"If I finish up on time, I'll see about stopping by." Cass says, pulling her coin purse from her pocket to pay for her meal and Gale's meal as well. She'd be heading into town from here to see about looking for that lance. If she could find a good one early on then it might not take her too long. But she didn't want to rush into a purchase until she was certain that she had found the right weapon. With how may armories and blacksmiths there were in the area, there would be plenty to choose from and all varying in quality. Some locations were known for being more reputable than others.

Kennadee nodded and headed back to the barn with Gale. "I'll see you later, Gale" Kennadee said, as she headed into the barn to get Shadow ready for some mounted archery training. She put on his saddle, and then grabbed his girth and bridle. Then, she lead him into the arena, tightened his girth, and then set up some targets as she kept her mounted archery bow and arrow in her tack room locker, and then the targets in the tack room as well.

After bidding them both farewell for the time being, Cass heads into town. Her first stop would be the armory where she got her current greatsword. It was run by Mr. Thatcher and she trusted him to take great care when making the weapons he sold. Hopefully he would have some good lances on the market at the time being. She bought most of her weapons from him, from her sword to the dagger she wore on her hip.

Kennadee mounted Shadow's back after she set up all the targets. She had her quiver around her back, and grabbed it once she got Shadow into a gallop. She then grabbed an arrow and let go of her reigns, putting the arrow in, and pulling back. When she released, the arrow went soaring and hit the target. Kennadee smiled and continued with it. She did it for a little while before her arms grew tired.

"Ahh, Ms. Gautier. Good to see you again milady. I hope that sword is still performing well for you." Mr. Thatcher says upon seeing Cass some in. "How can be of assistance today? Anything in particular you're looking for?" He asks. "It's good to see you again as well Mr. Thatcher. The sword is doing wonderfully. I'm actually here about a lance today." Cass says, making her way up to the counter. Mr. Thatcher nods slightly, walking over to the wall where the lances were mounted. "I've got just the thing. Made this one recently. It should do well for you" he says, picking up a lance and making his way over to where Cass stood. He hands the lance to her, letting her get a feel for the weapon.

Kennadee dismounted and lead Shadow back to his stall. She took off his saddle and then his bridle. She put his tack back and then hung it up on his rack. Then, she grabbed a brush and brushed him down. When she finished up, she filled up his water bucket and gave him a thing of hay. “There you go boy” Kennadee said, closing his door and then walking out to find something to do.

Cass tests the heft of the weapon, taking a moment to examine the blade closely. "It's certainly a fine weapon. How much are you asking for it?" She asks, looking over to Mr. Thatcher. "Same price as the sword you bought earlier. I'll even throw in scabbard for you to carry it in." Mr. Thatcher says. "I'd appreciate that, I'll take it." Cass says, pulling her coin purse out to pay for the weapon. Once she had paid, she attaches the scabbard to her belt and safely stows the hefty lance. "I'll be sure to see again at some point. Take care Mr. Thatcher" she says, turning to exit the armory. "You too Ms. Gautier. See you around" he says, heading back behind the counter.

As she had finished with most of her training for the day, Kennadee walks to the barracks and goes up to her room. When she gets there, she closes her door and begins to take her pillows off her bed. Then, she began to make her bed. That was usually what Kennadee did before her morning training, but that morning she hadn't had time. So, she just did it after her training. When her bed was made, she put her pillows back on it and then added her blanket to it as well.

After taking care of the remainder of her errands, Cass returns to the barracks. She closes the door to common room upon entering and makes her way over to one of the armchairs. She pulls out the book she had been reading earlier and opens it up to where she had last left her bookmark. The common room was currently busy, with most of the knights gathered and chatting amongst themselves. This was likely because most of the knights were just getting done with their training for the day and everyone wanted to just unwind and relax. Thankfully the armchair was in one of the quieter corners of the room.

When Kennadee finished making her bed, she let out a relaxed sigh and lay on top of it, grabbing her book to read. She turned on a lamp and then began reading as she pulled the blanket over her legs. She smiled as she began reading. Reading was one of her favorite things when she wasn't training, she really enjoyed it and it always made her happy. Each knight had a sign on their bedroom doors, and the women were on a different hall than the men were. On the signs, they read. Knight Kennadee or Knight Cassadee. The sign always had the knights name after the knight. Kennadee did wonder if there were any other female knights in the tournament. She had seen a few more doors on the womens hall with signs on them, but she never saw any other females.

As the crowd in the common room thins out, Cass remains where she was seated, still reading from her book. It was quiet now. She had always appreciated peace and quiet. There was something almost soothing about the atmosphere of a quiet, dimly lit room with only the sound of pages turning and a crackling fire. Falcon was perched on the back of the armchair, preening his feathers as she read. She had her lance and her sword leaning against the side of the chair, so that she could sit more comfortably than she would have been able to with them both on her belt. Her dagger was still on her person though, and even her other two weapons were within her reach. Though it was unlikely that anyone would cause trouble in the common room.

Kennadee ended up falling asleep on her bed. When she woke up, it was dark out. Closing her book and putting it on her night stand, she heads downstairs and finds Cass sitting in an armchair. “Did I miss Supper?” Kennadee asked. “I’m starving!! I was reading and sorta fell asleep. Not quite sure how, but I just did, so ya know” Kennadee said, as she sat down. She looked around and her stomach growled.

"I don't believe so... everyone is having supper at different times now, since we're not being expecting to join the royal family in the dining hall." Cass says, turning the page of her book. She hadn't even realized just how late it was getting herself. But it seemed like it was indeed getting to be close to time for supper. Falcon was dozing off on the back of the armchair, his talons still keeping a firm enough grip in the leather to keep himself upright. She'd have to feed him as well, before figuring out supper for herself. And Bayberry too. They would both be hungry, and well she could wait until they had been fed.

“Ok good. How about you and I feed the horses and then our birds and then get food for ourselves?” Kennadee asked as Glimmer fluttered in through the open window. Kennadee smiled. “There you are Glim!” She said rubbing her eagle as she landed on Kennadee shoulder. She rubbed her head. “Do you want some supper?” She asked. Glimmer flapped her wings a little bit and nodded her head. Kennadee laughed. “I think I have a frozen fish saved for her in the tack room.” Kennadee said

"You're not going to have enough time for that to thaw, unless you've set it out to thaw earlier in the day. If it isn't, I should have enough extra meat for Glimmer as well." Cass says, setting her book aside. She rises to her feet and holds her arm level to the back of the armchair so that Falcon could step onto her arm. The young falcon steps onto her arm, his talons holding on tight to her arm, though not tight enough to rip the thick fabric of her sleeve. The bird yawns slightly, still half asleep from having dozed off while she read. He would wake up fully once he realized there was food to be had.
