Arijta
Arijta would drop her fearful posture as she started to feel hungry, "Hey Phantom I'm going to get some food you want to join me" she said as she looked respectfully at the alpha before she leaped down from the sunning rocks with ease, her smaller size made her look tiny next to the alpha but that didn't bug her, as normally a wolf of her size would be a omega as they were not as strong as there packmates and were often smaller, however she did not exactly fit the omega rank as she was just as strong as her packmates despite her size and could hunt with the best of them, she gave a shake of her fur to smooth it down after hearing Viron's shocking news, she knew this would affect the pack and make hunting dangreous but the pack would need to eat and it was the hunter's job to provide the food the pack needed.

Phantom
Phantom looked up from her grooming as her friend spoke to her. "Oh, sure I'd love to!" She said, dipping her head respectfully to the alpha before she stood to her paws and shook herself out a little bit before following her friend to the prey pile. "Hmm, what looks good?" She asked out loud.

Bard
Bard gritted his teeth, GET YOURSELF UNDER CONTROL WOLF, he berated himself severely. But he couldn't help but start breathing hard. Instincts wanted him to bolt but the thought of the pain achieved by moving kept him still, maybe this strange, forest colored wolf could help him. He stared back at her helplessly and licked his dry lips once. He laid his head down and tried and pinned his ears back, but tried to relax himself. He looked back suddenly to see the chain snake through the air. Bard released a loud yelp and jerked his leg causing him to howl with pain, the end of it all reduced him to a shaking nervous wreck. But somewhere in his pounding mind he heard Nymaria's voice and surprisingly comprehended it. He gulped once and nodded. Squeezing his golden eyes shut before opening them again... ready to run.

Britz
Britz shook his head, “come on Orca, please. Maybe she’s just a different kind of horse,” he suggested trying to get his friend to follow him. “If you won’t come with me, I suppose I will have to go on my own,” he said starting towards the stranger, though he really wanted the black and white horse to follow. He did have to admit that the horse did smell off to him but he put that thought aside as his young mind thought of how fun making a new friend would be.

Nymeria
Nymeria looked over as a howl erupted from the quivering wolf on the ground, and she sighed to herself. He was so jumpy! She looked over again after she spoke, being sure he hadn't fainted, but thankfully he seemed awake, and by the tightness of his muscles and the slight shaking in his legs, she could see he had heard. Moving forwards, she sniffed the chain again, her eyes following it across the ground and over to the trap. For a moment all she saw was a tangle of metal, and then she caught onto something. With the young wolf's leg in the trap, the jaws were not completely closed, and there was a space between the treacherous metal teeth. Grabbing the chain suddenly in her mouth, she stepped closer, her nerves tense as she brought the chain close to the trap, trying to wiggle it in between the teeth. The trap creaked, and she was sure the shifting must be causing the wolf much more pain. With a quick flick of her nose she finally got the chain to hook onto one of the teeth and she immediately pulled back, keeping tension as she didn't remove her eyes from the trap. She could only hope the wolf was ready, because she couldn't tell him to move with the chain in her mouth. With a growl of determination she spun, planting her back claws in the earth as she lunged forward, her weight making the trap groan, and begin to shift open. Her eyes were almost burning a hole in the forest ahead as her muscles bulged. She snarled deep in her throat, gathering more energy and pushing forwards, her vision set on a tree ahead. IF she could just get further...with another leap and tug she reached the tree and pulled herself around it. Now she had something to assist her strength. The trap had begun to creak open, but was still resting lightly on the wolf's leg. With a sudden deep growl she yanked on the chain, swinging her back legs around to push against the tree, pulling the chain, ignoring the pain as it began to cut into her gums. A sudden loud creak echoed through the clearing. It was open! Now would be his only window of time.. because she could already feel her limbs begin to weaken.

Orca
Orca would look at Britz and then the strange smelling horse, she noticed that Britz and this horse smelled almost the same except for the scent of chemicals on the strange horse, "Umm hello" Orca said nervously to the horse they looked at her curiously but said nothing back, however it did move closer to Britz which was odd as this horse had probaly never been in the wilds before let alone tasted wild grass in it's mouth, "Hello young foals i'm sorry for acting so nervous I just don't meet many wild ones out here" the horse said as they catiously sniffed Britz but ignored Orca completly as if the filly was not even there with Britz, she was confused why this horse took intrest in Britz and not her was there something only the two of them knew and she didn't she thought as she trotted in a small circle trying to get the strange horse to notice that she was even there and a freind of Britz's.

Drail
Drail nodded to the wolves and took his leave. He should start getting the guards at the borders alerted and placing some extra wolves on watch. Swiftly he loped back to the den area and scanned the place for wolves who would be up for the task. He found a small group of young males loitering about and recruited them immediately. He also found three females and also sent them. He walked the ways with the two he sent northwards. That is where he knew the chief guard wolf was to be and new that to be the place of the most Upright infestation.

Valor
Valor looked up at the scared red dun mare there was something a little familer about her, but Valor shook it off she had Nexus to look after she could not just leave him to chat to the red dun mare, so she ignored her and focused on Nexus who was probaly terrified by the sound of the mare who had neighed from above them on a small little ridge overlooking the herd, "You okay Nexus that didn't scare you did it" Valor asked her foal as she had one of her ears facing the ridge the other one was trained on Nexus and the herdmates, so she could make sure she and Nexus were safe from any threats that could possibly come there way.

Nexus
Nexus jumped at the sound of a loud whinny. "Was that someone from our herd, mama?" He asked, feeling the need to press against her again. He felt his gaze go around a little bit wildly as he gazed around at the group of horses on their land. He saw one he hadn't seen before. "Who's that mama?" He asked, as she looked at the red mare standing a good ways away from the herd, but it was still noticeable.

Fiero
Fiero would make her way carefully down the ridge to introduce herself, she knew she was terrified of stallions but with the uprights becoming more of a threat she knew that living in a herd was better then living on your own at the moment, so she slowly trotted down to join the herd down below her, she calmly grazed well the herd looked at her as if she was not welcome but making no move to drive her off either, she would raise her head looking around for any sign that the leaders had seen her but maybe they were busy with other things and would deal with her when they had the chance, she had seen a mare and a foal from atop the ridge along with two young foals but no other horses at the moment, this made her think this was a rather small herd like many were since the arrival of the uprights, who had decimaited large herds by capturing them and taking them to somewhere Fiero didn't know and did not want to know.

Bandit
Bandit also heard the neigh ring over the heard and he looked up from grazing, his ears flattening against his head. Firefly looked up and saw the mare. "Bandit" Firefly whispered. "Stay with Riptide" Bandit said, as he began to canter towards the mare. "Bandit! What are you going to do?" Firefly asked. Bandit turned to look at his mate. "Talk to her" He said calmly, before he raced the rest of his way to the mare. When he reached her, he slowed and pawed at the ground a little bit. "I am Bandit, the lead stallion of this herd. What are you doing on our land?" He asked.

Bard
Bard started panting and his eyes were growing wider as fear started clouding his mind again. What was she doing? Is she going to hurt me? Pain. Pain. Pain. He closed his eyes again and clenched his teeth hard. He wished he could just bite something. He heard the rattle of the chain again and started shaking uncontrollably. Then he felt something else... the trap was beginning to give. Slowly, excruciatingly slowly. He threw his whole mind into the task of waiting for that one moment when the metal jaws would open up wide enough for him to slip his foot through. There wasn't anything around him, all he was searching for was that one second of release. Suddenly it came, up he went and bolted, running about ten meters into the forest. The trap hadn't actually opened up all the way and because of this he had lost quite a bit of fur and flesh. The adrenaline was gone now and this is when the real pain set in. He looked back at his leg and saw the scraps of skin hanging. Suddenly he remembered Nymaria, the whole reason he was free. Lucky she had come, he thought almost turning away. But didn't, she helped him, the least he could do was thank her. Slowly and painfully he limped back to the spot where the trap was, looking around to see if the black and tan mottled wolf was still around.

Britz stood rigidly as the horse sniffed him, then slowly and carefully he returned to gesture, ''th..thats alright,'' Britz answered it, ''uh this is my friend Orca,'' he said pointing towards he with his nose. He thought it odd that the horse seemed to pointedly ignore her. He gave the horse a curious look just then, ''what do you mean by 'not many wild ones out here,' aren't we all wild horses,'' he asked, his young mind very confused as to what the horse was talking about.

Nymeria
Nymeria let out a sudden bark of pain and let go of the chain. It whipped around the tree trunk, immediately followed by a clash of metal. She shook herself, opening her mouth tenderly as she felt the new wounds. Why she did these things she didn't know. Or rather she did... but she didn't like thinking about it. With a shake of her fur she turned, pale eyes scanning the area. The wolf was gone. In his place was the trap, with telling whisps of fur, and even some flesh still attatched on the horrendous teeth. She shuddered slightly. Gruesome to say the least. But where had he gone? Surely with such a wound he could not get far. For a moment she hesitated. She was not one to seek out other wolves... but he was wounded, and with his apparent lack of smell, he could possibly get into even more danger. Just as she made the decision to go search him out, moving over to the trap and beginning to figure out which way he had sprinted, she heard a noise in the brush. Immediately she spun, eyes wild, teeth bared as her fur bristled, for a moment seeming larger than life as she hunched up her shoulders. Until her gaze focused on the young wolf who had just emerged from the brush, a pained tenseness in his muscles and in his eyes. She managed to relax slightly, striding up to him with sure steps and staring him down. "You need to get back to your pack before that festers, or an Upright stumbles upon you" she said abruptly in a growling tone.

Bard’s fur stood on end and he half crouched to the ground, he whimpered pathetically as the action caused him pain. His eyes rolling upwards with surprise and fear at the sudden show of teeth. He calmed slightly when she started speaking, apparently ripping him to shreds was not what she had in mind… thank goodness. “I wanted to th… thank you for helping m… me,” he stammered, getting back to his feet. He shook his head emphatically when she suggested him going back, “no, I’m not going back to them, they don’t need me. I’m…” he paused a moment gathering up the last shreds of his dignity, “I’m leaving, I’ll go somewhere where they need me and that I can do something, and if that doesn’t work then… then I will be a loner.” A surprised expression crossed his face at this sudden tirade, it filled him with a little more courage and solidified his decision, making him even more determined to leave… today.
