"That would probably make the most sense. We'll save time by each going about our purchases and then meeting back up here." Cass says, rising rather stiffly to her feet. Having sat since three in the morning hunched over her sword hadn't done her any favors. She slips her whetstone into her pocket and then her sword into the scabbard on her hip. Making her way over to the basket of fruit sitting on the counter, she grabs an apple and takes a bite. That would have to do for breakfast for this morning, since it would be easy to eat on the go. It would probably do her good to get a drink of water as well before she left the inn. And to fill a couple of waterskins so they had water for the journey. It was cool, by dehydration was still possible.

''Alright good,'' he said following her example in picking a fruit from the bowl, ''I'll begin collecting the supplies. Meet you back here as soon as I am able,'' He exited the tavern in began walking in the direction of the infirmary as he ate the apple, just his luck to have to pick up the medical supplies, he hated the idea of having to ask favors of them, wait no he wasn't, he was going to pay them for it, he lifted his head and walked more quickly. Once he reached the infirmary he hesitated at the door before sighing and walking in. The healer noticed him and came up, ''ah Lockian I believe it is, what is wrong?'' Lockian was rather annoyed at how physicians always seemed to remember your name and how they always took the liberty of assuming that you were hurt or that something was wrong. He didn't have any real reason to be irritated, but just the same, he was determined to be so.

Cass nods slightly, making her way over to the barrel of drinking water. She picks up the ladle and dips it into the water, bringing it up to get a drink. It wouldn't do to get dehydrated before the journey even began. After she had gotten a decent drink, she sets the ladle back with it's hooked handle hanging onto the barrel and turns to exit the tavern as well. She takes another bite from her apple as she made her way down the cobblestone street, glancing at the stores as she made her way down the street. One tent would be big enough to fit two bedrolls, so just one tent would likely do the trick. Not to mention that it would make watching one another's backs much easier out there if they weren't stationed in separate tents. She needed to find two waterskins as well so they could transport water easily. And some coffee beans if she could find any for sale. Probably some flint and steel as well to make starting campfires easier. And last but not least, a lightweight wagon if she could find one for sale. Otherwise they'd have to carry everything on their backs. While she could probably manage that, she was still quite sore after well, whatever fight she had gotten into. And spending hours hunched over her sword to sharpen it hadn't done her any good

''Nothing is wrong,'' Lockian responded shortly, ''I just need to purchase of you some medical supplies, for a journey I am going on. Antiseptic and maybe some bandages should be enough.'' Lockian wanted to retreat from this place as quickly as he could. He hated its unnaturally clean smell and hoped very much that the physician would not take long in gathering the supplies. The physician nodded then turned towards his shelves, ''you may need a little more than that,'' he said with a knowing smile, taking some things from his cabinets and placing them into a smallish sack, ''here,'' he said handing the sack to Lockian, ''these will help with any basic injuries you may come across.'' Lockian thanked the man gruffly and pulled out a few coins to pay the man with. After he accepted them Lockian took his leave of the infirmary and breathed in a lungful of pure outside air.

After exiting the first store, Cassidy's arms were laden with a heavy bag containing everything needed to put up their tent, and two bedrolls. Now she just needed the canteens, a kettle, and some coffee beans if she could find them. And of course a wagon assuming she could find one for sale. Otherwise transporting everything would be a bit of a nightmare. It takes roughly another hour for her to gather the needed items. Now with everything loaded into the wagon, she begins to pull it back towards the inn to meet up with Lockian once he had gathered what he had set out to purchase. The wagon wasn't terribly light, especially with everything in it, but she could manage to pull it thankfully.

The provisions did not take long for Lockian to find and buy. And after buying two bags laden to their brims with assortments of nuts, dried fruit, dried meat, and a form of hardtack bread, he starts heading back towards the inn. He had been lucky enough to find a flask of wine for a fair price, this, he knew, they would have to have sparingly and probably only in times of need. Good wine in those parts was hard to come by and was generally VERY expensive, hopefully what he had just purchased wasn't a trick on him by some merchant who wanted to get the stuff off his hands. It was good that the last shop he went to was very near the inn because what he came back Cassidy was already waiting for him there.

Cass was leaning over the wagon slightly as she checked over everything in the bag containing the tent. She wanted to be sure that they had everything before they set out. The last thing they needed was to stop to make camp for the night and find they were missing the mallet or a peg to hold down the cloth tent. She straightens up slightly as she hears footsteps approaching. Turning to see who is was, she nods slightly in greeting to Lockian. "I'll just need to tie down everything once we get it all loaded into the wagon and then we can probably be on our way" she says. She had a large sheet of cloth and a rope to make sure that everything would stay in the wagon while they were travelling. And to protect the provisions in case it were to rain at any point while they were out on the road.

Lockian returned the nod then put the provisions and medical kit into the wagon. He assisted in tying down the supplies, ''good thinking on the wagon by the way,'' he said giving at testing tug on the last knot on his side. Then as an afterthought added, ''I can take first shift, then you can relieve me in an hour, that way we won't have to needlessly get tired out so quickly,'' he told Cassidy. He had noticed that she was favoring one arm and had concluded the fact that her burn was bothering her again, with that sort of pain he knew that it would be difficult pulling a loaded wagon threw rough country. He looked up towards then sun, hmm seems the both of them had made rather good time in gathering the supplies, the sun was not too far into the sky but it was still close to noon.

"Hopefully we'll be able to get a horse once we reach the city... but until then taking shifts pulling it is definitely the best way to go. If you are certain you're fine taking the first shift, I would greatly appreciate that." Cass says as she secures the rope on her end of the wagon. There technically painkillers she could get her hands on if she was desperate. Though many didn't work all that well and the only one she knew for certain worked also could induce drowsiness. While out on the road she couldn't risk dulling her senses. Especially with the likelihood of running into brigands out on the road. Should that happen, she needed to be ready to fight. In any case, she could bear with it as she had been doing since she came to, and chances were for quite some time before that.

Lockian nodded assurance that he was fine with starting and stepped in front of the wagon. He began to pull it and was very surprised to find how light weight and easy it was to pull. Though of course one would get very tired if they did this for a while and these were after all cobblestoned streets. Just wait until they got to the more hilly areas and the inevitable mud they would surly pass through. Pretty soon they had actually exited the town and were heading on their way. ''Cant believe I'm actually doing it,'' he said out loud, ''I'm leaving the only home I ever knew.''

"You sure you're up to this?" Cassidy asks, glancing back at Lockian as she walked. Since he was pulling the wagon for now, she figured she'd keep ahead a bit and keep an eye out for anything out of the ordinary. Should they run into any threats, spotting it early could make a pretty big difference. She wasn't going to force him to come along if actually leaving felt too overwhelming. It was easier for her to leave... she didn't feel like she had a home at this point since she had no idea where her home could have been. But surely she must have had one? They were still close enough to the town that if he decided this was too much, she could walk him back. But pretty soon they'd be quite some ways away from the town.

Lockian shook his head, ''no, I decided I'd come with you and there is no way I am backing out. Especially since we have reached this point,'' he told her. He could not go back to that life, anything was better, literally ANYTHING. He continued pulling the wagon as it creaked behind him, suddenly a grey form shot out of nowhere and quickly over took the to as they were not very far out of town. Lockian wondered when the dog would catch up to them. Grettir, tired out from the run, took up his place behind the wagon and loped after them. A thought struck him suddenly, did Cassidy think he wasn't up for this? Did she think him not strong enough? Wasn't good enough? He began walking a little faster as new determination filled him, he'd show her that he could survive through a couple days of traveling. Yes he could.

Cass nods slightly. "Just checking. I can imagine it must be a big change if this is the only home you've known" she says. She didn't think he wasn't capable. She just wanted him to be sure that leaving home was what he wanted. After all, it was a big leap to make. She glances up at the sky with a quiet sigh. There was little to distract from her thoughts out here. Though perhaps that was for the best since it meant everything was going smoothly so far and they had yet to run into trouble. That would be more likely in the evening.

Lockian nodded and smiled, he appreciated how she thought about him like this and wanted him to be sure that he wanted to go through with their journey. Maybe it wasn't that she thought he wasn't able, but even so, he still wanted to show that the rough life was for him and that he was worth his salt. Lockian maneuvered his shoulders so that he could move the leather strap of his quiver to a more comfortable position. He glanced at the surrounding country, seemed peaceful..... for now.

As they continued along down the trail, the cobblestone gradually gave way to muddy dirt roads. And with it, the sun eventually began to set as well. As had been discussed earlier, the wagon had been traded back and forth periodically throughout the journey so that neither one tired prematurely. Cass had the wagon now, pulling it along the muddy road. Though eventually, she spots a group of figures up ahead, obscured by the growing darkness. One of them was on horseback and the others on foot, five of them in total and she could faintly make out that they were armed from the glint of moonlight against metal. "Best proceed with caution... could be a group of travelers like us, or brigands" she says. If it was the latter, they could have a fight on their hands. Unless a well placed threat scared them off. They were both armed if it came down to that, though combat at different from hunting. But Lockian would need to learn somehow if he wanted to enlist. Now was as good a time as any she supposed.
