena for tomorrow, I have no where to train!" Kennadee said, beginning to freak out a bit. "This has NEVER happened before, where am I supposed to train?" She asked as she rubbed Shadow's neck, which always helped her to relax when she was feeling stressed out. She took a deep breath. "I don't know what to do!" She added.

"First of all, take a breath. Calm yourself. Freaking out will do more harm than good." Cass says pausing. "That's very common practice before the major tournaments, it takes time to set up for them. As for where you can train, there's a building set up nearby, just northwest of the tavern we ate at the other day. It's fully decked out for training. It's not quite the same as training out in the open or in the arena, but it'll do in a pinch. It should hold you over for now" she says, pointing in the general direction of the building.

Kennadee took a slow deep breath and then looked to the direction Cass was pointing. “Thanks Cass.” She said. “You’re a life saver.” She said, mounting Shadow again. “I’ll see you at lunch!” She added, asked Shadow to trot so she wouldn’t use up all his energy before training. Kennadee found the building that Cass was talking about. Kennadee smiled. There was multiple different sections in the building. One space for different types of training. There was a spot for sword training, and jousting practice, even bird training. Kennadee looked around again and eventually saw a section for mounted archery training. It wasn’t perfect, but it would do for now.

"No problem." Cass says. She carries on her way towards the blacksmith to check up on that younger knight. And then she would head over to the courier shop to pick up that letter before lunch. Hopefully for now, that was the last crisis averted. Between training, looking after the younger knights and all, she had certainly been having quite the busy morning. Though that was better than the alternative she supposed. She had never done well with being idle, sure after a busy day she liked to sit and read a book, but she couldn't possibly do that all day. Even on her days off she tried to be productive.

Kennadee smiled as she saw all sorts of different targets set up around the arena. She grabbed her quiver and then an arrow. She kicked Shadow into a gallop and put her arrow into the quiver, pulling back and watching the target come closer. Soon, she released and it went soaring. Hitting the target perfectly. Kennadee smiled, grabbed another arrow and did the same thing again. She worked on that for about 30 mi tues before she could feel Shadow growing tired. She slowed him to a walk and then walked him out of the arena after she had collected her arrows from the targets.

After finishing up at the blacksmith, Cass makes her way over to the courier shop. She picks up the letter and pockets it, figuring that she would read it once she got back to the barracks. She makes her way back to the barracks and steps inside. She takes a seat in the armchair in the corner of the common room and pulls the letter out from her pocket. She breaks the wax seal so that she could open it up and pull out the paper inside. Falcon was sitting perched on her shoulder as she began to look the letter over.
