"That would be greatly appreciated." Cass says. A good stiff drink sounded wonderful right about now. She wasn't sure if she'd had grog before, but that was the least concerning aspect of her past that had been forgotten. Either way, it was a drink and that was all she needed to know about it at the moment.

The woman nodded to both and picked up the wooded tray. Lockian dug into his food like a wolf, all the mental and physical exercise had drained him and now all he could keep on his mind was food. The girl came back and set down two battered but clean tankards filled with the drink. Lockian took a sip after she left and found the stuff very good, not a favorite, but still good. Looking around he noticed a bard sitting in the corner strumming softly, he had been playing so quietly that Lockian had not heard him till just then. ''Any plans for tomorrow,'' Lockian asked suddenly.

Cass follows Lockian's gaze over to the bard, studying them pensively for a moment. She shakes her head slightly to clear her thoughts before taking a sip of her drink. "Outside of work? I'll probably see if I can speak to Lord Addaway about that blood bay. How about you?" She asks.

Lockian thought for a moment as his eyes roved over the lanterns that hung on the walls and the deer antlers which hung about completed the picture fairly well, “I suppose to try and work on getting that horse to allow me near her,” he finally said, “I don’t know about anything else really. Perhaps get to know a few of the other archers. You think the Lord Addaway will let you buy the horse,” he asked.

"Maybe... I don't know. Won't know unless I ask. But I think there's a good chance he will. If the knight he's hired can't train him then the horse is of little use to him" Cass says, finding her gaze drawn back to the bard. It was an older man. But what caught her attention were his eyes. One blue, one green, like hers. But... how common was heterochromatia? She shakes her head slightly. Surely it was just a coincidence, or the lighting playing tricks on her eyes. "Depending on what time I get off, if you'd like I can show you the basics with a blade. I recall you expressed interest in learning the other day" she says, turning her gaze back over to Lockian.

''Indeed, a very good chance,'' he answered. Lockian followed her gaze back to the bard not noticing the eye colors but thinking the tune pleasant. ''Yes, I did and I would great appreciate that,'' he answered. He would have to find a sword but he knew that the armory would have plenty

"There’s bound to be some wooden training swords in the armory that you can borrow. Safer to use them until you get the hang of the basics, less likely to cause severe injuries." Cass says.

Lockian smiled, ''thats the thing though,'' he said, ''I'm past basics, I had some training in my early years. But nothing past,'' he explained.

"Then that will serve as a good foundation for you. Though if it's been a while since you've trained in the basics then I would strongly suggest a refresher before attempting anything beyond that. The choice lies with you though, merely a suggestion." Cass says.

''Perhaps that would be best,'' Lockian consented. He thought back to the training he had had in his early years, it seemed like a long time ago. He could picture in his mind the general stances and movements, but it had been a while since he had actually done any of them, as he generally preferred fist-fighting and wrestling. But one had to be proficient in all manner of weapons if training to be in an army.

"A lot of training is for upkeep of already learnt skills. Years without practice can definitely dull even the sharpest fighter's ability. So yes, it would likely be best to have a refresher before attempting anything advanced. But you will be a better judge of your own ability than will I." Cass says, taking another sip of her drink.

''You are right,'' Lockian said in full agreement,''a quiz may have to be called for before we dive into the real stunts,'' he consented. Lockian had by now finished his food, though he did it a little faster than was healthy. The woman came out again, ''refill,'' she asked. Lockian shook his head, as much as he would have wanted more, he knew his stomach would probably rue it.

"Much obliged." Cass says, setting her mug down within reach of the other woman. Another mug was unlikely to cause her any problems. She'd had stronger stuff in the short time she could actually remember.

The woman nodded and smiled as she took up the cup and left with it. The door suddenly opened and in walked a tall, cloaked and hooded man. He walked across the room and sat in a corner shrouded with shadows. Clocky went up to him and asked what he would want, the man answered but not loud enough to be heard by Lockian. Clocky nodded and left. His wife came out suddenly and set Cassidy's her grog on the table and then went over to place a plate before the new comer.

"Suspicious fellow, aren't they? Trying awfully hard to hide their face it seems." Cass mutters. Something about this fellow rubbed her the wrong way. What did they have to hide?
