Nymeria
Nymeria sped through the forest, her paws so light they hardly made a sound, her coat blending with the shadows, and, unseen, she slipped past the border guards with an ease born of practice. She knew instinctively that she was nearing whomever has emitted that pained cry... but then a scent hit her, like a wall being slammed into her face. She slid to a halt, dropping to the forest floor, her eyes darting about, her entire body on high alert. Uprights. Nymeria had never been near them until she joined this pack... but she already knew the smell. And it was so close. It was almost as if... they had been in this forest itself. Her pace slowed and she cautiously stepped forward, her body low as she kept her eyes shifting around constantly. This was not good. As much as she hated it... she would have to report back to the Alpha on this. But only AFTER she finished her own mission. But could this be a trap? The uprights surely made such traps to lure them in, or so she had heard here and there. Nerves taut, she channeled all her power to her senses, and her paws and like a wraith she slipped through the undergrowth, weaving in and out, never moving in a straight line. So far the scents, as she now realized, were not intensely strong... but that could change in an instant. Another foot... another yard... she kept her movements fluid, pausing to scent every few steps. Finally she caught hold of a thread of a scent she had been hoping not to find. Blood. Despite all her best instincts, her movements quickened. The scent of wolf soon followed, although she could not pinpoint to whom the scent belonged. She never stuck around the pack long enough to remember, but at least she knew she was on the right track. A few more minutes, and she knew the wolf was just ahead of her. Along with his scent, the scent of upright had grown even stronger, along with a scent that was so almost like blood she could barely distinguish the two. But this one seemed colder somehow. Cautiously she stepped along the forest floor, her body tensing. Just behind those bushes... then she would know. Ever so slowly she slid her paws forward, slinking into the foliage, and focusing her eyes as she peered through... It was as bad as she had thought. A young wolf, one slightly familiar, lay on the ground, one leg twisted slightly in an odd position... almost as though something were trapping it. Immediately her muscles almost sent her flying forwards, but she forced herself to lay still, scenting the air. With assurance that all was clear, she slowly stepped out of the brush, her pale eyes fixated on the wolf.

Phantom
Phantom scuffled the ground a little bit. She had to clear her throat to get the lump of nervousness out. “The hunt went well” she said. “I found a ton of hoppers (rabbits) and a few long legs (deer) as well.” Phantom said. “The long legs were quite small so it made the kill on my own easy.” She said with a bright smile. “The prey was quite plentiful today as well. Quite the good selection. If you ask me, the long leg would be the best choice for your mate.” Phantom added.

Drail
Drail nodded to Arijta then turned to listen to Phantom's report on the hunting, ''I'm glad all goes well, you are a fine huntress,'' he said giving credit where it was due. ''The long leg you say? Well thank you I will have to-,'' he stopped suddenly when he caught sight of Viron and hid bloody shoulder. ''Viron,'' he said, ''what happened to you? Where did you get this wound,'' he asked the wolf quickly.

Viron
Viron would face the alpha "Alpha the uprights are becoming a threat ..they have started to fire weird weapons, one of them held by a upright hit my shoulder and it fired a weird metallic object, they have also laid down weird metal contraptions in the area around the lake" Viron would say, well aware of the fact that the alpha and the two female hunters could see his shoulder wound which was still dripping blood, he knew that this issue did not just affect there pack but the wild horse herd in the area that so far had left the pack alone to there territory, but he knew the uprights would become a issue for both of them sooner rather then later as more came, maybe tomarrow he would try and talk to one of the wild horses alone, but that would be foolish the entire herd was almost in one area he would have better luck talking to a coyote that was scared of wolves.

Arijta
Arijta was stunned by what Viron just reported this news would put the whole pack in danger, "This will make it hard for us to hunt and find food if this is the case Alpha as we can't hunt and watch for dangers at the same time" Arijta said still shocked that something that had seemed so passive before could suddenly turn around and become a huge threat for there way of life, she then looked at Phantom was she just as stunned by Viron's report she wondered, as her ears went flat back against her head and she took on a fearful posture unsure what to even say or do at this moment in time.

Orca
Orca was more cautious about the horse "I don't know Britz I am not sure this horse looks like it plays with young foals" Orca said before taking a step towards the unknown horse who seemed curious but did not move towards her, she could smell a odd scent like nature but a harsh chemical version of it, "Yuck this horse does not smell like it has even rolled in nature let alone be out in the wilds" Orca said as she backed away from the horse, she then looked back towards Valor and the other members of the herd would it be wise to even talk to this strange horse away from the safety of the herd she thought as she dug one of her hooves into the dirt.

Bard laid his head on his paws and let out a small whimper, though his eyes never lost that new-found gleam. Suddenly Bard's ears turned at a sound behind him, if there had indeed been a sound, for it seemed like no more than a leaf falling to the ground. He lifted his head up and looked back, he startled to see a wolf standing there. Not just any wolf, this was a particular she-wolf that struck more fear into him than even the Alpha. Part of this was because of her appearance, she seemed to be made from the forest itself, as it seemed, as she could step out of thin air, wether from the shadows or an empty field. Another reason was her altogether stern countenance, and that she was a loner, with a past not known, at least not to him. He felt his tail instinctively tuck and his eyes widen whilst the fur on his back bristled ever so slightly.

Fiero
Fiero would watch the herd from the safety of a small ridge near the medow, she could see the two older foals looking at a upright's horse, "What are they doing that horse could hurt them" Fiero said as she watched the two older foals walk towards the horse, she wasn't sure if she should stop them as she was scared of stallions and she had scented one in the area probaly the lead stallion of the herd, so she just watched for now keeping a eye on the two curious older foals, her tail would swish at some flies that were annoying her a lot, as she watched on she could see the upright horse becoming nervous and uncertain what to do, she let out a loud neigh which seemed to alert all of the herd members she just prayed they didn't spot her up on the ridge.

Nymeria took a moment to observe the young silver furred wolf as his ears flicked towards her. Swift senses... at least of hearing. Smelling? Most likely not so much considering he'd walked into an upright infested area, she thought with a mild wry scorn. Despite the fact he was only two years younger than her, she found herself feeling a measure of pity towards him. He seemed strong from what she could tell... and the more she stared at his silver fur, the more she seemed to remember seeing him at some point. Certainly, he must be part of her pack. And then his head turned towards her, his pale gaze reflecting her own. But his reaction to her, was one she had not expected. His eyes seemed to flash with sudden alarm, instead of relief, and his fur bristled up, at the same moment as his tail shifted between his legs. So.. he was scared of her? This was a new knowledge. Keeping any emotion from her gaze and expression, and yet not diminishing herself in any way, she took a step forward. If she could only remember his name, perhaps she could relax him enough to figure out what the problem was. But such memory was not Nymeria's strong suit. Instead she slowly stalked up to him, staying behind him as she brought her head down to sniff the cold hard stone like object.. which was clamped around his leg. What deviltry was this? She could not understand how it had closed about his leg in such a manner. Lifting her head, she looked back over steadily into his uncertain gaze. "What is this, and how did you become entrapped by it?" She growled in a cold stoic tone, betraying neither concern nor disapproval, and hoping he could find enough air to reply comprehensibly.

Nexus
Nexus shook his head when his mother spoke. "Why mama?" He asked. "Its safe with you....scary with everyone else." Nexus said. "Mama safe." Nexus said as he pressed into his mothers side. When she looked around with pricked ears, Nexus felt himself instinctively press closer to her. "mama ok?" he asked

Valor
Valor would lift her head hearing a strange neigh echo across the medow, she then looked over to where the two foals were and saw the weird horse they looked really nervous and could possibly hurt Orca or Britz, she had a bad feeling that something bad was about to happen but that could not be the herd has been safe here since she arrived, "I wonder who neighed I can't see them unless there above us" Valor said as she looked up and spotted a red dun mare, who seemed terrified but why there was not any threats nearby as far as she knew in the medow everything was calm and quiet.

Bard
Bard stiffened even further when he saw her coming closer and he could not help but avert his eyes a few times. But forcing his head higher, despite his awkward position, he tried to keep his senses as fixed on the female as determinedly as he could. ''I,'' he took a breath, ''I know not,'' he answered, willing himself not to cower at her cool gaze and tone. ''I was... scouting this way and stepped into this thing by accident and it trapped my leg.'' He tried to turn his leg to relieve tension but yelped as the action sent spikes of pain all the way to his flank. ''Please help me,'' he said in a near whimper, he could not hide his fear and disparity of the situation any longer. He was stuck and would probably die in the spot for all he knew.

Drail
Drail felt his nose tingle at the acrid scent of gunpowder, though he did not know what it actually was. He nodded once, ''I have been afraid of this for a long time,'' he said gravely. This was a serious matter that effected their entire valley and all of its wildlife. ''Viron, I suggest you go and see the healer immediately, who knows what it is that those uprights shot at you.'' He shook his head, there was nothing he could do about the upright threat now except double the guard and keep the scouts on higher alert.

Nymeria
Nymeria kept her gaze on the wolf's leg, although she did glance up at his face, judging his expression, and the tenseness in his shoulders. The young wolf seemed to recover his dignity, raising his head and responding to her slowly and calmly. She gave the slightest nod at his answer, although her mind was racing, and she barely bit back a scornful remark on the fact that if he was scouting, he should have been using his nose. She would at least try and let him recover his dignity. But he ruined it all as he shifted his body, and let out a cry of great pain, the suffering evident as all his composure was cracked, reducing him to a quivering young tortured creature. In the pit of her stomach, something twisted. It was unfamiliar... but it seemed to be... was it pity? compassion? She gave herself a small shake, getting herself out of her head, and leaning down to sniff the contraption again. "Lay still, you'll only make it worse" she growled gruffly. Calmly she began nosing the leaves away from the edge of the cold trap. Hearing a whimper, she glanced up, her eyes still cool, betraying no expression. "Calm yourself, panic helps no situation. I shall help if I can." she said stoicly, then turned her attention away from the wolf's pleading gaze. She began sniffing the ground again. Upon closer inspection.... the smell of the cold metal seemed to not only be coming from the trap itself, but from something just under the surface of the forest floor as well. Suddenly she raised her head and began digging at the spot, her strong young muscles rippling under her dark coat as she moved faster. Suddenly the clink of metal greeted her claws, and she stopped, reaching her jaws down to clamp around the piece of cold stone daringly, and pulling upwards. With a shower of dirt, a chain of metal flew up from the earth, almost smacking her in the face as she darted back. It landed with a thud on the ground, and she moved forward cautiously to sniff it. It lay still now, and she slowly tracked it all the way to the trap, then back to the end again. It was attatched and buried... it had to have something to do with releasing the young trapped wolf! "I believe I have found a way. Be prepared to move swiftly as soon as you feel a release of pressure" She growled firmly over to him.

Viron
Viron would take the alpha's advice and rushed off to find the healer, he slowed to a walk as he approuched the den where the luna currently was he knew the healer was here but he did not want to bug the healer if they were busy with the luna so he just waited outside the den, his ears could still hear the sound of the weapon but it was faint now and barely bugged him, "I wonder if the luna's pups are coming soon these will be the first pups in the pack in sometime" Viron said as he waited for the healer he carefully examined his paws for thorns or wounds but found nothing, he then looked up seeing the healer they did not look pleased to see him here, "Viron what brings you here to me" the healer said as they walked over to Viron to examine him, "That is a very odd wound Viron I will need to flush it out before I can do anything to repair your shoulder" the healer said as they held a water tight leaf up to his shoulder and dumped water on the wound, he winced as the water washed away some of the blood on his shoulder, the healer then looked closer at his wound "This might hurt Viron but I need to get the object out of you" the healer said as they fished the object (A bullet) out of his shoulder.
