The Tournament of Blades (Private rp with Abbster)

Kennadee nodded. “Yea. I know” she said. “Still a bit nervous as it’s my first time competing on her.” Kennadee said. “I should be fine, it’s just that I’m a bit nervous, ya know?” Kennadee said, with a sigh. She would be fine. She would have to be fine.

"Nerves are to be expected. You just can't let those nerves get the best of you if you want to keep your head in the game. Eventually, if you compete enough, then you'll find those nerves lessen with time as you get used to it." Cass says. She could remember how nervous she had been when she was just starting out.

[Abbster]

Kennadee nodded. That was good advice. Eventually, she finished up her bread. “Alright, I’m going to start brushing Moondapple down so she’s nice and shiny for our session.” Kennadee said. “I’ll see you guys in a bit.” Kennadee said, standing up and heading out.

Cass nods slightly. She would need to get Bayberry ready for the joust soon, but that time slot wasn't for another hour and a half or so and he was mostly ready already. So she didn't have to rush out just yet. But that time would come eventually.

Kennadee reached Moondapples stall and she grabbed a brush, opening the door so she could begin to brush her down. When Moondapple was all brushed down, Kennadee picked out her hooves and then brushed out her mane so she could braid it for the dressage section.

After they had finished their meals and paid, Gale and Cass make their way back to the stands. They had to get a spot near the exit since after Kenn's slot, Cass needed to be able to head over to the stables to get Bayberry ready for the joust. Thankfully they were early enough to have their pick of the seats.

Kennadee put Moondapples tack on and then she put her bridle on, after she finished braiding her mane. She lead her out of the stall and rubbed Moondapples neck. She waited for the announcement to go in, and Kennadee mounted Moondapple and waited to be called.

Cass and Gale took their seats in the stands. The stands were quickly filling up now as the time slot was about the be called. No doubt though that there would be plenty of people filing in at the last minute. That was to be expected at any time but especially after everyone had gone on a break to have lunch.

Kennadee took a slow breath as she watched the riders before her enter the arena. “In Moondapple” Kennadee said, patting her neck. “I’m trusting you to know what you’re doing.” She said. “You got this…we got this.” Kennadee said closing her eyes and taking another breath.

Cass and Gale looked down at the arena as Kenn came out on Moondancer. Hopefully she would be able to keep her head in the game. She had seemed quite nervous earlier.

Kennadee relaxed herself and when her name was called Kennadee asked Moondapple for a trot and she swiftly picked up her easy trot. Kennadee smiled as she began trotting smoothly. She then asked for Moondapple to begin the routine they had run earlier.

"She seems to be doing well so far. As long as she continues to keep her head in the game then I think she'll do fine." Cass says. She knew that the palace horses were given rigorous training. So Moondapple would know what to do upon being given her cue.

Kennadee continued working with Moondapple, and before she knew it, she was done. The crowd clapped for her and Kennadee smiled, patting Moondapple on the neck before trotting her out of the arena. She dismounted and then lead her back to her stall where a guard was waiting to take her from Kennadee.

(sorry I didn't comment anymore yesterday, I was at my friends house for a sleepover and it was impossible)

Once Kenn had finished her routine, Cass and Gale make their way down and out of the stands to check on her. Cass would need to go ahead and head to the stables right afterwards since she had to get ready for the joust. But there wasn't too much of a rush to do so.

Kennadee was confused as to why someone had just taken Moondapple, usually she was used to grooming her horse down, but as Moondapple belonged to the royal family, Kennadee supposed it was needed. She smiled at her two friends. "How did I do?" She asked. She already knew how she did herself, but she couldn't tell if it was as good as she had hoped.
