''Sorry, that is what I meant,'' Lockian said with a smile. He quickly passed through the halls, by now he had started memorizing the seemingly endless passages of the castle and knew which ones would take him where. The kitchens, unfortunately, were on a lower floor, but he took the many cold, stone steps as a good warmup for the day, which would get his blood moving and warm him a little more. But as he neared the kitchens the air itself did grow hotter as the ovens fires had long been stoked for the days cooking. He was able to obtain some hotcakes and a cup of coffee from one of the cooks, these he ate quickly before continuing towards the castle gates.

"No need to apologize. It was merely a misunderstanding on my part." Cass says. Once she was satisfied that she had her armor all straightened out, she steps out of the room. She'd have to stop by Lord Addaway's daughter's room on her own way down to the kitchen to collect her. And then she could see about grabbing a cup of coffee and maybe an apple if they had some fresh fruit on hand. Making her way over to the door of her charge's room, she raises one arm to knock on the door. Hopefully the younger woman was awake and ready to go by now.

Lockian stepped briskly towards the stables, he had just enough time to feed the horses before work started. Quickly he poured food into Phantom’s bucket and detailed a stable boy to take him out to pasture for a bit and even allowed the lad to exercise the horse, he was very tame after all. Lockian approached Banshee who let out a bugling scream when she saw him and stamped her hoof fiercely. Carefully Lockian poured in the feed, she stared at him a moment then dug her nose into the food. Lockian was temped to reach out and touch her strange spotted coat but he knew it was still to early, so he turned and left.

After a few minutes without a response, Cass raises her arm to knock again. There was no way she hhadn't been heard. She knocked with a good bit of force, and her bracers were made of metal. Perhaps the younger woman wasn't in there? She'd check the stables. The younger woman had a mare in there, perhaps she had wandered off to see her despite knowing she was supposed to have someone with her if she left the castle.

Lockian checked the blood bay stallion. At least from a distance, the horse's trainer was with it now, trying to get a bridal on it. Lockian almost laughed as the stallion foiled each of the man's attempts at forcing it on. He could tell that the man's patience was wearing thin, finally the guy gave up. He forcefully thrust the bridal to the ground and and stalked off. He could hear some quiet chuckles coming from a few of the stable men who happened to witness, though none themselves cared to try.

Cass makes her way down to the stables, just in time to see the man stalking off away from the blood bay stallion. It seemed he still wasn't having any luck with training the fiery animal. So perhaps her chances of convincing Lord Addaway to part with the horse would be good. But for the time being, she had other matters that she needed to tend with. She couldn't see Lord Addaway's daughter anywhere here. But she could see Lockian. Perhaps he might have seen her. She strides over in his direction, coming to a stop just in front of him. "You wouldn't have happened to have seen Sylvia, would you? She's not in her room, and unless I just missed her it doesn't seem like she's come to see her mare" she says.

A confused look fleeted over Lockian’s face, “no, I have not seen her here,” he said shaking his head. “Not in her room you say? Do you think she could be visiting her parents? Or perhaps eating in the dining hall?” Though he didn’t exactly believe any of these suggestions since she technically wasn’t allowed to go anywhere without Cassidy at her side.

"I suppose it's possible... though she knows she's not supposed to go anywhere without an armed guard to watch over her. The dining hall would probably be the next logical place to check. It's early though... I would have expected her to be in her room at this time of morning." Cass says. Something about the whole situation felt off.

“Yes… this is all very odd. I feel that there is something we are missing,” Lockian said slowly. “Do you know if she has a guard posted at her door at night? Depending on when he gets off duty, he may have seen if she left,” he suggested.

"I don't recall seeing anyone standing guard when I returned last night. Though I suppose it wouldn't hurt to ask around and see if anyone has seen her, provided she isn't in the dining hall or kitchens." Cass says. Something about the situation felt off.

Lockian shook his head, ''no, note in the bedroom or anything. Maybe we should go back and search for one or some other message left by her. She knows you pick her up every morning, that is part of the routine. She wouldn't leave on some random fluke.''

"It's certainly worth a look. Hopefully she hasn't wandered off by herself. She definitely doesn't have the maturity to handle herself out there by herself." Cass says. Any number of things could happen to a young woman out on her own.

''Right,'' Lockian said, he thought back to the incident with the sword in the hall the other day, that girl really needed to be exposed to more real-world realitys. He shook his head, ''yes, we need to find her as quickly as we can.'' He started in the direction out of the stables then stopped, he knew that today he only had to train by himself, so he figured a couple hours lost would not hurt, he could just stay longer in the evening to make up for lost time. He continued out of the stable.

"Not to mention all those... less than honorable individuals out there. Definitely the sooner she can be found the better. I'd hate to think of what could happen if one of them got ahold of her." Cass says. If people were willing to try their luck getting her attention when she was walking down the street armed, then who knew what they'd do to an unarmed, niave noblewoman on her own.

''Aye,'' Lockian answered gravely, the more he thought about it the more he didn't think the girl was off embroidering in the library. They had reached the room by now, Lockian opened the door and stepped in. At first glance all looked well, even the tousled bed was to be expected.
