"Yea, I may need Glimmer to just have some meat today" Kennadee said. "I was going to take it out of the freezer earlier, but I fell asleep" She says, as she rubbed Glimmer's neck. She lets him climb onto the arm chair she was near and then followed after Cass. "How do you get his food ready?" She asked as she sat down and watched Cass get Falcon's supper ready. She would also be giving Glimmer so meat that night too.

"Depends on what I have on hand. Fresh, raw meat is healthiest for birds of prey. So usually I'll just slice some meat fresh from the hunt into pieces small enough for him to swallow. When we're on the road though, we have to make due with provisions, which usually means strips of dried jerky." Cass says, making her way over to the icebox in the common room. She pulls out a wrapped parcel, untying the string holding it shut. Inside was the leftover meat from that morning's hunt. It was cool, but not quite frozen. She pulls her dagger from her belt to get to work slicing it up.

Kennadee nodded. "Ok, well I think Glimmer will like that" She said, whistling for Glimmer, who came over a few seconds later, perching on the chair by Kennadee. "Do you want some meat?" She asked Glimmer." Glimmer let out a squawk and Kennadee laughed. "Guess that's a yes" She said, as she waited for Cass to finish up. "Need any help?" She asked Cass as Glimmer dozed behind her

"That's quite alright, I've got it." Cass says as she continues to slice the meat into small strips. Once she was done, she wipes her dagger off on a cloth and slips it back onto her belt. She divides the meat up into two portions and she passes one portion over to Kenn. "That should be enough to fill her up" she says. She picks up one small strip of meat from Falcon's portion and holds it out towards the bird. His beak was sharp, as was typical of any bird of prey, but she knew that she could trust him to be careful taking the meat. And should her ever accidently cut her with his beak, well it would heal. She had suffered much worse in the line of duty.

Kennadee smiled. "Thanks" She said, handing it over to Glimmer. "Here you are Glim" Kennadee said. Glimmer shook her head happily and began to eat the food that was made for her. Kennadee laughed. "Alright, how about if we go feed those horses now?" She suggested as she left Glimmer to eat. She headed outside and went into the barn. She then headed to the feed room and grabbed the bucket for Shadow's feed.

"I'll be down shortly," Cass says, offering Falcon another piece of meat. If left to his own devices, he would scarf his food down far too quickly. So she had to hand feed him piece by piece, lest the young bird choke himself in his haste. She would head down to the barn once she had finished feeding him to go ahead and feed Bayberry. Thankfully the stallion was good at pacing himself and wouldn't overeat. Colic could be incredibly dangerous, and so it was certainly a relief to now she didn't have to worry about the stallion overeating and requiring vet care as a result.

Kennadee finished up getting Shadow's feed ready and then she headed to his stall to give it to him. When she got to his stall, she dumped the food into his bucket and gave him some extra hay for the night before closing his door. "There you go Shadow" Kennadee said. "Be good boy, I'll see you in the morning" She said, kissing his nose and heading back to the tack room to clean up the stuff she used for her horses feed

Once Falcon has eaten his fill of the meat, Cass lets him climb onto her shoulder to perch while she cleaned up in here. She put the remainder of the meat away and cleaned off her dagger. With all of that done, she begins to make her way over to the stables. Bayberry would definitely be hungry by now. But after he was fed, he would probably settle down for the night. He knew how busy days could be, so he made sure to go ahead and get some sleep at night so that he was ready for the vigorous training they went through most every day.

Kennadee found something for her to eat in the barracks. She started a fire and then put the food onto the stove stop. She heated it up for a good few minutes before it finished. When it did, she grabbed it and put it on a plate for herself. Cutting it up with some utensils and beginning to eat. Tomorrow was the last day before the first tournament, so things were about to get ten times busier than they had been that day. Multiple knights doing training sessions, multiple people setting up the arena for the tournament, the royals beginning to set up...well...they didn't really do anything.

After feeding and settling Bayberry for the night, Cass returns to the barracks. As she entered, she could see that Kenneadee must have just gotten supper for herself. The glow of dying embers could still be seen in the woodstove. She nods slightly in greeting to Kenn as she makes her way over to her bag. She opens it up and pulls an apple out from one of the compartments, taking a seat in the armchair once more to read. Tomorrow was going to be quite the busy day. The final day before a tournament always was. And for some, tempers could be high as nerves got the better of them. She had stepped in to dissolve many a brawl in the past resulting from two nervous knights getting one one another's nerves.

"I have extra if you want some" Kennadee said as she finished up eating her supper. "I threw some extra in there for you" She said, handing Cass the plate of food she had saved for her. "I am going to head up now. Tomorrow is the last day before the first tournament." Kennadee said. "I'll see you in the morning" She said as she headed upstairs for bed. Kennadee opened her bedroom door and then took out her hair, grabbing her brush and beginning to brush it so she could put it in its braid for the night. When her hair was braided, she pulled her covers back and climbed in bed, blowing out her candle and falling asleep.

"That's very kind of you," Cass says, carefully taking the offered plate. She'd probably be up for a while longer. She had always been a night owl, enjoying the peace and quiet that came with the darkness of night. There was that peaceful silence that came with the darkness of night, where it almost felt like the morning would never come. After a certain hour, everyone else was asleep and there was nothing to worry about. All the stressors that came with the day were distant until work began again in the morning. "Night" she says, picking up her book to read while she ate.

Kennadee slept great that night, waking up with the sun the next morning. She stretched as she sat up in bed. When she climbed out of her bed, she unbraided her hair, brushed it out, and then put it in a high pony tail to keep it from getting in her face during training. Then, she put on her tournament/training outfit for the day, and headed down to the common area for some breakfast and morning coffee. She walked up to the morning bar and ordered herself some coffee, then sat down on the arm chair as Glimmer flew through the window. The barracks always had an open window for the animals of the knights who needed to fly in and out.

"Break it up. Now. These things happen. No need to throw fists over it. Save that energy for the tournament tomorrow." Cass mutters, stepping in between two of the more hot headed younger knights. She shoots each of them a pointed glare, making it clear that if they argued there would be consequences. A broken sword laid between the two, seemingly a result of over zealous training this morning. "Take it to the black smith, he'll fix it up for you in time for tomorrow. And if now, he'll loan you a replacement for the time being. Not get" she says, picking up the broken sword and handing it to the younger of the two men. "And you, next time keep a level head. It wasn't intentional, I understand that. But the fact remains that you broke his sword. Apologize and move on. No need to escalate the situation pointlessly" she says flatly. She had been up for an hour or two at this point, the best hunting was done at dawn and dusk, so waking early was a must.

Kennadee looks up as the Cass had to brake up the younger knights squabble. She rolled her eyes a little bit. "Tough morning with those two?" Kennadee asked as she took a sip of her coffee. Kennadee herself didn't enjoy training Knights. It wasn't really her thing. Now, watching the training, that was something she did enjoy. Mainly because they always seemed to get into the silliest arguments. Standing up and walking over to Cass, Kennadee sets her coffee down. "So tell me Cass. How do you even manage to stay so clam with those younger knights?" Kennadee asked her.
